  1. A skaters stop will spay like a fire hose have fun!
  2. What conditions would i expect to find for carving easter at Marmont ??
  3. Sorry about your spill! had similar occurance last March front toe bale opened for reasons unknown went for a helecopter fall, hip knee and ankle fully wound up ankle was ok by Sept. Latch down toe bale with a tether strap now. Thanks for the snow report local hills getting desperate considering a trip.
  4. How does it look for spring skiing ? Predict season over when??
  5. No wax for moths but i'm worried those hard shell june bugs will do a number on the edges.:lol:
  6. On my way outside tonite a June bug is flapping around at the back door. Time to grease up the edges of the snowboard fleet and put away the groomer. Hows the snow elsewhere?
  7. Was boarding to other nite and large moths you know flying insects were dropping out of the sky around the spot lites onto the snow as i was boarding around have never seen them when snow was on the ground.I though it rather strange untill i came across a bunch of kids beating on snowboard in the park. I offered to buy it from them to make a plate out of but unfortunatly they put a pick through the middle of it. Kid was pissed when he realized he could have mitigated his loss with a sale to me. The two events were rather surreal.
  8. Helps protect the nose if you stuff it.Looks cool too especially if it has a big COILER sticker on it .
  9. Clearly no one believes me thats ok! kids were hacking up snowboards with pic axe's too. If i had to ride 300 ft hill my whole life i would too i guess there was more than moths in the air.
  10. Ever go carving at nite under the lights and have moths drop down from above (no booze or drugs involved) -3 c march 9th. Guess the season is almost over.
  11. 5 days in and 10 pages of input wow! any chance of speeding this along an moving on to the new "Plate Forum" for hard booters only.
  12. I think i recall making a statement similar to that a few weeks ago. I think it went "a plate will make any board better " provided it's the right kind of plate. anybody got any old or broken boards?
  13. Difference between a soft plate and stiff plate is much like the difference between a plate and no plate. While a stiff plate gives a more resistive stance a soft plate allows you to stand a little more relaxed but with the same control as stiff. Plates are going to change the way boards are made. I can see it comming down to a combination of board design , plate design and hardware interface, hinge, slide whatever. It would be nice if we could agree to some standard for mounting hardware ie; insert pattern so all can participate and interchange components as we can with binding.
  14. If you can live with the little reminder of your bad day (read; stupidity) And it doesn't affect performance just make sure it is sealed off against moisture (epoxy) and ride on.One of the kids team coaches had his Coiler do a lap down the hill without him it hit a support pillar of the chalet at about 50 KM hr. A friend epoxied it up almost as good as new except for some metal edge that got burried and couldnt quite get put back into perfect shape.Congrats on the new coiler it is now personalized.
  15. You can Graduate in civil engineering and never take a module on concrete. You can get a degree in mechanical engineering and never know how the difference between brazing and mig welding. You better get pretty specific about what field you are interested in before the train leaves the station.I once demoed a hydraulic water pumping set up to a bunch of mechanical engineers and after explaining the water hammer principal and fall to lift ratios one piped up and asked where the motor was. Engineering ???? ok! bola your turn with the speak up on failed engineers. Which by the way i don't buy. Society and universities graduate engineers but if you aren't one to start with you never will be. Have fun!!
  16. Just do it already so my bruised ass doesn't have to keep going through these posts. Then i can just ignore the knuckle-draggers!
  17. Tailgate after MSLM races or patio. Do they serve adult beverages at MSLM ?:D
  18. Sorry Jack i found my "test dummy" oops i mean huckleberry stay tuned for results " Hardware is ready" Just waiting for board to arrive.Chop saw and drill press standing by. Hoping the snow stays around long enough to get results if not might have to resort to Australian testing. The offers for plates is now on hold pending test results.
  19. The bruise on my backside is no longer visable by my feeling for knuckle- draggers (you know the kind) remains. Your call, sometimes it sucks to be in charge, damned if you do damned if you don't. Let it start :AR15firin
  20. Any chance of a report from ECES. What did Bruce bring to play with?? Has any one tried one sidewinder on front foot?
  21. Almost sounds like a challange. Watch out !
  22. Your origonal question still ski ? Only till the bruising goes down then back on the board for more.
  23. My guess abuot 33,000$ but which one is gold. A couple of little girls are probably going to be using it as a teeter totter soon. Good job JJA
  24. My guess about 33.000$$$ but the question is which board is gold?
  25. Someone could get in trouble for letting that one out!
