  1. You want it - I got it - Bump
  2. Great info and conversation guys! From your suggestions I'm gonna back way off and re-start with 35/25 angles and work down as needed. Am I reading this right, that the short stance tuck knee position...... is considered a relic and bad style?? Explain please.......
  3. Thanks for all the info guys! I have tried the new setup for two days (without the Bomber Plates) and have made adjustments to angles and stance width and it's still a lot of work to get down the hill feeling in control. I gonna wait for the Bomber Plates with 3/3 disks to arrive before I give it another go. Like you guys say, it's individual and there's no norm to what works and is comfortable. I'm a mutant that has a blast with TD3 SW at 65/60 with 3/6 lift on my pow or carving boards.....because that works for me and is comfortable. I am going to try 3/3 lift on the Pow board this season
  4. Hey Eric.....thanks for the offer but I'll pass. I have demoed the Moss Swallow 62 and like that ride.
  5. This board is great for All Mountain riding and really great for the pow! This is this years 2016-2017 model and retails for $830 and I got it late in the season last year......maybe 15 outings total, majority of those are pow riding at night up at Boreal for a couple of hours after work. Top Sheet 1-10 this board is a 8.5 Base is a solid 9 also. It's waxed and tuned and ready to go. Check out the specs - http://www.mosssnowstick.com/product-2016-2017/u5 Reason to sell - Now I need to pay for a new Moss Performance Quad 60
  6. Ok...I'm hearing 30-45 degrees as the norm. I assume the addition of using Bomber Plates doesn't effect that norm?
  7. You softboot carvers running the same angles as on your hardboot setup? ...........or is it just expected to have to run lower angles??
  8. I'm a big fan of Gilmour Bias in the hardboot/binding interface, offsetting front boot center point behind binding center (towards heel) and rear boot center mark forward of binding center ( towards toe) ........which for me when applied to hardboots made a huge difference in body weight transfer in and out of turns .....anybody tried this with their sofboot /binding setup??? I guess it could possibly increase bootout problems, but I'm running steep enough angles with my softboot setup it's not a problem for me.
  9. Hey H2, Yeah... my thinking is more in line with your setup. With Power Plates I'm going to try 0 front and 3 rear. I'll still have my 6 degree disk if needed. Boots and bindings show up Friday.......but Jim says it will be end of Dec. before I see the Power Plates :( We will see how it all works out
  10. Got it! - "Use toe caps and top spacers" .......... will do Thanks!
  11. So what degree lift you guys running with you POW setups? Anybody running TD3's on their Pow board?? I set up my Moss Snowstick with TD3 SW SI at 3 and 6 (because that's what I had) and I had a great time last year in the Pow.....but thinking about it now it seem ridiculously too much. Maybe lift on TD's doesn't correlate to lift with Power plates.......you guys tell me. What's the norm, ,...if there is one??
  12. The sales dude said my shoe size measured 11.5. I went with size 10 and no heel lift.....in their footbeds They also aid the liners are moldable....you guys done that??
  13. Thanks Erazz I'm on the way to try a few pairs on.
  14. Alright.....I'm about to pull the $400 trigger on a 2017 pair and have some questions for you guys running them I wear street shoe size 11.5 but ride modo 28.5 in Track 700's comfortably Do I need to downsize the Burtons for a performance fit like in hardboots? Any other suggestions or concerns with Driver X ownership??
  15. Thanks Guys...............I'm going to start with size Large boots first and we will see how that works and fits in the Flow NX2-GT'S
  16. Slopestar......are you saying the "strap and ratchets are far more cushioned"...... for 2017 ??
  17. Hey Sandy Thanks for the info and photos. Just to be clear...swapping the "highbacks" as you guys mention...is just the padded back of the binding - correct? As you have both 2016 and 2017 NX2-GT binding - do you think the 2017 model with "strap with completely new material" is worth the the $399 or go for the 2016 model in XL for $247??
  18. NX2-GT FUSION SNOWBOARD BINDINGS 2017 This is the binding were talking about - Correct NX2-GT Standard?? The cheapest for 2017 models I've found is $399 I have found last years for $247 What are the upgrades for 2017 and are they worth an additional $150 ?? I wear a 11.5 street shoe....... but run tight but comfortable Modo 28.5 in my Track 700's - should that transfer fairly true for softboots Looking at the Flow sizing chart, anything above 26.5 says buy an XL binding - you guys agree??
  19. Acoustic B and Ace - All those options look very interesting - I look forward to seing an update when you put them to the test
  20. Can you guys clarify the details in "rotating high backs and braking base plates"
  21. Hmmm.............................what's the price on the Hexarmor Arctic and Hercules model??
  22. Checked out the Flow NX2-GT's. They say they have an aluminum base, but that's hard to see. They seem solid enough and the high back Really opens up for real rear entry. I'm so spoiled with my TD3's SW Step In's I'm worried about the time to bend over to flip the highback up and then flip the lever up on the highback.........but I've committed to 2 pair of Power Plates to see how this softboot setup will carve and ride on my Pow setup. You guys were mentioning that the Flow Highback supports should be swapped opposite what they come?? Is that correct??
  23. Happy Turkey Day Everyone Hey Slopestar, those are some nice softboot turns on the video! On my carving setup I'm running 3 front lift on toe and 6 Rear lift heel on my TD3 SW SI and thinking I'd run 3/3 on the Power plates for carving. Last winter i was using TD3 SW with a 3F and 6R lift on my Pow board/Moss Snowstick U5.(only because that's what I knew worked on my Carving setup).and that worked just fine......but thinking about these Power plates I think a 3/3 or 0/0 or even a 0/3 would probably provide me a performance boost
  24. Slopestar As you know the Power Plates are ordered with 0, 3 or 6 degree cant plates.....are you saying you use 3 degree cant plates on both feet? If your running TD's whats your canting on your hardboot setup?
  25. Slopestar what degree cants are you riding on your power plate setup? Is this your hard charging and carving setup? What power plate cants do you use for Pow?
