Neil Gendzwill
Rode there lots in the late 80s when I lived in Cowtown. Lovely place, real family vibe, no tourists.
garybergmann
https://powdercanada.com/2022/02/fortress-resort-on-track-for-2023-opening/ Of course, we've all heard the same for the last X number of years...it's like Rick Mercer's "Seven Day Forecast" That being said...I have hope. I still miss Fortress. Seeing the images from the inside of the chalet brought back good memories...
bigwavedave
Wow! Spectacular alpine scenery! Not as high as it looks either at 8,400 ft., for those of us who are oxygen challenged at altitude. So, there's cat skiing there? Found this old post by Rob Stevens surfing there:
Deuxdiesel
Fascinating but sad- I hope it gets to reopen. Michigan has a lost ski area website and there are literally dozens of small areas that have shut down, plus a few of the larger ones as well. I don't think the future climate bodes well for this industry.
