  7. I,M not sure , but its awfully stiff and snappy. Its a typical early model Prime.Hardly ridden at all.....It was well taken care of and I assume for how clean and new it looks probably sat in someones closet for a couple years.......Doe sanybody out there hav ethe catalog for that year..i think that looks like the 1995 or 96 model? I hav ethe Brown Amp6 and its a 95.? :p
  8. I posted a couple detail photos to help you see how they attach to the plates..the heel riser directly bolts onto the plate then the heel binder screws into the riser..no drilling .....the toe lift screws into the toe piece....
  9. WHATdo you do with the template? Do most people bring it into a Grasphics program? Like Adobe Illustrator or something? Im in printing (old school) but have access to those programs if I want to try them at work.....Do I just draw/paint over the template on another layer?....Whats the most simple wqay to do that?..........?????
  10. THERES SOME COOL BOARD TOPSHEET DESIGNS AT WWW.TATTOOBOARDS.COM I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE RETRO HOBIE SURFBOARD LOOKING TOPSHEET......OOGA-MOOGA WHITEEYES........ :p :p :p
  11. I know those photos dont really show a lot. But the heel lift attaches with common screws the same size as the Burton screws for the race plate. The toe piece attaches by drilling two small holes in your existing toe piece and then tapping(threading it) then go get the corresponding screw from a nuts and bolt store and attach the toe riser.I prefer stainless steel allen head nuts...You can find them anywhere even Lowes or any chain hardware store. They really enhance the learning process and the "carve" feel.Help get rid of some of the leg burn from freecarving in hard boots. If youre still confused I will try to get some better photos and post them.

  17. Until i hit my late 40.s and a chiropractor diagnosed what a bunch of doctors could not find....2 pinched nerves one in the neck and one in the low back......Both responded to occasional corrections but actually need cortisone shots to stay active........30 plus years of leaning over a light table in the printing industry....

  19. HEY.......before you ditch that older board that you just cant bear the graphics on.....checkout this wild italian site..this guy makes slins you adhere to the board ..the graphics are sometimes stunnning.....they have an oldschool Hobie design........ www.tattooboards.com neat technology also............ :p :p
  20. I may make a pigrimage to the holyshrine of the HOODOOvoodoo like you do so well this fall...eastcoaster is ging west to visit me brudder in Bend , Oregon .I think thats near Sisters right?......anyhow me brudder is the Lutheran Paastor of Shepherd of the Hills, and the address is Sisters.......Has property really gone sky high out there?.....Thos eSims boards are really sweet looking...feed the vision, and surf the earth.......
  21. DOES ANYBODY know what years SIMS was making the snowboards that had the topsheet look of a HOBIE longboard?...I see them evry once in awhile on ebay but have never been able to score one......I guess they are old School? thoughts?
  22. I never said alpine would overtake freestyle......I know people are brainwashed by board manufacturers to believe they need a huge spoonbill at both ends and a waist width that allows them to stand fully sideways....I think Burton and some of the other companys would come back online and make boards that are easier to learn on and are more entry level carve oriented .Most grommets have no idea what alpine riding is.Ive actually had some kids who like my riding ask me if my asym board was "broken" because of the sharkbite at the tail end........the old scholl design is way easier to learn to ride on than having to fight a big wide nose and huge waist through the hardpack.....maybe out west where you get more powder but not here in the east.....
  23. AS soon as people calm down about the pipe fascination and get back to just having fun going down the hill with grace and class.....(like in europe)...I predict we will see a return for the demand of asyms and some of the well designed old scholl entry level alpine boards(Burton Amp).......thats what I strated out on and got many newbies started on...(legendary 3 strap Torque bindings of course) how about a section of the museum dedicate dto bindings?????
  24. Nice thread.....Are many of you camera guys shooting and using the RAW mode much. It seems like thats going to become the industry standardd soon....Adobe and Apple are working together?......
