  1. Are those metal tops or silver paint? Wow I am way over my toy budget for the year. This may push me a bit further if only I can find one. Any word on where those NOS might be? Is exoticboards.com a reputable retailer? They are not listed on the main Rad-Air site.
  2. Greg thats beautiful!!! I want to try that ride
  3. Still trying to wrap my head around having one side with a shorter and the other with longer running edge. Certainly not the asymmetric board I am used to with the same sidecut offset to keep the center of a carve between you heels and toes. That said I think there is something to the feel of an asym and cant wait to try my "new" PJ7. This makes the Lib-tech banana look sane http://cdn.lib-tech.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/1314-Lib-Tech-Banana-Banana.png
  4. Feeling MADD Board arived today and looks GREAT :) waiting for snow Thanks
  5. Strava is awesome! Love to track my rides and have found a few routes I didnt know about right in my backyard while mountainbiking here in Durango fun to see how different each ride is. some days I feel like a superstar and then look to see that I was slower than anticipated. otherdays I feel like Im going to die and see a record on strava
  6. I just ordered a board from Bruce :) Thought I was going to order a VSR AM as I want a versatile all mountain board for powder, trees, and bump chutes so I can get to more powder. After some discussion we settled on a modified asymmetric core SL race board with and some of his magic mixed in. Needles to say I am super stoked and cant wait!!! Cant say enough good about Bruce and the way he works with you to find/create a board. Last time I ordered and ended up with this new board he was working on that seemed to fit my desires - can you say Nirvana? There are way more options than on the website will be back to let you know how it rides
  7. I'm not just being a contrarian but seriously why are we discussing a company that has not given any love to our sport in 20 yrs? Yes they were great. Yes I just found the dreamboard of my youth a PJ7 and am super stoked to ride it. Are they relevant today to snowboarding? probably just as relevant as Quicksilver/Roxy are to surfing. How many surfboards do you see leaving the Quicksilver store in the mall? Can you climb Everest with (NorthFace, Patagonia --- fill in name) top level products? Sure but what percentage of those companies sales actually leave a sidewalk? When you think Lacoste is it hard core tennis products by a tennis pro that comes to mind? Not likely, more likely you see a preppy kid with their collar turned up. These companies know that there are a very limited number of people who actually participate in their sport but many that dig the lifestyle/image and have morphed to style brands rather than equipment manufacturers. In the long run for a company to survive the trends this may be a smart thing to do. As for LAMB all I can say is why didnt I know about that earlier? would have saved me a fortune spent on Bogner for my wife. Oh by the way I love my Burton digital camo outfit. Will I ever ride a modern Burton board - Not Likely. Bemoan a few people who have figgured out how to live the party - Never. PS - absent neglect from the behemoth an innovative community has arisen - If they still were the dominant powerhouse recent innovations we enjoy would likely have been squashed in pattent wars
  8. If madd isnt taken please send me pics and put me next in line
  9. sign me up - I want one! when you are ready tell me how to purchase or get on the early list
  10. I dont think I have ever seen TD3 SW splitboard bindings - Pics please :)
  11. Thanks! Board is mint as described - cant wait to try this winter
  12. If this isnt sold yet then count me in
  13. are the center disks 3 or 4 hole?
  14. Hi - I tried this today and wondered if anyone has done something similar. My Indys are more comfortable and a bit stiffer than the UPZ 10 that I have but I love the way my heel doesnt move on the UPZ. Today I rode front foot Indy and rear UPZ. It may be the best of both worlds. Comfort was overall improved and my rear heel didnt move while the front foot had more support. Not sure if ill try again and sadly the local snow is waning so if I do it will be next season.
  15. Uppers arrived today and are near mint Thanks Jacob Jason
  16. Carving from 1989 - 3 buckle burton cruise with sorels and ski boot tounge hardboots from 91 on an kemper asym with raichle flexons This season puts me @ 26y Don't miss those boards but I do miss the DayGlo neon style
  17. Put me second in line if things don't work out
  18. 39 - and as of tomorrow 25ys snowboarding
  19. Unless you have a specific detail to pass on to the authorities It is a bad idea to contact them! By the same logic used about her being overly concerned about the murder - thus something to hide, your reporting her may bring greater scrutiny to you. Karma has its own timeline but it will take care of things. Your action will only serve to entangle yourself in her high drama thread of life.
  20. I guess I dont know what you mean by new side cuts - If it is as I assumed that you meant variable radius sidecuts then you are mis-informed as there are good reasons to have a freecarver with VSR! If you meant something else then I appologize in advance. " If your style is more like a racer when you carve than it may be better for you. I can still make my 9.1m sidecut radius out carve a newer radius board." Pray tell what you mean when you speak of this carving? I have seen a few racers and they damn sure can carve! By what metric are you out carving a newer radius board? Do you mean tighter turns? laying down as in your icon? Perhaps it is as simple as you just like a short radius board which by the way is a shorter radius than the Sword guys who EXTREMEcarve. As far a gay - I dont have plate experience but I am sure after riding my board that It isnt straight because it just doesnt want to go that way. Actually I was thinking that it was bi because it seems to get action wherever it goes, in all conditions and seems to please everyone and of course turns equally both ways.
  21. This year I went from a similar vintage Oxygen board to one of Bruce's Nirvana balance boards. I can not comment on Kessler or suspension plates but will speak to the new sidecuts. It took a few rides to figure out the variable sidecut! On my 1st day I almost regretted buying my "dream board" without riding one 1st. My riding was very tenative and quite a step back from what I was used to. This was obvious to my wife who commented on how badly I was riding. "you dont look like yourself. It looks like you are going to fall or crash into something. Is your board broken?" I probably would have taken my Oxy along on the next day to regain confidence but only have one binding so I couldnt easily switch off between the boards. 5 days in there is no chance that my old board will ever be ridden again!!! My riding has improved greatly by embracing the new variable sidecut I have more control of my carving. All of my riding i freecarve in variable terrain. Now I need to learn about (buy and try) suspension plates! Bruce says my board isnt right for a plate so I guess I will need to get another one.
  22. Awesome work restoring my link to sanity and snowboard goodness :) I think we need a buy Jack a beer button
  23. :( I was up to Purg last week and had prime spring ski conditions and good groom for carving. The weather has been extremely warm this week with no snow forcasted out to 10 days. This weekend I didnt go back but received some very unfavorable reports of snow coverage, quality and quantity. This upcoming week I will likely be up to Telluride and will report back. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/member.php?3954-OhD was supposed to be in Durango this week you might check with him. As far as boards - No local shops have any. The closest is an old burton alp 5.7 mounted on the wall @ 2nd ave sports. On the positive side there are some good closeouts on clothing and Dynafit boots. My advise - Bring a mountainbike! You would not believe how good the biking is right now.
