  1. Welcome to BOL, There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum that will be happy to help you out. If you are looking for carving gear and advice, you've come to the right place. Mick
  2. Was that last Tuesday? My wife and I saw another hardbooter riding that day. We were at the ORI outdoor demo riding Coilers.
  3. I wish that I could post a video of my favorite bands, ( My Life With The Thrill Kill Cult, Lords of Acid) but these are not PG rated bands.
  4. Just saw this poll, and hit 60 last April 2012, also like patmoore I'm going carving/surfing today, and a whole bunch of tomorrows.
  5. You are right on the mark Sean. If you are not a jibbernaut the Snowboard Industry doesn't care about or want to hear from you.

    Pow Mow

What a great day today was, a little chopped up, but we were still able to ride the Powder Weapons, Swallowtails, and have a fun day. Tomorrow should be great for the carving, ginsu knives riding, trenching day. Hope to see and meet all of the Pow Mow carvers this year. mick
  7. 12" again last night, time to bring the Powder Weapons to the mountain today. Yahoo, Swallowtail time!
  8. P.M. got 12" last night, so I could care less right now about The Summit Group.
  9. Good to hear you got your boots sorted out, and that you were out riding today. Keep at it, it just takes a little bit to get your boots broken in. And like Buell says you will be tired. Welcome to trenching.
  10. U.P. Just a thought, I have a 163 Rossi Slayer that I could let you try out if you are interested. Also good score on the F2 bindings. They are great bindings compared to the dinosaur set that came with the board you bought. My wife and I ride at P.M. with Buell and Rebecca sometimes, so I could bring the board along if you'd like.
  11. I would definately call YYZCanuck and talk to Dave or Andrea, very helpful and knowledgeable about these sort of things. I assume they will fit since they are both F2, but they will know a lot more about this. I thought that I had a pair of boots that might fit while you are waiting for your replacements, but after looking saw they are size 26,26.5 Raichles. Let me know when everything gets sorted out and I can meet you at Snowbasin on one of your days off.
  12. I agree with sld12dy about Jeff Pollock. He is one of the nicest people you will meet, and he is a carving master.
  13. U.P. I have had good luck having my boots fitted and modified at Alpine Sports just off of Harrison blvd., at 1165 Patterson. Nice people and good service. Mick
  14. Welcome Unicorn Poop, There are a couple of great resorts just up Ogden canyon to ride. Snowbasin and Powder Mountain are really fun to ride, I don't know much about Wolf Mountain though. I ride during the week at Snowbasin and weekends at Powder Mountain. PowMow is a little mellower as far as steepness goes, but there is tons of terrain especially backcountry powder riding. The 'basin has some steep terrain that definately up's the learning curve of hardboot carving. I have improved noticably from riding the steeps at 'basin. Bottom line is that they are both fun mountains to ride at. If you are new to Utah maybe we can meet up to ride if you'd like. Mick
  15. Mark,

How is the riding at the beav'?

  16. Tried to log onto the story twice, computer froze up both times, had to reboot both times. ???
  17. Nice pictures, thanks for posting Michelle.
  18. PowMow is opening Hidden Lake chair and Sunrise rope tow tomorrow, should be a Powderlicious day!
  19. Just got the PM powder alert, 12" and more to come this afternoon and night. Yippee.
  20. Rode Sat. 15th and Sun. 16th , pretty fun conditions 5" Sat and 4" and snowing Sun. The wind from Sat. blew in alot of stuff and made riding the next day even better, plus snowing all day added even more fun. Timberline is open with talk of Hidden Lakes opening soon depending on this storm cycle.
  21. Went riding at PowMow Sunday Dec. 9th. Sundown was the only lift open, 6" and had a blast doing laps. Not a whole lot of people either. They are opening Timberline lift Friday Dec. 14th. Pray for snow and when it comes we'll be able to ride the whole mountain. We'll be there to do more laps at Timberline and check overall conditions. Mick
