  1. use wax remover eh? toko wax remover or any of the other solvents used to clean bases works fine. then take a wire brush and clean it up really good.
  2. I was recently in Hawaii and caught the surfing bug. Is there anywhere on the coast that one can surf? I know you can do it in Tofino. but is there anywhere else? What about summer surfing.
  3. just be careful when you open it, you need 3 hands to hold all the parts and stuff inside there.
  4. yeah then go up to Bordy and smack him with your board.    :D :D :D :D
  5. Assorted screws 2-4hole cant disks 1-4 hole disk 3-3 hole disks 2 blue dampers 2 grey dampers 2 cant wedges 2 4hole aluminum cant adapter 2 3hole aluminum cant adapter 1 set of bindings 1 leash http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b171/fleagalbaum/burton%20Race%20Plates/
  6. Have you tried the Hostels? I know the ones around here are pretty neat and tidy. You might have to put up with the odd Hippie but definitely cheap. The ones here are Same Sun Hostels.
  7. GTA, why don't you look into a Swoard made by the Extremecarving guys. I cant comment on your boots as I do not know, but looking at the pictures, I would say yes, Intec will fit. It even looks like the shells had been on an intec reciever as there is wear on the boot by the binding surface.
  8. LMFAO I was almost in tears reading that. My wife thinks I am childish.
  9. They all seem to be facing their stance and not the front of the board.
  10. I like to slice trail maps that people throw from the chair.
  11. If you know where his car is in the parking lot. you could walk over and piss on his windshield. It will gum up the wipers and freeeze.
  12. What do you guys do about the crappy sound transmission on the radios. Do some frequencies work better than others. Mine work fine and even will transmit around our mountain but most of the time, it is nearly impossible to hear what they are saying because of crappy sound. The Patrol radios sound much clearer and crisp. Mind you they are around 500 bucks each. Is it the frequency they use?
  13. why don't they use loctite in airplanes, then they could do without PITA safety wires. If I knew my bindings were losening up, I would consider safety wires. My legs and my pain threshold depend on it. Until you rip your bindings out of the board, you do not appreciate having bindings that hold you upright and a board that won't fail you when you least expect it.
  14. Just wondering if the rubber under the binding acts like a lock washer. if you compress the rubber, the bolt will be under constant pressure and hopefully not loosen up. Maybe bindings should have the type of cap screws that Snowpro has but instead of using round flat washers, use concave washers to hold tension on the bolt. Some of the new Burton stuff has a built in lock groove filled with goo. Nice, but they only last a few remounts.
  15. D-sub, Looks like a nice setup. Do the little knobs on the end of the vices get in the way while scraping?
  16. actually with the shelf liner, the board hardly slides when scraping. And if you place the t's near the ends of the board, it doesnt flip up when scraping the tip or the tail.
  17. Gord, I just made some T's out of 2X4's and stapled the rubberized shelf liner to the tops. I lay my board on it and it almost sticks to the liner. Works really well. It sure is cheap fix and it works really well for edge shapening and waxing. I mounted them in some old toko vices and can slide them apart for different sized boards or skis. You could screw them to the edge of your bench or make some Pegs and drill holes to hold them in your work table.
  18. Oh and don't forget the whale sperm algorithms that stop key cards from accessing the flux capacitor
  19. I am just thinking out loud here. If you boots wont go into the standard bail binding because the pins are in the way, Maybe you can pull the release cable and retract the pins while putting the boot into the binding. After the boot is locked in, you should be able to release the Pin cable and the pins will stick out only as far as what they would interfere with. Perhaps you can make some kind of clip that slips onto the pins kinda like a spur for cowboy boots to keep the pins retracted.
