  1. Thanks LOnerider, thats exactly the comparison I was looking for....sounds like the Madd is the superior board for all round riding and carving.
  2. I'm inviting a polite discourse on the comparitive virtues and / or weaknesses of these boards and any other custom carving softboot boards you care to comment on.....I am using the 155 length as a median .....this is not a test for credit......imagine you are using a set of Catek Freerides with Solomon Malamutes boots: Donek Incline 155....waist 24.10 .......nose.......28.6 MADD FR/FS 155....waist 25.7..........nose.......29.4 Prior AMF 155....waist 24.6.........nose........30.0
  3. How about a retro look with woodgrain stringers like an old Hobie surfboard design.Complete with a cool retro Hobiesque sticker on the tail........theres a sort of neat one at Tattooboards .com Ill look up the number.....Tattooboards.com design #2471 I think.
  4. I am still looking for a good deal on a usable DONEK INCLINE 155..It doesnt have to be brand new and Im not particular about color. mainly just price. I would like to go around $200-$250. tops. Season getting close to the end soon. After our annual St. Patricks day storm we may see spring....Lets hope not...Eastcoaster
  5. And the Intro aint bad neither.....You shouold submit that for the APPLE vs. PC ADS.......carve it up and surf the earth.........yayhoo.......sweet turns.....
  6. Check ebay thjey get discs coming across all the time....
  7. heers some photos.....the lifts are solid blocks of aluminnum machined in Eric's shop to fit on the toepiece and under the heel piece of the respective rear and front binding. Then you can shim up or down with thinner or thicker flat pieces of aluminum....Jack Michaud's articles got me onto these ages ago right after all boards went to symetrical rather than asym regular and goofy.....I really like the simplicity and the way i can comfortably keep my legs relaxed and freecarve all over the place.
  8. Iknew if I hung a stupid reply out there some tech weenie would explain it in minute detail..Thanks wavechaser.........actually the cants and lifts I like with Burton plates ar ethe Eric Beckmann lifts...they are still better than anything Burton ever made .I.M.H.O. :o
  9. For the younger crowd out there.....who may have never seen the wild variety of Burton gear and gimmicks......refer to the other add on FORSALE to see the cant wedges for sale.these discs go witht he rear foot cant to give you the ability to angle binding in an offset rather than straight on setup.I dont actually understand the physics of it ...but it seems to work.......eastcoaster....
  10. For Sale Or Trade Burton 4hole Offset Discs For Rear Foot Canting $5.00 Each Plus $3.50 Shipping Or Trade For A Set Of 3 Or 4 Hole Regular Burton Discs..........

  12. I was out in Bend-Sisters region of Oregon and I didnt stop up to see Bryans museum at HooDoo. I was even hanging out with one of the guys who runs the park. What was I thinking?.....sheesh..such beutiful country......
  13. Man that steams me too......too many posers ......few helmets......sheesh.....
  14. thats the first revue/recommendation Iv eheard for a Madd freeride board.....only a few bucks more than the Donek.....Are they hungup on Michaelangelo or something?.....
  15. Ouch that 20-20 retrovision hurts.......estupido......doh!
  16. I was demoing the Lib Tech Magnetraction which is fun and stable on icey conditions and very cramped small eastern snowparks, but the soft nose is no fun when you tip it up on edge and the nose starrts to get soft and fold up. wimpy ! wet noodle feeling..Im spoiled from alpine boards........
  17. Is the Donek Incline designed for hardbooters, or is it just as turnable in a softboot setup.....say a set of Catek Freerides and some sort of stiff softboots?
  18. how does the Donek Incline perfrom on ice? I tried the magnetraction with softies but folded the nose up a little too much for my liking.the newer ones may be stiffer like the Dark series .but they do carve well....i like the dimensions of the Donek Incline 155 but hesitate to shell out the bucks for something I cant demo?.....(catek freerides and SolomonMalamutes) I really like the looks lof the Surf design on the clear topsheet.....sweet
  19. Couldnt resist posting a couple more..... ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER......JIMI HENDRIX VERSION SOMETIMES I FEEL I GOTTA GETTAWAY....ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMEES BLACK DIAMOND........thr RIPPINGTONS

  21. If ever in Erie PA. head over to the East Side on the Bayfront Parkway Extension and stop in at Trawka's Market for some Sweet Italian Sausage!!!Really Hoomemade flavoring......OO-La-La....Oink....
  22. Yes..I always have people looking and asking about them at my local hill.I will forward the info to at least one interested dude.........
  23. Demoed a Lib Tech Magnetraction last weekend on crappy snow.....Results look promising. I think they really are onto something there. At first I thought it was a gimmick but it allows you to get the same edge grip as a narrow waisted stiff race board, but still enjoy the soft booter relaxed ride. Using Catek Freerides with Malamutes.....The board I demoed was a little soft in the nose but they make a stiffer model I couldnt get called the "dark" series that they tweaked the grain in opposing directions to stiffen it up. One thing for sure Catek Freerides really are worth the dough. Some guy from Pittsburgh stopped to ask about them.If you guys have any laying around you want to sell ..Please post them on the FOR SALE section......dissapointing weather here in Erie, PA. Western NY. Have a Merry Christmas ..hope youre not stuck going to or from Denver..Sheesh... :)
