So I troll through Craigslist in search of alpine equipment using Craiglook and other tools. I thought I should post the ones I'm not interested in to BOL as I'm doing these searches already. An unforeseen circumstance has arisen. :o Here's how it plays out. I post an ad I find on Craigslist to BOL. The Craigslist seller is swamped with emails. The seller either deletes the Craigslist ad and puts the item on fleabay for much more $$ or post a new Craigslist ad for 2x what they were asking or posts it on BOL for 2x what they were asking on Craigslist or someone buys it to flip it for profit. :( I was hoping to widen the opportunities for BOL buyers not drive the prices up! So I'm stopping. Merry Carving.

In a former life I worked for a Surf/Skate/Snow shop as a buyer... which gave up more and more floor space to shirts/clothes/swimwear due to the economic reality that hard goods are a real economic pair of cement boots... Just think of all that money just leaning against the walls and not moving. Core shops are a struggle to stay afloat much less turn a profit.

I bought some standards for a good price and I will convert them to step ins this season. I've ridden a lot of snowboards over the years and I can't say I've ever been on a board that I would consider "stiff" and I think this has to do with our size. We are so far outside of the bell shaped curve... I do have boards that other consider stiff but I wouldn't call them that. I would like to try a super stiff board just so I know how that feels... I hope to someday make an expression session.
