  1. My last day of exams is May 11. What happened last year was that my dad drove down to help pick up my ****, I said I would follow them in a couple hours. Called them up, "I'm coming home tomorrow, staying with a friend tonight". Next day, "Coming home tomorrow, staying with a different friend tonight". So basically, that weekend would be good for me. I don't fish but I will be down with chilling for a few hours. See you soon.
  2. My Mom's April Fool's was telling me she was on the phone with her mom who was on the phone with my friend and told me my friend was pregnant and getting married in Australia. I hope his is actually real Congratulations !
  3. I just did a mass e-mail for this one :p Merci beaucoup
  4. I tried some Solomon twins and they were like noodles the were so flexible- definitely NOT the thing for the east coast. My current twins are Head Madtrix which are actually on the stiffer end of twins so I highly recommend those if you will be touching ice. As a westerner this took getting used to no matter what the equipment was though- as a carver you'll know the power of a diamond stone
  5. first off- the skis are all way more versatile than they were ten years ago- even some of the most specialized ones. I own a pair of head twin tips that I use for regular skiing all over and I don't do jumps and there isn't powder out here. They are great skis though and I actually raced on them last year with the ski team. Thank goodness I now have an additional pair of slalom skis. the current trend is to increase the width of skis- so they are actually producing "fatter" skis and people are asking for them in stores more (according to my former boss in the Ski store) BUT I'd say they probably are posers if they actually never go to parks. Or you could just be catching them on a bad park day (such as no snow) and unlike many people who alpine board, they may actually only have one set of equipment. (they are probably posers)
  6. I love this stuff! Thanks. I think the urban stat is wrong. In one or two years we should have the urban pop surpassing the rural.
  7. I say, you should buy yourself a wonderful pair of slalom skis... I LOVE CARVING ON MINE SOOO MUCH :-) Screw tele-marking!
  8. In celebration of the new 2000, I'm dating a guy. Its brand new. We have tons of issues to work out (personal and interpersonal) but its quite exciting. We'll see if it lasts a week since it barely lasted two days. HAHAHA ooookkkkaaay- I just pulled an allnighter and the last time I was unconscious was shortly before five in the afternoon YESTERDAY. Seriously though, we'll see I neeeeeed sleep. PS- I love early mornings and wish I would get back into getting up at six. Also, this morning at seven, it finally dawned on me. Sunset is only so romanticized because people have sex in the dark.

    OT: Dog Nut

Thunder- I got him front of Longs for free. My Mom to my Dad "Honey, when are you coming home from work? We have a surprise for you." My Dad when he gets home "Oh ****. Did you look at the size of his feet?" [He was about a foot tall] He lives in Reno with my Mom and Sister and Katy (the Westy). They don't have tons of stuff.
  10. When I am drunk and cuddling with my friend, who would also be drunk, we talk about gender inequalities or plato and aristotle. I think its nerrrrrrdddyyyyy. :p Quite frankly though, the ability to do that with someone, or just sit and do sudoku together, is priceless.
  11. I've decided I was not raised in a an environment supportive for this kind of intelligence
  12. Does anyone know how much each one costs for like a minute of normal usage? (Keep in mind with the jet-cat you need to pay for the helicopter)
  13. Wow. That was brilliant. I am going to have to prove that one to my friends!
  14. I was wondering in general how people find themselves race Coaches. Do you search online or get someone through a referral?? What has been the most successful way of finding coaches? Is there some kind of coaches forum or jobsite? (I'm specifically looking for a ski coach next year but was wondering about the topic in general) Thanks a lot!!
  15. I think one of the reasons why guys are intimidated by strong women is that these women often don't leave room for a guy to be useful in their lives. I think that guys generally need to somehow feel useful or needed or else there is no way the relationship could be balanced. I'm open to other people's interpretations behind why many guys might be intimidated by strong women (other than the obvious low self-esteem, etc)

    got chubb?

Vielleicht konntet ihr jetzt richtig Deutsch lernen. Dann konntet ihr vielleicht ja auch noch mit ihr direkt reden!!
  17. I'll be meeting up with some people at Kirkwood Wednesday (Feb21) partially to pick up a snowboard. I'm posting on TC also.
  18. I live fifteen minutes from there. Do you think this guy is considered a hero by the "cool" people or just creepy? I'd be kinda creeped out by a naked guy in the gondola by himself. If there was another person there on the other hand....
  19. May I suggest Wednesday the 21st at Kirkwood? I plan on meeting up with Jeff there to pick up a Burton Ultraprime. Kirkwood is two hours away from me which kind of isnt that great but hey, its carving right?
  20. Im flying out Friday (16th) and then I will be returning to Boston on Friday (the 23rd?) again. I will need to make a trip to South Lake Tahoe to pick up another board. I am not sure if I will actually go snowboarding there though (because I want to bring a pair of skis, and flying back with one pair of skis and two snowboards might seem a bit much if I am only there for a week). Do you think you might be able to make it up to South Lake Tahoe/Kirkwood for a day? Let me know if you don't have my cell and I'll email it or text it to you (I've got yours). Hope you are enjoying yourself!!!!
  21. you could move to reno and chill with my mom ... she likes kayaking, skiing and going to concerts
  22. that was amazing!!!!! Thanks so much for linking that
  23. I fly United multiple times a year between California and Boston and I've never had a problem with my gear. I usually take my snowboard and my skis in the same soft snowboard bag. I also wrap them with my ski clothes and have my boots in the same bag- no problem.
