  1. Using cork under prototype plate hardware to prevent scuffing on board. So far works to prevent marks but you have to check screws for compaction of gasket.
  2. Automotive gasket material available in many thicknesses and material. Have used cork based material. Easy to work with, silicone cork composite very flexible make sure you place it with printing up as colour will bleed if placed against board. Does not scratch or leave marks on board!
  3. Booked for weekend. New hill new adventures!
  4. Package not good for Easter. Having never been there before its tough to get an idea what is a good deal. Thanks for your input.
  5. How are conditions at Mt St Anne?
  6. Recomend place to stay Easter weekend on or close to hill.
  7. Has your season been similar to lower BC manland (nelson area) ? Carpet carving and making plates for all my boards will nave to do till next year.Local hill isn't run by skiers so they like to close as soon as they can. Would be nice if they would compete with other hills for longest season Maybe put down more than 1 foot of snow on at least one run for die hards.
  8. If people embrace the idea to try a plate the results will be enjoyable. The trend from longer 180 + boards to boards around 160 may slow as people haul out their favorite "long board" and discover a new beast that has been unleashed with the use of a plate. The flat spot under your feet has prevented the board from carving it's true src unless its loaded. A plate will free that loaded area allowing more flex .
  9. I can see it comming. Two lines. (1) How much did you earn. (2) Send a cheque for amount in line (1)
  10. If i crash using my new plate (Homemade) i get patched up and i'm good to go! In the US i Crash i go broke Fin wins the race ! Canadian system good for me American system good for Fin. Weird eh?
  11. Thanks for the late nite open house. I always knew that if you snooze you loose on BOL. Does Bruce ever sleep???
  12. Applies to Canada and US. If we have such great Govt's why don't we have the best of both systems ???
  13. Do the Sidewinders ride anything like the old Emery bindings with the linear ridge under heel and toe and plastic cushion that allows the boot to rock sideways ???
  14. No working on an affordable one.
  15. Think they would tool up for plates???:lol:
  16. Spent all yesterday on the slush, last day at local hill. The plate made it possible, without it my legs would not take the pounding. Unfortunatly convincing others to try one is a hard sell I may recoup my R&D costs but i don't think the average rider is daring enough to try a plate let alone spend money on one. Time will tell.
  17. Was going out to drive daughter back from school. Wife now going. :smashfrea:smashfrea
  18. If you can afford it the ride is truly worth it even for weekend warriors. Presently the apex will not fit 4x4 bolt pattern but i understand mods are on the way. With the season winding down next season should bring large change to carving as we know it today. Your old front leg doesn't have to take a pounding every time out. These plates really mellow out shock!
  19. Do you notice or feel flex in your boots between heel and toe ?? Do you think independent flex between these two points could create issues with boot failure??
  20. Do you guys really think the Hangl or F2 are anything like the Apex plate????? In ride feel or performance ???
  21. Excellent idea but you may have to explain it a few more times for the engineers to understand it. The longer bale bolts give more meat for the heel reciever bolts. The ones comming in from the top. Good tinkering :biggthump:biggthump:biggthump:biggthump
  22. Sliding not so bad the sudden stop sucks. Keep your seat belt tight Hitting that wiper motor above your head hurts.
