  1. Hey Yam, I guess it could be a little more tedious on Mondo 26, but I'm on Mondo 28 and it's pretty straight forward...........to change/adjust angles just make sure you mark where your toe/heel blocks are so as to not start all over on boot position when you reset the blocks Really, once you get it dialed in it's one and done - just run it!
  2. No fears..............I'm not totally gone to the dark side ( I'll still ride my hardboot setups on my time on the weekend)........but part of my job has me on the mountain most afternoons M-F under a time constraint and time to put on hardboots and or drive with hardbootsis even the short 5 minutes to the mtn. is a problem. So I bought a set of power plates and am looking for suggestions from soft boot riders who carve on what boots and bindings I need for all Mtn. riding and carving. I'm looking for a high performance easy access, easy to tighten rear entry bindings and I assume I would use a stiff Softboot What do the masters say???
  3. Cool!!! If I wasn't so addicted to my TD3 SW Step In's I put a softboot/binding combo on my Swoard Dual to see the difference myself..........
  4. Jim, Did you ever do a review of the Swoard Dual? I remember you mentioning it was in the works. Loving mine but always looking for others impressions and insight.
  5. Hey QQ, Not quite sure what you mean by "Gaiter" on Hestra Trigger Mitt Are you talking about just a longer cuff that you can drawstring tight?? Post a photo-
  6. Well I'm happy enough with my Thor gloves but the insulation got really compressed just after a season (50+ days) and lost most of it's warmth in my opinion..........but Cali isn't cold enough to worry about the warmth factor.....they still look new on the outside I think I'll try the ski specific Kinco 900max next. Anybody here tried them?? Do they run small?? I like the looks and idea of the black Nikwax treated leather and a built in rubber goggle squeegee ........all for $36 http://www.gemplers.com/product/225757-XL/kinco-cold-weather-pigskin-gloves-carabiner?gclid=CJfHkp_h_M8CFQt3fgod_dsOcg&CID=25SEPLA&s_kwcid=AL!3210!3!67862977945!!!g!62710661138!&ef_id=WAgb1QAABaEozRKT:20161028052452:s http://www.kinco.com/product/900max/
  7. Did this go down last year? What was the cost and how many cat rides/runs did ya get? Any other opinions/impressions appreciated. Jim is this on the schedule for 2017 ATC??
  8. Hey Ace Is Portillo all above tree line skiing on a big galcier.......like Europe??
  9. Well...... cardiologist is booked up until end of June!! I'm on the cancellation list......... Maybe it's psychosomatic but now 4th day off the Losartan and my BP has dropped every day...... last Sunday it was 190/113, today it is150/99 AND I have lost 3lbs!
  10. I've always ridden the standard "Semi Thermofit Heel" liner that came with my Track 700's.......which I like allot. See photo - Going to try a real Thermo Liner - You guys riding them, what do you see as the difference between the 131 and 141 One better than the other for us Clydesdales?
  11. Ha1 - ATC! Of course - I was thinking it was some medical procedure you had done!
  12. Doc says I'm a Mutant - Cardiac CT scan of "7" , Stage 2 Hypertension #"s and resting heart rate of 48 on 3 different classes of BP meds that have had drastous effects..........never drank, smoked and exercise 7 days a week Doc is ending me to see a Cardiologist-------
  13. Corey....what is "since ATC with a similar routine"??
  14. All good points guys. I off to the Doc Tues. to see what I can change. I do think these meds are killing me!
  15. New Update as of May15! According to weatherunderground forecast, projected overnight lows for this coming weekend Will Be Below Freezing (high 20's) for town of Mammoth at 8000ft ...........and with highs only in the 50's could mean.......... GAME ON!!!
  16. Evan Beautiful board ~ I'm riding Swoard currently but I'm a huge Virus Fan. Is this a custom from Frank or just off the shelf??
  17. Hey SS - Yeah, I saw that in the data sheet as well....but I polled my biking forum on bikeforum.org and 9 out of 10 responses on the same med had unwanted weight gain....which got me on this train of thinking. Additionally to pick your Med experience - I had a cardiac heart scan/CT Scan and scored a 7 ! A score of 7 says I have less than a 10% chance of any heart related disease the next 5 years! Cardiologists here don't even start worring about heart diease until the score is over 400! So with high BP, low heart rate and a CT score of 7 do I even have to be on a Hypertension med?? Also I just ran out of the Losartan today/Sundayand I see my Doc this Tuesday.............you see any problem just stoping taking it?
  18. Opps ------- Guess it should go in "Off Topic" Don't think I can move it. Admin, some help here please.
  19. I'm 59.......ride 100-300 miles a week on my road bike and have been on Losartan for a year now after trying two other meds that robbed my performance badly. I youst to ride allot of centuries before all these meds. Since the Losartan I'm still a little slower but the bigger problem is I have gained 20 uncomfortable lbs. that I can't shake even with all the miles. Have any of you guys on BP meds had an unwanted weight gain?? What BP meds are you guys on and any side effects you noticed??
  20. I Am Not Done With Winter! .....but my options are norrowing fast!! What's lift resorts are left open and their closing dates?? CA - Mammoth, Squaw - probably done Memorial Weekend CO? Utah? Canada?
  21. Hey Bryan Are you saying Track 700 is too soft a boot/shell for red springs??? Good point about changing out BTS to much - pin failure!
  22. I agree with Dr. S! So what IS the difference between Asym and Sym. boots anyway ????
  23. Was up today when the lifts opened. Runs had been groomed but it hadn't been below freezing all week so it never set up. Tried do some hard charging with my Swoard Dual but it was to soft to lay it over even on the 1st run for me.......... so I switched out to the Moss snowstick and had a blast busting through the mush....the Moss busts through it just like it's bumped up pow. It was all bumped up slush by 10:30am I had to stop twice to add coats of flourinated jet wax when I started sticking. Still top to bottom conditions but lots of wind blown brown snow where they didn't groom....and todays grooming effort was fewer trails than last week I was done by 11:30 and glad I went, but doubt I'll go back next weekend unless it gets allot cooler overnight this coming week :(
  24. Does anybody know if there is going to be any significant changes in the design of the 2017 Track 700 - as compared to this years model? Anybody seen 2017 color??
