  1. I was thinking about going but I was curious on the cost. I Have the airfare part sorted into denver but I was curious if somone could give me a rough estimate of the per day cost for the package deal so I can calculte and budget how much I will need. I know the prices are TBA for this years event but can somone give me a ballpark figure? Thanks in advance Mike Christensen
  2. Make sure and use the growler tank before you get on the plane. that should free up a Kilo or two.
  3. Mike Is the old (brown) or the new model? Thx.
  4. I am a bit skeptical of the new hybrids. I had a 1988 Toyota tercel DX 4spd hatchback and consistently got over 40 MPG on the highway and at times over 50 depending on conditions. Granted the car was a POS box car and had the worst brakes imagineable but it did the job. I had a 3 cyl Justy that was similar. I am sure there are many others here with similar stories. 18 years years later and with modern technology and engineering inventions the numbers have not improved for the most part. Just my 2 cents. let the flames begin.
  5. Luckily I am in the queue for this year. Hopefully will get something around Xmas. I am leaning twords 184-186 PR. But not totally sure what to get. I love my AM. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
  6. I am always happy to support the cause and I would like to say I am a very satisfied bomber customer in all aspects. I put in an order for the butter but got a CGI error on checkout. Will have to try again today. I also want to order some new Intecs. Are you still expecting stock in november Fin?
  7. I broke my right ankle. My fault though. I Didnt check to see that my back foot was properly attached as the bale was around the heel rather that over the lip felt good. I own step ins now and have developed a routine when getting off the lift to make sure things are solid.
  8. Oh yea...pat thanks for the link. I was looking for that thing. thats two things now...the sportube rocks!
  9. whats up jerry! jonesing for the snow to fly. getting cold over there yet? I will be over for Xmas. Maybe turkey day if things are good. I think age is catching up with us Jerry. I used to be able to do it no problem anytime, but last year I had problems and couldnt hold it even with better equipment. The days of saying what the f*** and tucking greyhawk are almost over. Later daddy-o
  10. Still debating if I should go to Plasma or DLP? The new DLP sets are looking pretty sweet and the price seems to be coming down. I do like CRT but they seem like they are way heavier than DLP? I hear the pros and cons of DLP vs. Plasma but still cant make up my mind. I Think I have the sound system pretty much sorted out. I have a HK AVR 235 and monitor audio B6 speakers with B1 rears. I am also looking for a new sub. Any suggestions out there? They have a good deal on a 10" klipsch at costco for 199$ not sure if it is any good. Thanks
  11. Jack I actually really enjoyed the movie. I had no idea that it was loosley based on a true story. I guess the first step is to accept the premise of the plot. If you can do that then the movie works. Since I travel to Africa every 6 months or so I spend alot of time in airplanes and airports and can relate. I dont have to imagine how it would be to survive in a terminal with no money since it has happened to me in germany with a 10 hr layover with no cash and locked out/maxxed credit cards. I liked some of the relationships between the various airport workers and It seemed like they must have filmed it in a real airport. I enjoy movies where you actually start to care about the charecters I agree that the plot could have been much better. just my 2 cents worth PS I am enjoying the El Tesoro anejo over the chamucos. Thanks for the reccomendations.
  12. Too f'ing funny I could only manage 85m need to drink more tequila! Jack/Bob you have to share the website URL for the low price chamucos I cant find it locally for a decent price. Please let me know where I can get tesoro for 33$ thanks
  13. kent I assume that josh did not want it? was I not number two if he didnt? I sent you an email recently (+- 3weeks ago) to BOL account. I suspect you are not using it based on your post. The damage does not look too too bad certainly can be epoxied. I am heavy at 210 lbs and ride hard but I am not much of an equipment breaker. I will take it if its still available thanks Mike
  14. I will defenitely have to try out "El Tesoro" If I can find it.
  15. Just got a copy today and I was blown away by some of the photos. Makes me proud to know there are others out there that share my passion and stoke for such a cool sport.
  16. Jack reposado translates as "rested" and anejo translates as "aged" typically anejo and reposed are similar as they are both aged in wooden tanks or barrels. To be considered reposado I think it has to age for at least two months. I think Anejo's is anything aged over 1 year. Blanco is no aging at all. It is amazing to see how many choices there are on the market varying in price and age. You have have double and tripple distiled etc etc. I have tried a few and prefer the less smoky and smoother varieties with 100% blue agave. My favorites that I have tried are "corallejo, reposado" "Sauza, tres generaciones" anejo and Heradura reposado I used to live in jalisco and guanajuato mexico for 5 years and it was alot cheaper to get the stuff there than it is here.
  17. was it this place by any chance? http://www.backcountrybrewery.com/
  18. I have a strong like for sierra nevada bigfoot barleywine. Dont know too much about homebrew tho.
  19. Kent I will take it if josh does not want it. Jerry please send a shout out to josh as well.
  20. Hi guys I bought a 46" fiberglass long board and I am still trying to figure out how to dial it in. It has exkate torsion trucks and krptonics 78a wheels. I am having problems finding the right setup in the trucks. If I loosen them it seems fine until you get moving fast then the board feels really squirely. If I tighten them up it its not as fun when doing low speed turns. Are these trucks any good? I really didnt research this too much before buying. Is it just a matter of tightening and loosening the trucks and find the right balance? Also do you guys now of any good hills or places to ride in the NJ/NY metro area that are relatively steep and car free? Thanks in advance Mike
  21. What, you keeping an eye out for one for me too?:) I missed you last time in Sun Valley. I was amazed at the lack of carvers. I think I saw a total of one in five days.
  22. That movie rocks! along with dogtown and z boys and step into liquid. The last wave that laird tows into in riding giants is just plain sick

  24. Lathe of heaven is available on netflix and I put it in my queue as well as "bottle rocket" and "fast cheap and out of control" and "Napolean Dynamite" Being a 3rd generation eastern Idahoan hopefully I will enjoy it. Still trying to figure out what the title was for the monster on the island flick. I agree with many of the selections on both A and B list As far as classic movies two of my favorites are "being there" and repo man. I also really liked "American Beauty" In TV land I am just getting into "Deadwood" And the first season of 24. I also really enjoyed the office" 1st season is better than the second. Has anyone seen bad education? if you are a gael garcia fan.
  25. Dsub Sorry to hear about that. I guess times are a changing in Bend. I never ever used to lock my doors there. Tweeker from Lapine or Methford? I am still not totally convinced that you are being serious about your april 1st post
