Mark Brown
Loaf! Loaf! Loaf! Fabulous mountain, no crowds, and don't forget the Bag Burgers! 12.5 hour drive for me and worth every boring minute... Thank goodness for Books On Tape (well CD actually)! martyagt4
Hell I'll drive it. It's only 17 hours. Through Canada. Have to bring my passport to go to Maine. Drove to Jackson Hole last year. That was only 26 hours. 17 will be a piece of pie.
xxguitarist
Anyone at Stratton, Okemo, Sunapee can ride at any other of those moutains for free. Direct to lift no getting a ticket.I vote Stratton. Actually I vote for Sunpee, but it is too small for a ECES. EZE This! I'll have a pass there this winter. Also either okemo & stratton OR gunstock & wildcat. Was it you I ran into there last year?
fonzone
Sorry if I missed this but what are the dates for ECES?
GeoffV
We have not announced any formal plans as of yet. We are shooting for either the last week in Feb or 1st week in March. If it's at the Loaf it will probably be the last week in Feb, if it's at Stratton the first week of March.
fishrising
While the 'Loaf is great, and the drive may or may not be a determining factor, if I had a vote, it would be for Stratton...for selfish reasons though... EDIT...and now that I am also back on skiis, I will have no issues taking pics or videos when I am at ECES.
loupa5
Loaf! Loaf! Loaf! Fabulous mountain, no crowds, and don't forget the Bag Burgers! 12.5 hour drive for me and worth every boring minute... Thank goodness for Books On Tape (well CD actually)! Hey, I'm for the Loaf too, never been there but I like the no crowds comment. If it favors the Loaf maybe we could split the ride. I vote the Loaf!! jtslalom
I would like to see Stratton hold the ECES. If it were there I could actually go for the first time plus have a close place to stay.
trailertrash
I have a place at the Loaf but I would vote for Stratton as well. It is better for the event.

GeoffV
Gang, we are trying to get a few critical pieces of the contract settled before we can even consider to announce a location. Please be patient it is a lot of work trying to get a contact set up for an event like this.
Jack M
Well, we can say this... If we can get Stratton to bend on a few points of their proposal, it will be there. If they won't budge, it's back to Sugarloaf. We would like to have the event at Stratton this year if possible for the central location and better selection of intermediate terrain. We are trying to get this wrapped up ASAP, but there are a few items we simply cannot rush. We'll let you know when it's final, thanks for the interest!
