  1. Does anyone out there have a favorite tuning dvd in mind that really helps you sharpen and tune your board with a good board vise and hand tools.....?
  2. I have a set of small-medium Torques. They must be one of the first releases of the Torque bindings.Black on black..and they only come with a three hole disc that is not the universal 3hole used by Burton today....Its an elongated chamfer pattern..I paid $50. on ebAY for them . whats the best offer? It will probably take about $20. to ship. They are in good shape though.I only have the 3hole discs for this binding.
  3. SURF & BURN....THE BLUE STINGRAYS... BLACK DIAMOND......THE RIPPINGTONS NOMAD & GUITAR NOIR.......THE AQUA VELVETS WALK DON,T RUN............THE VENTURES
  4. WOW, thanks..i was going to their accessories page and they were listed as "out of stock item".....thanks for helping out a real knucklehead...........i cant help it the technology is getting past me.......thanks evryone............eastcoasticerider......now all we need is for the temps to get back to normal...
  5. Check The Site....they Are Out Of Production!!!!!thats Whats Makng Me Crazy!!!!
  6. Do you have any disc sets left?......I'm looking for a set.....thanks.....eastcoasticeskidder
  7. THEY ARE STILL HERE. BUT AS I HAVE ADVISED QUITE A FEW PEOPLE!!!Read my post carefully and look at the photos. These are the first generation Burton Torques back when Burton was trying to dictate which bindings you coulkd use on his boards and which boards you could use with Burton Bindings. They aRE ONLY FUNCTIONAL WITHT HE 3HOLE DISCS I HAVE.Compare photos:These are early versions of the long chamfer on the bottom of the disc rather than a standard size disc....Maybe you can find 4hole somewher but I can only give you the 3hole discs...Other than that they seem like first rate bullet proof 3strap carving bindings....The size syas XS under the toe strap....But you adjust size by lengthening the straps..XS I think means width more than length in this case.(I have very wide feet and my size 10 boots will not fit in these.).......O.K. I did my best to disclaim akll drawbacks..If anyone wants them I was expecting to get around $50. plus probably $20. shipping.........thanx...tom gregg
  8. If it falls through can I get next dibs.I need the 3hole discs and for that price I may as well buy the whole binding and have some rocket sled plates.......
  9. If not I,d like to nail them if they have the discs with the 3hole and 4hole patterns....thanks
  10. I still need a set of 3hole compatible Catek discs for my Freecarves.......Can Anyone come through for me?......write or call or leave some message in that taxicab of absolute reality...
  11. Vaguelyevilguy....That sounds o.k. just so you understand what youre getting into they are probably size small. and the discs are an old style........tom....
  12. I hear the Magnetraction shreds ice like a Zamboni......anybody ride it on east coast hardpack?......
  13. I looked under the toe strap and there was a XS under there...coule they be extra small??? No wonder I couldnt fit my size 10's (28) in there.......Anybody with small peds want-em? their still here............tom
  14. Im pretty sure you adjustthe size on the Torques by adjusting the length of the straps? I could be wrong but I dont think they came in sizes like modern bindings........anybody have two cents here? :o
  15. These are the OldSchool Design Burton Torques with the older type chamfered disc..see the photos..they come with 3hole discs only.I dont know if you could find 4holedisc to fit these. $50.00 plus about $20.00 to ship........Three hole fits Burton configuration only.......
  16. These older Amps I think are "just for fun" boards....I intend to order one and use it with softboots and Catek Freerides......I assune they are soft and slow....not aggressive at all.......If you want fast , watch ebay for cheap factory primes........
  17. Thanks to Derf I got the whole list of measurements and specs on the Amps.... refer to my Freeride Funzies/Amps on Ebay post a few notches down on the list....Derf saw one in a shop in Montreal and emailed me the Burton stats. out of the catalog. I rode the 95 version and it is very very soft.BUt thats why I am approaching the board as a fun freeride with Catek Freerides and softboots. Im looking for a fun board to make small snowparks feel big again like when i first started into the sport. Now when i climb on a 167 burton factory Prime on my hill Im at the bottom in 4 or 5 turns at most. the Amp will support a 225+ weight but not go very fast. If you want to ride hardboots with similar shape and design I recommend a Burton Alp from 97 or up. You will be dissapointed witht he Amp with hard boots...Very noodly. The Alp has a nice wide(waist) ride with plenty of nose for support and powder runs.
  18. The only response I can think of tho that perspective is "TRY IT AND YOU MAY ACTUALLY LIKE IT!" Thats what happened to me when i tried hardboots and plates on a favorite board...It opens up new worlds of edge hold, speed, precision turning......on and on.........
  19. Derf....thanks for all that effort you put into those factoids and such......If I cant score one on ebay cheap enoough maybe I will contact you for the phone number etc, of that store that has one left......I really thhink it would be fun with the Freerides for east coast narrow trails....thanks again..tom :o
  20. I,m just curious....Has anyone upgraded from Boyfreind 5.0 to Husband 1.0 over the Christmas Weekend?.......
  21. Derf, Im sorry but I cant remember any French from highschool...Is that 96 Amp the orange 159 length or the brown 95 156 both were called 160,s by Burton.....thanks...tom
  22. Hey who needs to know how to spell if they work for Polish Printing Co.? I was told I was hired from the shoulders down....(I was also told I could be fired for wasting Beer!) LaBatts Blue
  23. Theres a lot of Burton Amp 160,s going though Ebay from a resort of store out west.....I always liekd the design of the Amp as a crossover board from freeride to carving and got quite a few people started on the Amp that had trouble with the very wide in comparison freeride /freestyle boards......I always thought that neat oldschool design was easier to learn on and a lot more fluid ride......... I think a pair of catek Freerides and an old Amp is perfect fro east coast may be westy too.....How about an Amp style board custom made at Prior,s and a set of Catek Freerides maybe even with a third strap???? The ideal geezer setup........ I went to MountainView in edinboro pa. and the T-bar nearly killed me!!!! you have to really be in shape to ride that thing...yikes.......
  24. THIS IS A MUST READ FOR ALL YOU GUYS GIVING THAT ENGAGEMENT RING TOMORROW: DEAR TECH SUPORT: Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0, and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance.....particularly in the Flowers and Jewelry applications.... which operated flawlessly under the old Boyfriend 5.0 .... In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other programs such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as ..NFL 5.0, MLB 3.0, NBA 4.0, AND GOLFCLUBS 4.1....CONVERSATION 8.0 no longer runs , and HOUSECLEANING 2.6 simply crashes the system entirely...I tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems but to no avail.....what can I do?/ signed Desperate....... TECH SUPPORT REPLY: Dear Desperate....... First keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 is just an entertainment package whereas Husband 1.0 is a whole operating system change. Please enter the command: "http//www.i-thought-you-loved-me.com" and try to upload TEARS 6.2, , AND DON,T FORGET TO INSTALL GUILT 3.0 UPDATE... If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5...But remember!!!! Overuse of the above application could cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1 Beer 6.1 IS A VERY VERY BAD PROGRAM!!! that will also download SNORING LOUDLY BETA VERSION....But whatever you do ..... do not install Mother In Law 1.o as this program runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources..... Also do not attempt to load or reinstall Boyfriend 6.0 program as this is an unsupported application and will totally crash Husband 1.0 In summary , Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory, and cannot learn new applications quickly...You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance....We highly recommend Hot Food 3.0, and Sexy Black Lingerie 7.7 MERRY CHRISTMAS ESPECIALLY TO ALL YOU GUYS TAKING THE BIG STEP FROM BOYFREIND 5.0 TO HUSBAND 1.0........EAST COAST ICE RIDER..55 AND STLL ALIVE
  25. I cant find any three hole compatible catek discs.....If you got some sell them if youre not using them......I think they are the Olympic discs...Freerides come with 4hole only......lets gitter done here.........tom gregg
