  1. Another couple of great days on the mountain . Great snow with Vista opening untracked terrain for some "cold smoke" as Byran put it! More big snow days coming so find your biggest pow stick and go out and ride !
  2. Would have been a great day to skin ! I think I saw Keenan and ran into Mike Tinkler. Great powder on monday and perfect bluebird today !
  3. Spin class, weights , biking , surfing , paddling ! Also every day I work, I do 2 sets of stair well climbs 12 stories up and down with crunchs . Try to do this everyday to keep my back healthy too.
  4. Ok big storm tonight but lots of wind tomorrow , Anyone thinking about going up ? I am going for sure tuesday ?
  5. This 2 years ago at the top of the palmer in april. It was completely buried at the top ! First time I have seen it like that .
  6. I have a donek hazelwood split and use the voile system with bomber tops and scarpa AT boots. It really works pretty good. I also have used approach skis which also has advantages in speed of transition and using your favorite board . Opps wrong hazelwood . Here is the right one
  7. I got my meadows pass and getting ready for the season . I have some m29s to share if anyone is needing a set . Jim
  8. Tline from Trillion lake today . Still some lanes on the palmer !
  9. I have a tanker 192 split and got a chance to ride a friends 200 hazelwood this year . i actually still have the board and might buy or trade for it from him . The HW rails turns better than a Tanker 200 but are heavier so the tankers win in powder . I really love both ! The HWs sidecut is like 11-13 so its really pretty turny and you weight >200lb right ? so as long as you have space to let it roll it should be fine !
  10. http://wavetribecompany.com/2014-airline-surfboard-boardbag-fee-guide-for-surfers/ *12/21 Update: Wave Tribe bro Robert says “It looks like Delta Airlines changed their size restriction from a max length of 9’5″ to linear dimensions: Linear dimension (length + width + height) cannot exceed 115 inches (292 cm). We recently has a customer that was refused when she tried to check in a 9’2 board on Delta from Honolulu to France. This was possible before for $150. Now you can only take shortboards, even a small longboard or SUP will be too big for this linear dimension measurement
  11. I always wanted to see this area so I am coming ? Saw the liftopia tix ? I really want to do a cat trip if conditions are decent ? Anyone in ? Also trying to figure out where to stay ? If anyone has any leads lmk? Heard staying in Baker city is best due to the brew pubs and actual night life ? Will come sat thru monday ? Jim
  12. Here is my favorite Tanker of all time, rails the groomers and rides powder ! Its a 02-03 Tanker 192 "fowards" and also a picture of my Donek hazelwood split copied after the 192. Both are awesome boards .
  13. Best place to buy epoxy ! http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/
  14. I still love Radair tankers for my go-to powder boards . I ride them with roughly the same stance I ride on my alpine boards with a looser top cuff on my boots . I usually have a set of collapsible ski poles to help get thru transitions when cat skiing . Makes it way easier . Central BC is the best ! Ride on
  15. Yep central BC , big white (out), silverstar, sun peaks , but its a 12hr drive ? I have done it for years going to monashee powder snowcats . You could drive up and do a day crystal mountain , then baker for a day , cross the border at sumas (bc wine country) and push to kelowna. From there ride silverstar and big white and stay on mountain cheap . Revelstoke is another 2-3 hrs north from there if you wanted to push back towards sun peaks . Jim
  16. Nice video Bryan ! Reminds me of the old days . You are looking pretty "strong" again riding ! Looking to go up next monday or teusday and after new years !
  17. Its still dumping ! come on baby dont quit ! I know you can last till the morning
  18. Post some pictures when you get home.
  19. Wish I could friday but working thru sunday . However, I then have 8 days off and hoping to get some riding in .
  20. It on ! Finally a week of snow . I am probably going to ride next monday if anyone want to meet up before xmas break starts .
  21. Yes I would agree with everyone , go to BC ! Whistler is the best place for everything , great riding , big mountain, great kids programs , and the village has great dining options for your wlfe's 40th bday . There is the olympic stuff yet and plenty of other places to see within a 2 drive if you want to check out Vancouver . You could book a day of heli if you wanted too also . The vancouver BOL alpine riders are pretty active and always willing to meet up ? However , Central BC is awesome too, sun peaks , revy , big white, silverstar all have excellent ski in ski out lodging , night tubing parks and great snow in a much more "family" atmosphere ! Revy probable has the best "ski town" feel of those places. Central BC has the coolest and nicest group of people I have ever met! I am trying to put something together this year for my daughters too.(15 & 17) Probably Whistler
  22. Sounds cool , count me in , always have mondays off from work but work the weekend . Could drive down sunday night from pdx and leave tuesday ?
  23. Looks like my chances of finding a NOS cambered tanker are going to be more difficult now!
