  1. cfj04, I'm glad that you're happy with your purchase - happy new year, and deep trenches!
  2. Coiler VSR 170 $275 + shipping. Serial # / specs: T170 VSR T 010 MT1 7.5 + 6. The 2nd T is for "tight" which if memory serves, is a 10.5/12.7/11.5 sidecut. 20cm waist. Ideal rider weight about 180lb. Built Jan 2010. I find the sweet spot to be front binding centered, rear binding 1cm back of centered. Standard Coiler inserts, 2x4 centred on 19.5" . It's had a few base grinds but not loss of camber, edges good, plenty of life left.

    Coiler 174 NFCE

Great pickup! I have the first 174 NFCE ever made ("Hey Bruce - how about a cross between a Nirvana and an Angrry 170?" This, before the Nirvana flavors had names... prior to this, they were all what came to be named the Balance). After 5 years of it being my go-to board, I ordered a copy last spring. Still my favorite (the new one... the old one has lost a bit of bite in the nose and is now my favorite early season board ever), out of my not-insignificant quiver.
  4. Welcome back, Fin! The store appears to be back online - can you confirm that it's safe to order?
  5. I'm in if I can manage to avoid business travel that week
  6. Kincos still going strong despite the springtime super-abrasive frozen cord. Just for fun, I took an old pair of gloves that I didn't care about out and literally had them falling apart within a run. I may never wear anything but the Kincos when carving again.
  7. Kinkos Are holding up really well after 30 days on snow. I bought another pair but don't think I'll need 'em anytime soon.
  8. If you want "similar, but different" then a Coiler Nirvana Energy might be the answer. I've got the 174, 20 cm waist, low taper, 12/14 sidecut version, built fairly soft for my 180 pounds and it's the most fun board I've ever ridden. If you were a bit heavier I'd suggest the Donek MK... or see if Sean @ Donek would be able to tune it to your weight. I have a stock MK and it's about as stiff as I'd want at 180#. If you want something longer and faster yet very manageable, the Coiler Monster might be an interesting choice.
  9. If still available, I am interested. mike at tovino dot com
  10. I dunno about lowest achievable, but I'm Track 700 size 25, 62/57, with some Gilmour bias (which would tend to force higher than lowest achievable angles). 19.5" stance width which is right on the middle set of inserts.
  11. The pigskin Kincos look brand new after two days of carving. That's a first for me.
  12. Do what makes you feel like you're in a balanced, athletic stance... ... you might also find this to be a good read: http://www.bomberonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Separate-Zee-Knees.pdf . If you are a "knees together" type of rider, separating them may alleviate some discomfort. FWIW, I probably take the "separate zee knees" thing to an extreme... several people have commented during past SES's LOL!
  13. The MK is the real deal... edge hold (check), grunting noises (yeah). What surprised me is just how intuitive the board felt... I ride mostly Coilers, and felt right at home on the MK from run #1. (I usually need a few runs to get used to another maker's board...). I didn't *have* to ride it like a Madd, but when I did, it was more fun. Mine was an impulse buy upon getting the Black Friday email from Donek... and I'm glad I was impulsive. It is a welcome addition to my mostly-Coiler quiver, and will get as much ride time as each of the Coilers. It definitely reminds me of the original Mad 158 I had for a couple of years, but also a little b it of my Nirvana Energy 174. When I **** up I know I'm not on a metal board, but when my technique is solid, it has every bit as much grip.
  14. The "Free the Powder"gloves held their own on a cold groom er day with assorted ice shards on the snow. They probably won't be up to Bachelor spring frozen cord, b ut that's what the Kinco's are for...
  15. I got some Kinco's this year after talking to ski patrol last spring. That's what most of the Bachelor patrollers use. Also, snagged a pair of these: http://www.freethepowder.com/collections/gloves/products/long-cuff-gloves-factory-seconds. Haven't used them yet. If we ever stop getting dumped upon, I'll let you know how they do.
  16. Good to know, thanks Allee. Is there a particular place where WTFers tend to stay?
  17. Sales pending. EDISWORKING1, I had direct messages on both pairs before I rad your post, so I can't accomodate your offer. I really think it's for the best - you're better off with Large with your 27's.
  18. Trying to decide between NICE, WTF, and SES. Can probably only do 4 days whichever one I go to. How are the roads around Whitefish during winter? I drive a AWD sedan that will have good snow tires, but it's a little under 5" ground clearance, would I be OK driving up?
  19. Will there be a NICE 2017? I'm trying to plan a trip and thought I might do something other than SES this year.
  20. Price drop- $175 per pair shipped to lower48.
  21. You should really be in a large with size 27 boots. The Mediums might work but would probably limit your ability to adjust fore-aft. I recommend you pass on these and look for size large.
  22. No thanks, I'm a non-Intec guy myself. These have been collecting dust since I got enough Sidewinders to mount up my quiver... time to clear some shelf space in the garage.
  23. I've got two pairs of F2 Race Titanium bindings for sale. All cants and hardware included. $195175 per pair shipped anywhere in the Lower 48.
  24. Bruce has my order too :D I'll even spill the beans... 2 copies of my Nirvana Energy 174.
