  1. Sorry to get more off topic but how late are the mountains in that area usually open? If I don't get my carving addiction fix for next year, I wouldn't mind a trip out there right after finals for a week or two...or three.
  2. dizy + softies + beat up madd = sick carving A gang of pharmacists and us future pharmacists took advantage of an empty last day at loon. He was nailing turns this past weekend. It also showed me how soft my beat up Madd BX is. Its flexier than my friend's Burton Vapor. I'm guessing the Madd has had like 100+ days, so its expected. He was railing it left and right on the oxygen sx before too. He tried pointing his bindings forward up to 60 or so on the oxygen but with the soft boots, leaving it at high 40s to 50s made more sense. Hardbooting next season will kick ass! Great progress this season, for both of us. Loon kicks ass. Next time, think twice before thinking a mogul run (angel street) will be fun. Keep poppin them pills and heal that ankle.
  3. a true inspiration to us all.
  4. I'm gonna give that toe trick a try. The speedster is my fave board for now. Great board. If you can find it cheap, grab it.
  5. holy crap you're kicking ass!!! Those conditions look godly.
  6. Loon is done. I didn't see anyone else that I knew out there today. Under the Kang, there was more waterskiing than snowboarding and on walking boss, it was chopped up and hard. Rest of the place was somewhere in between which isn't bad. The park was packed and it looked like the park monkeys were having a competition today...who can hang their pants the lowest and not look like a duechbag. There were no winners. Snowed and rained for most of the day made us pretty miserable but for a final day, it wasn't too bad. I'll be getting up to the big K next weekend i think. It was a pleasure riding with you guys the other day and this season. I learned alot and wish I met up sooner. See ya next year. Good luck in your races Joe.
  7. I'm going for the careboard. Looks solid and perfect for the hills out here. I'll be doing alot of midnight cruising on the streets of boston because there are sooooo many streets with nice pitches and good pavement. Still holding onto winter though.
  8. Does your front boot click in easily into the rear binding?
  9. Dropping the hip seemed easier on my Silberpfeil than the speedster, but i think thats because I can barely get up to speed in this snow. I worked on the counter rotation more day but for the most part, the conditions barely let you carve after 11 in the morn. I.D.? I got bad luck with the cops as it is, but no worries, I'll be drunk by 8 am monday. Maybe we'll swing by there either way. 21 in 2 months! . Gotta sober up by 8 pm though cuz I got some killer tests on tuesday. Not cool. btw, thanks for the beers the other day. They defintely hit the spot because most of my day was spent going 1 mph trying to teach a friend to snowboard with no bunny hill working. One last day at loon tomorrow with a nor'easter coming. Hopefully I'll be able to make it home aright.

    Quick Question

Willy added some character and comedy to a forum that definitely needed it at times. I love bomber but it would sometimes be a dry place without him. Most of the time, when I see his posts, I'm rolling on the ground laughing. I hope all the problems get resolved
  11. same here dave. I think there were 5-6 hardbooters that I spotted today. Just a nice chill day.
  12. If its a 240, then either the tail is 100 cm or those bindings are made wide enough for bigfoot.
  13. are the VT mountains as empty as the NH ones? There was no one at loon today, although it did get chopped up fast. I might take a trip to killington if I can find my voucher. Probably next weekend.
  14. Ahhh, I see exactly what you mean! I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow. 2 days of carving left, so i'll make it worth while. Anything different I should do with my hips?
  15. wet day today. Firm but super chopped at noon. I was teaching a friend how to ride so not much carving for me today. Slush Monkey, funny you mention that because about 3 hours ago I called my friends to tell them the trip was off for a few more weeks, especially if we get snow again next week. 2 reasons, I figured the that its the final weekend for loon so why climb for 45 min per run when you can get one every 10 minutes while sitting down. Also, I figured the type of snow we got would make for some crazy slides out there, I didn't even bother checking the report. Thanks for the concern though, I really appreciate it. Conditions should be prime in the morning. See ya guys there bright and early.
  16. i heard about these last year. I'm in as long as nothing else comes up. I'll be getting a board, just don't know which exactly, maybe even a slalom one.
  17. i'm there tomorrow as long as my car holds up. Tranny probs with the shagon wagon. I've put on like 7,000 miles in the past 3 months on it i think, almost all highway, and its still sh!tin the bed. wtf.
  18. yep its "Gleb." it was sweet seeing more carvers at okemo. Wish I could've taken some turns with you but I was with a large group of people. The conditions were almost perfect as far as I could tell. See ya around there next season.

    Quick Question

I just noticed that Willy was banned. I'm curious to why and when is he going to be able to come back.
  20. the sx is awesome. I love it and since I got it cheap, i'm not too worried about it. It seems durable too. If I see one for sale somewhere, I'm snatching it right up. I want to track down a Vokl Bx too to compare them. I love BX boards. I saw sparks flying when I was trailing Bob Dea on his brand new Tanker.
  21. to say i'm not jealous would definitly be a lie. How often did you get carvable snow? It seems like you're just getting powder day after powder day which is nice but not what I would love.

    Steep and cheap

I have a toko 800w mouse. But spending almost $200 on an iron seems excessive. No? clips like that willy, make me love Mad Tv all over again.
  23. I'm aware of the avy report. I've been keeping an eye on it. When I was there 2 years ago, we were climbing up. My friend shouts out "ICE!!!" Before I had a chance to look up, an ice ball hits me right in the knee. The pain went away but it still freaked me out a bit. Wish we could have some carvers representing. See ya there next year enzo. Dave, I'd never bring my nicest board to tucks. i'm bringing my Oxygen SX or Madd BX (the madd is pretty beat up now). I'm so psyced for this weekend!
