  1. im out - I'll wait for an intec pair to pop up :) thanks though and good luck to whoever gets em!
  2. next in line : ) gladly paypal you if they are intec/step-in and Tool Can doesn't want em
  3. looking to buy a TD2 suspension kit if anybody is looking to part with theirs... The bomber store is sold out of them for the season :(
  4. I ride TD2's on my Tanker which is softer flexing board. Feels great nice fun ride :)
  5. my riding buddy just got a pair of Smith Phenoms Turbo with RX inserts and loves them. They have a small fan to help with the fogging, they are nice and light, don't look too goofy and available in many stores. The inserts fit pretty well in there and that seems to be the way to go.
  6. Its pretty easy to change out lenses - most frames have the same procedure. The frame is all plastic and just peels away from the lens which is held in a groove. For lens try to get a bright day lens that has some type of mirror coating - it helps cut down the glare from the sun. I like lens that increase contrast, like a rose tinted lens. I have Spy optics goggles and run 3 lens. A 15% mirrored bronze for sun, a 40% rose for overcast days and a 70% yellow lens for snowed out days. The wisdoms are nice, I had a pair with the blue permission colored lens and it worked out pretty well for most conditions. On sunny days it was a bit hard to see, but for overcast days it was fine.
  7. heh no doubt. Sadly I have video to prove my cartwheeling abilities :) I doubt the little chutes I do in the sierras compare to big mountains in BC, CO, and utah so definitely not talking up my backcountry experience...there are some serious backcountry guys on this board and I couldnt even imagine the stuff they bomb off.
  8. man thats a seriously steep pitch... I sometimes wonder how steep some of the chutes I do are...but they are usually so short I do 2-3 jump turns then point straight down and pray for soft snow further down to slow me down...and pray my nose doesn't dig so I dont have to listen to my buddies laughing at me cartwheeling down

    Oes 2008!

Nice RJ! It will be good to ride with you! :) (baptiste with the red tanker)
  12. well I went out and picked up one of the olympus 790SW's at Fry's today. It looks like a solid camara, the test shots are turning out really well. But its going back tomorrow...it uses some olympus only XD card instead of a more standard format. I checked CC, bestbuy and frys and a 2-pack of 1gig XD cards are over 50 bucks. Seems excessive. So I ordered the 850SW online instead, should be here by Wed or so. This newer olympus version allows you to use microSD cards. Much more reasonable and widely available format. I bought a 2gig microSD card for $20 bucks today. The newer 850SW seems to have all the nice bells and whistles the 700 series does so we'll see how it does in the snow!
  13. Randy - it looks great! bet its going to ride like a dream! Hope you get some time on it soon with all the snow we've been getting heh!
  14. I am interested... Still available?
  15. I think I would fall down laughing if I walked into my bosses office and saw her on one of these things....
  16. another brand to consider is the Pentax. The newer W30 (current model) is very good 7 megapix, shots video, and is waterproof. My buddy has one that he uses for Jetskiing and it works pretty well. I don't know how it will do at colder temps....the Olympus looks very promising - i'll have to check it out since I'm in the market for a new digicam.
  17. Sandy - that pretty much sells it for me :) looks like I'm getting a new tanker next season heh. What mountain are you riding at the end of Feb? I think i'll be in seattle during that timeframe for a biz trip.

    Lucky Charms?

hmm no lucky charms...I have scrapped a riding day before when I've forgotten my pack with hydration, I just can't ride without sipping on water I get worn out so quick. Not so much a charm as a mental block for me
  19. nice choice :) Can't wait to see the final board Bobby! Its gonna look great on that AM!
  20. man...I think I had a pair of gloves just like those :o
  21. Sandy - that sounds like a winning combo. The pintail shape would be very interesting. And I love how my red board rides. Switzerland is a beautiful place to ride and pretty cheap. When I lived on the east coast it was actually cheaper to fly to Switzerland and ride then it was to go out west to CO/Utah. Hotels and food are much cheaper and much nicer for what you pay out west in the states. Zermatt was my home base for quite a few seasons:
  22. *drool* thanks for the pics!!! Oh man I see a new tanker in my future....now just have to decide what length to get ;) Did you get any stats on next year's boards? Or are they about the same as this year's models?
  23. man that's a gorgeous board! :1luvu:if I only had unlimited funds for all these beauties!

    td2 si's

James - i'll take the yellow set if its still available?
  25. wow NICE!!! it turned out great! you are very brave...I would have cried doing that to my tanker :D do you have a pic of the new tail? how does it ride now? interested to read your thoughts on it. The video was very cool and seems like it handles pretty well still.
