I'll assume they are for shock absorbtion. Where do you buy them, and how much are they? "Snow Stix" are effective at both absorbing vibrations and tuning the flex of the boards. They are carbon fiber and were produced for years by Mike Tinkler. They are currently only available for purchase with a Tinkler custom snowboard. Mike has looked at bringing back Snow Stix for retail sales and has decided not to due to cost and liability issues. The board on the far right is my personal board. Built originally for another BOL member and I bought it from him. It is my current favorite. All three of the board in the photo are actually "TNT" or split tip and tail models which works very well with Snow Stix. Mike's new board is inserted for Snow Stix and he did mention today he would have liked to have been able to tune the board on a couple occasions today.
