skatha
I live across the street from a young widow with 2 kids-her in-laws are over often to help. Lundstrom's the name-plus very blond and blue-eyed-you can't get more Swedish than the mom-in-law, I can hardly understand her. She has a 960, the husband has a S60. He's told me he's never buying another Volvo again, either...
Justin A.
The 100% Saab Saabs got a bad name because they went through a series of deaths throughout their usage. I had a 1990 9000 before the 9-3 Aero and it was in the process of going through its 2nd death at 170k miles. The first one hits around 70k. They are sometimes worth keeping through the deaths depending on the attachment to the car. We ditched mine after it overheated and toasted the alternator. But they were still good reliable cars. But yes, I do think that reliability may be up since GM finished the takeover. I don't care, I love my car. ________ NEVADA MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Derf
I had no idea that volvo was bought by ford. damn :-\ With the Ford/Volvo/Mazda ownership/cooperation/mixup, the Volvo S40/V50 is a souped up Mazda3 (actually a Mazda3 frame with a Volvo body and drivetrain). Same with GM/Saab/Subaru, the 9-2 is a disguised Subaru Impreza (different front end, not sure about the engine).
skatha
My Volvo S40 is the old body/S70 looking Volvo. I hate the new squished bug S40/V50's.....that body style came out with the 2005's The old S40, I think, shared a chassis with the old Ford Focuses.....it was def a Ford Volvo, though--my cup holder broke before I had it a year The antenna wouldn't retract, then broke off 6 months ago-okay, because I had already upgraded to Sirius. My old rock station on FM got bought out by "Mas Musica Latino"... But that's another thread

Really? The S40 looks so much bigger than the 3. Same with GM/Saab/Subaru, the 9-2 is a disguised Subaru Impreza (different front end, not sure about the engine). Barely disguised. Yes, same engines. The Aero is a WRX. My friend picked up an Aero during that GM employee discount promotion for a song. They were practically giving away the 9-2. Like 8 grand off the sticker. So he got a nicer WRX for less than a WRX.

mirror70
Since I'm not cool enough to have a bike of my own, I need to live vicariously through Chad. What do you mean by different front end? Body? The engine seems the same as WRX but not WRX STi. BTW I raced autocross against STi's yesterday. Well with 120hp less, much heavier car and street tires I could not do much on my first event. But I am shaving off some time run after run with less skid. I guess two pedal technique to balance car does not pay off... at least not in autocross with less powered car. It just wears out the gear :( I hope to catch up with sloppy drivers in more powerful cars next events. I hope to get to BMW M3 times as those guys seem to be way too hot making terrible mistakes as I was doing on my first runs (overheating street tires - no good at all). At least I did not miss or hit any "gate"/pylon, but I was tight in some turns. Wellll I almost mist one pylon, but I came back with some stylish spin of car and made circle around it to avoid "off course".
Maciek
Guys at Bomberonline, What is your size limit for pictures? I have created one 800x600 and 32KB. i tried 640x480 and no luck. ""The file is too large". What do you mean by that? What is size limit? Some guys post pretty decent pictures and I bet the file fits. I try to upload something that usually would qualify for a thumbnail yet the forum complains about the JPEG. Do you have limitations per user? I do not get what happens with this forum limits. That is not the first time, but last time I was able to post something at about 60KB. this time even smaller brings trouble. Any idea, Jack? Thanks. Justin A.
The forum might be complaining about the actual size of the file. The limit is 97.7K and 600x800 pixels. If you're using photoshop, go to file, then save for web. Adjust the quality of the jpeg until its below 97.7K and the actual girth of the picture is less than 600x800 ________ SRX

Adjust the quality of the jpeg until its below 97.7K and the actual girth of the picture is less than 600x800 Justin, That's what I did and not the first time. BTW I do not use Photoshop. It has rather poor JPEG compression comparing to some other photo products. This time however I used GIMP - simple as that. As I said the file was about 60KB and the forum complained. I swear. I even tried file 32KB size with Bomberonline. Perhaps it does not like my browser, but hell, I am not going to use IE on Mac. If this is requirement for Bomberonline I will pass.
