I think someone trying hardboots for the first time will generally be more comfortable with lower binding angles, so waist width is a factor. Also very narrow boards are more tippy and have that "balance beam" feeling. Well done sir! Haha ok

4 fastest riders of the day! "Beating" Seth Wescott was fun, but really it was fake. My fast run was before the snow started. He didn't go until after the snow, when the course was 2 seconds slower for everyone. But hey, being ready to go is all part of racing, right? I'll take it! lol

Taken yesterday. Man today is HOT. Tomorrow looks like it could be decent though. Temps just below freezing and snow overnight into the morning, possibly changing over in the afternoon. First few runs could be decent carving, then it will bump up.

It wasn't available, so I don't have one. Maybe next season. I hope it allows more flex for SL riding than my non-spring "soft" GS plate does. I see people riding non-spring plates on SL boards in World Cup and I literally do not know how they do it. I tried mine on my F2 Proto SL and could not bend it. Or at least not consistently. One out of maybe ten carves I would hit the g-spot and the board would carve. Otherwise, I hated it. I love it on my GS board though. Seems like about half the world cup field are using spring plates, like Benjamin Karl and Stefan Baumeister to name a few. I like their riding and they are successful. The spring plate I had briefly before I sold it to my athlete was great and I could make it work well. Very powerful, gobs of edge hold, but heavy.

@lonbordintoday looks great and unfortunately could be the last day of carving for a while if not the season. Get up here if you can.
