Jack, I hope you made the right decision :ices_ange ...

The given radius is an average of different radii, so it is not the tail radius in particular. But I found with the SG boards that the differences between the radii in the separate sections of the board is not as big as with certain other companies. But it is still VSR.

Here are mine for this season ... 163 and 185 ...

To be part of the team :biggthump !

No seriously, there is no reasonable cause behind it. I liked the graphics a bit better than the normal version and you only live once. ;)

There is also no reasonable cause why my sneakers are so expensive or why my Goretex Pro Shell jacket costs as much as a good snowboard :ices_ange ...

Oxess 158 SBX, SG 157 and unridden as yet, SG PRO 180-just waiting for second Vist plate!

As soon as my legs are ready and the rest of the Hill opens....I'll ride that big bad boy!

Hey Martin,

What are your Go To boards for freeriding or teaching? Nice foils...

They were in the full quiver picture I didn't post!

For general teaching, beginners, basic freestyle/boxes/rails etc, I use a 155 Never Summer SL-R. For more advanced/high speed/freeride students I use my 159 Raptor. It is still really agile at slow speeds, carves switch easily and is stable at speed (got it up to 65mph last winter).

My bindings for both are Rome Targas, last years and this years. For boots Nike Kaiju (softer) and Rome Marshalls (stiffer).

I do still get to teach a few Alpine lessons a season (I think there are only 2 of us in Utah that offer them through an official Ski School), and would usually bring both SG's to the lesson and chat to my student then decide which to use.

Sweet boards MD. Just wondering, why Vist and not a Boiler Plate or something like that?

I think I've figured out why I like the SG cheetah graphics... similar theme as my beloved Safari!!!

+1 on the Safari!

Ended up with the Vist because of an 'offer I couldn't refuse', bumped into a Vist Rep and hit it off and did some contra deals. Would love up try the Bomber one day, love supporting Finn too!

Good point, mc-alex!

The Vist is a proven design that is still heavily used in the World Cup. The best SG riders in Landgraaf (men and women) were using Vist plates. Therefore I don´t understand why SG left out the inserts. I know that some racers on different levels are not happy about the decision. First I thought that SG wanted to push their own plate system, but as they are not even selling one at the moment, it is even more mysterious.

There might be "better" systems out there, but it would still be nice to have the option.

Of course, it is no problem to drill holes for the Vist plate in the middle, but who likes to do that?

Hi Martin, hope you are well. You have a mighty fine quiver. Bit of a change from the beloved PJ's. I am bringing my 7 out of retirement this year, should be a hoot.

How do you find the smaller SG, I love my 163.

Hi Darren, you'd love the 57, reminds me of your PJ5S...that was a fun little board! It feels like my slalom skateboard, that's why I dig it.

Let me know how the 7 rides, sometimes those old boards aren't always as cool as we remember. I finally got an Agression Stealth...unless you are going fast AND on nothing steep, it was pretty awful :-(

Hope the 7 is more fun, I still miss my Hot Logicals...
