  1. I'll be at Spirit tomorrow... aiming to be there when it opens, but it never quite works out. Probably 10 am or so. -Ben
  2. Me too. Or maybe I'll just take a really long "lunch" to get in a few runs.
  3. Thanks. I did get a bit of input on silverfish, and it sounds like the choice of equipment doesn't matter so much at first. Although I am curious about trucks, as it sounds like they may be more important than the board in determining the overall feel. What do you have on your Vanguard?
  4. We're in a winter storm warning for tomorrow! Maybe we'll have a few more weekends of snow, but things are winding down. I'm planning ahead and hoping to come up with some way to replicate carving in the summer months. Does anybody have pointers for getting into longboarding? Insect boards catch my attention, but I've heard Loaded boards capture the snowboarding feel a bit more. Is there any truth to this? For a beginning longboarder, does it matter much where I start? Even the smallest piece of advice is appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Do they even sell complete setups on their site right now? I'm thinking about giving it a shot, but I don't know the first thing about trucks and wheels other than our chat this morning.
  6. Yeah. Without a doubt that was the best part.
  7. Apparently we are all killing a poor little kid from Apple Valley. He commented on my video from Saturday "EPICsnowskateteam: a little piece of me dies on the inside everytime i see this. an ABSOLUTE pathetic example to the world of snowboarding. go home and cry about how your washed up and cant do tricks so u resort to gay carving sh!t"
  8. I uploaded some from today at Buck.
  9. I'll probably be at Spirit. They have a deal right now for 2009-2010 passes. You can use it for the rest of this year starting tomorrow, and it's $155 or so with taxes/fees if you've either never had a pass there or haven't had one since 5 years ago.
  10. I was at Buck for a few runs tonight just to check out the conditions. It was challenging keeping the nose afloat while attempting to make tighter turns to manage speed. Russ, it was nice running into you at Spirit on Sunday, if only for a minute. I ended up spending most of the day on Gandy Dancer and Bull Wacker, and rode until my legs gave up. Can you by any chance provide an update on conditions? I'll be up on Saturday and I hope it is alright.
  11. Does anybody in the area have a 6-degree TD2 disk I could buy/borrow? My WTB post has so far been unsuccessful, and Bomber is out of these until next year. ...sorry for the unrelated nature. But I know everybody reads this thread!
  12. I'm looking for a TD2/TD3 6-degree cant disk.
  13. And thanks Karl and all the G-Team for being patient with those of us who occasionally get confused and can't seem to remember you go around the gates and not directly through them.
