  1. I was given a pair of these by a friend who did not like them. I don't think he realized they were heat moldable. Once molded, they are great. I have been using the same pair in my alpine boots for 3 seasons now, and I use the same pair in the summer, in my skate shoes too. They look as though they will last quite a while longer too. My $300 custom footbeds never last more than a couple years by comparison. I will be buying this brand again when these wear out.
  2. I had a blast last year. I'll be there for sure. :) Tony Boros
  3. Hi Eric, Welcome to the forum. Send me an e-mail if you are still interested in a Tanker 200. I have one for sale. E-mail me at: info (at) websight360.com
  4. This looks like it could be considerably lighter than existing plate systems. I'm impressed. I would love to see if it could withstand the stresses that Bomber bindings and large riders would impose on it.
  5. Size 11. Molded once, but never ridden in my Burton Winds. Realized they would not work in these boots for me. I paid over $100 incl taxes. Asking $50 plus shipping. I can be contacted at: info (at) websight360.com
  6. I just turned on my e-mail in my bomber account. You can also reach me at: info (at) websight360.com. A condo sounds great! Talk to you soon.
  7. I will be driving from London, Ontario. I still am not sure how many days I will attend. So far, I am planning on driving up monday, and staying until early friday afternoon, and then drive back. I'll be looking to share accomodations too. Anyone from southwestern ontario need a ride?
  8. I'm looking forward to adding one of those to my quiver soon. I got your axle extensions, but I have not had a chance to try them yet. By the way, your new trucks look really nice too. :D
  9. Has anyone ridden this board? Any thoughts or opinions?
  10. It's been a week since the last post of this problem. I still cannot see any attached images on the forum. What's up with this? I tried viewing it with IE and Google Chrome. No pics showing up. :(
  11. What size are they? e-mail sent.
  12. I can't wait till Sunday, Skategoat, sorry. I'll be there on Friday. I'm leaving London at 5 am, so I can be there for 9. Anybody else going friday?
  13. I have the Large S10 Original Trucks on my Surfrodz 60" Freeride deck. These trucks are definately different in how they feel. They are worth checking out. I have the heavy white springs in mine, and they feel really nice. My only complaint about them, is that they require regular cleaning and relubricating as they tend to get gummed up with road grit and grime and dirt. I just have to convince my wife that I need several different decks, so that I don't have to spend as much time on cleaning and maintenance each day on the two decks that I currently have. :D My next deck is going to be a Roe Racing Mermaid - LDP (Long Distance Pumping) deck. I would also like to add a SurfRodz Thresher, and perhaps an Original complete, or a Bustin Cigar this summer. I know, it's a sickness, but I always feel better when I get a new longboard
  14. I love the Loaded Dervish I got last season. I rode it almost every day for at least an hour or two on our local bike paths and in and around my neighborhood. I also bought a Surfrodz 60" free-ride, and I like it too. It makes the summer months easier to endure. I use the Randal trucks on the Dervish. I suggest you buy lots of bushings of varying degrees of hardness, and mix them up and try out different combinations. It can really change the way a longboard feels and rides. They are relatively cheap, so you can keep experimenting until you find the best set-up for your weight and riding style. My personal favorite for wheels are the 75mm Avilas (the soft red ones). These have the widest contact patch of any wheel out there, and are wicked for carving. Carve, carve, carve, all summer long! :D I can now feed my carving addiction all year round...
  15. Hey BobD, What can I say? The food was so good we ate there twice in 4 days. First time in SLC for me. I'll be back just for the mexican food. There are not that many authentic mexican joints here in Southwestern Ontario...
  16. I was in SLC in December, and learned later in the week that if you arrive in the morning in SLC, and head up to the local hills, they will give you a free lift ticket for the same day of your arrival. All you have to do is show them your airline boarding pass from earlier that day. I could have saved myself about 40+ dollars. Also, if you like mexican food, you HAVE to go to the RED IGUANA. Amazing authentic Mexican food, and CHEAP! It's right near the downtown area. Getting back on topic, I really enjoyed Solitude. Had my best day there on my trip.
  17. Hi Andrea, Count me in for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I do plan on driving back home afterwards on Monday however. Tony B. Looking forward to this one! :D
  18. I have been wondering how I could outfit my existing helmet with high quality headphones, and was looking for a DIY solution. Thanks for sharing. Epoxying the earpiece into the helmet is a great idea!
  19. I use the ones that loosely fit in your ear. I DON"T use the ones that completely seal off all outside noise, and listen at a volume at which I can carry on a conversation, and hear other traffic. Use it responsibly. Just my two cents worth...
  20. Mine are forward on my Tanker 200. It just feels right in that position...
  21. Back in 1988 I learned to snowboard at Lake Louise in soft boots. When doing long traverses on the backside of Louise, I would be in total agony in my soft set-up. I found that in order to ride, I had to really tighten down my straps on my bindings. I have flat feet, and this was very painful. The following year I bought my first hard boots. They were Kastinger mountaineering boots. The pain was gone, and I was hooked on riding in a hard set-up. I have heard others complain about the pain associated with riding in conventional snowboard boots and bindings. If you have flat feet like I do, the pain can ruin the experience. Not everybody has perfect feet...
