  4. Oh **** thats too frinkin funny....the crazy thing is skiiers really think that way ! Theyre afraid of some primevil thing about snowboarders deep in the subconscious....Like dreaming of an encounter with a bear or gorilla .... whered you get that shirt....is it still available..Im 58 but Ill wear it..... old school still rules......
  5. that cartoon is too too funny!!!!! Dont make eye contact! I love it!!!!!
  6. I shoot inexpensive weddings ($400.) and was looking to get a backup for my E-1 also. The only gripe with E-1 is they seem so crappy in low lite conditions.I just upgraded the firmware to 1.5 and will be testing the AF Illuminator. It seems a little better. I was looking at the Nicon d-80 which isnt that much more expensive .I really like Nicon color and skintones.Although I hadnt thought of Image Stabilizing lenses...A good used E-1 body with low(2000+) exposure count is still going to cost me $350.Maybe I need to look aat the E-3.What are the Pros and cons on that body?
  7. whet happened to that really well rendered computer Freeride simulator software that was out a couple years ago and was supposed to be released the next fall? Did it bomb out? I saw a demo then nothing. Then it vanished off teh web as far as I could tell......it looked like really nice mountain graphics etc...just wondering.....
  8. where Can I get into a reasonable slalom board for a 225 lb.er I.m thinking just some fun parking lot riding around cones to get started but would like a flexible deck if possible for my weight.reasonable quality. maybe a pintail longboard. :D
  9. Doe sanyone know a rule of thumb for figuring out what kind of longboard deck to get for a 200 lb. rider? I used to ride skateboads down big hills in Pittsburgh PA. we sort of built our own longboards out of rink skate trucks etc. looks like a fun diversion to help get through summer Im assuming i want a pintail for beginning?
  10. What body are you using? is that a Nicon? looks like nicon color .really sharp crisp shooting .....great photos....
  11. Is that a Burton Alp Asym? I think the Amps were Brown in 95 and orange in 96, but could be wrong.i cant seem to connect to the photos lately..... could i get a photo of the Amp or Alp? I think it was a goofy right? Id like to get an Alp before next season.
  12. Wow! Thanx ....I owe you.....I might as well order the whole second board mount kit and get a set of canted mount plates for another $20. bucks....cool beans........
  13. I just scored some old TD1,s off Ebay and got the blue bumpers with them. I never tried Trenchdiggers before but assume you can adjust the pressure you put on the board edge by using variable bumpers? Is that what the discussions were a couple years ago when the Trenchdiggers were the latest thing? If so.Does anyone have a set of the softer bumpers? Or where can I get them? What am I looking for? I have a really stiff Prior 4wd I want to turn a little easier.....?
  14. Hey that looks a lot like the original Griswold Dutch Ovens that used to be made right here in scenic and exotic erie pa....They are quite collectible now and still can be found at garage sales if you look hard......
  15. do I need the special boot heel to use the TD2,s ?
  16. I am looking for a nice gently used Prior 4WD 159-161 size. Let me know if you have one that you want to let go.Does anyone need some extra christmas moola?...thanx....eastcoaster
  17. I would like to look into what a used Prior 4WD would cost me. Im getting rid of all my softboot gear and going back to the hardboot setup. It will take a few weeks to scrape up the bread and a few ebay auctions probably.....anyone have one they are not using presently?.....thanx
  18. I really like my K2 Zeppelin and a set of Catek Freerides on almost any kind of snow...(except hard hard icepack)
  19. We need some serious rain to raise the stream levels and get the Steelhead up in the holes. If the Old Farmers Almanac is even close to correct,we will all be torn between surfing the earth and going after the chrome adrenaline rush...anybody else ever been to Lake Erie Tributaries for Steelhead. Its a zoo right now as Pittsburghers are already travelling up here to Erie .November should be great.........:D
  20. I always wear a helmet after hitting a wet patch of deceptive looking ice while going into a turn.Nice conk on the noggin.tweetybirds and all. Now I know where those guys get those cool ideas for graphics in the old cartoons...Plus the new helmets let you hook up your iPod and listen to cool pre-hendrix surf music .
  21. Is it safe to eat the seafood delights in Portland, Maine this time of year? I was there last winter and the Clam Chowder was to die for.....also many great beers....This trip the wife and in-laws are coming along. See the sights Glad Im not driving a 18' moving van this time towing a brand new suburu..sheesh.That was a headache....Then I couldnt fly out again cause the airport closed.....missed a day on the streams with a great steelhead guide.....but got a kool Redsox hat....
  22. Congratulations.....you are about to enroll in the Relational Course of your Life. Its really important how you proceed from here. Do you react out of a wounded , bitter place. Treat the whole thing as a humorous bump in the road? Or really learn from Life how the Human Heart is Wired..! Be very very careful how you choose to proceed..If you choose to proceed from an unresolved wounding relationship , you may carry baggage that colors your perception of your next attempt to form a healthy integration with another person. Thats why 65% of divorced people wind up getting another divorce....the original wound never got healed properly. If you bitterly keep a critical spirit about the one who hurt you ,its like taking poison and saying to the other person"now die!" you only are hurting yourself..and all other relationships you try to build. There are safeguards and guidelines to how the Universe and the Heart are Wired.Unfortunately we rarely attempt to learn and try them till we hit the wall at mid-life crisis or something else forces us to reevaluate our approach. If you're interested email me your address and Ill send you a great series of cd's from a local pastor who I was fortunately open to after many years of going around in painful and self destructive circles
  23. Whats the recommended donation amount? The price of a DVD ? I need a fix bad.......
  24. THE Prior ATV seems like it would be the best all round ride under those conditions...maximize the fun with stiffy softboot setup
  25. I would part with a Custom WCR I have .It was built for Canadian Team racer Ian Hodgekiss? It has I.H. written under where you place the bindings. Also I took it to get sharpened and the local dingdongs de-laminated the base a little where the two colors of p-tex meet.If interested Ill post a couple photos soon. It has a wicked sidecut (8.5) and is fun but I have nt been riding hardboots in a couple years. I would let it go for $200. a little clamp and glue job and it would be good as new. has a gutsy feel to it. not as soft as a regular 155 WCR but springy.very intuitive
