1. Guys I just got the specs for standard boards from Diablo Composites and figured I would post them up here. Eric and Abel are also doing full custom boards as well.
<col style="width: 48pt;" span="9" width="64">

<td class="xl24" style="width: 48pt;" 4. hmmm this looks like fun!!! Mammoth is just in my backyard too...hmmmmmmmm so tempting
5. cafer - nice looking ride! You are going to love Bruce's metal creations! Have a good weekend and rip some nice turns on her!
6. wow congrats to the lucky person who picked this board up! Enjoy your AM-T!
7. Keopele - haven't ridden any of the 3 bindings you listed but I have the nidecker carbon 900s for my softies and love them. They are really great bindings - very comfy and secure and the highback are asymmetric so they fit better at angles. I've also ridden the SPX Pro's which are very stiff. More stiff then the 900s. For my weight the 900s provided more then enough support to carve in softies. I've seen but never ridden the SPX90s. Sorry I couldn't help more, good luck finding bindings!

Oes 2008!

:p:p:p you guys are cracking me up lol much love!
9. Zermatt, Switzerland!!! one of my personal favorites :) glacier year around, great views, awesome town with no car access, good bars, easy train access, and lots of mountain to explore, good on-mountain eating, and easy access to ski down into Italy :)
10. Confirmed, I saw this board in person. It's the MikeT Pro template with 21.5 waist, 12M SCR, 172 length.

Oes 2008!

great pics Dennis!!! Thanks so much for posting them!
14. Diablo Composites 188 BX I want to thank Abel and Eric for allowing me the opportunity to test-ride this prototype board. I took it out on the last day through some nasty chopped up conditions and this board blasted through it. It was very smooth, a good combination of enough shock absorption to dampen out the ride without completely loosing the feeling of the snow. The 188 rode alot smaller then its actual length and was surprisingly easy to turn even with the 23cm waist width. The board went right into SL like turns as long as you got it up to the correct cruising speed. After hitting the right speed you could set an edge and let the board rail a huge arch across the hill then rip it into tighter turns. Another thing I enjoyed about the board was the tail pop. Due to the carbon materials the board dampened alot of the rough stuff but still managed to give you alot of energy return at the end of your carve. Diablo Composites is certainly a board company to keep on the radar. With the prototype boards riding like they are now I can't wait to see the first production runs. I've already put in an order for a smaller alpine shaped board and I can't wait to get it out on the snow. If you have any questions the builders: Abel and Eric, are more then happy to answer them. I'll ask them if they are ok with posting their contact info here to bomber but in the meantime just PM me and I can provide it to you. Rad-Air Tanker Ahh the Tanker...what a board! RJ did not disappoint and brought various length Tankers from the 2007/08 model lineup. The white pearl topsheets look amazing in the bright sun! I already had the luck of owning a 05/06 172 Tanker (red topsheet) so I decided to demo some of the last available 04/05 Rad-Air Tanker 192's. If you haven't seen a Tanker yet you should do everything possible to at least see one in person. These boards are SUPER light. You look at these huge 182, 187, 192 and 200 boards and think how heavy they must be....but due to the great materials Rad-Air uses they are feather weights. The 192 tanker I demo'ed was probably lighter then most 160ish length freeride boards. And the newer 07/08 models are even lighter! I have no idea how they do it but its awesome! I took it out on our "powder" day at OES. 4+ inches of freshies with hardboots and F2 plates. Our little group managed to catch first chair off the rainbow lift. The Tanker performed wonderfully - I was able to go from the wind-blown crusty side to the nice fluffy pow in the middle and around the trees. It floated my skinny 160 frame wonderfully and no need to pump the nose or any other silliness. Just point the board down the fall line and hang on! After that I hooked up with MikeT and we went off to summit to Cows Face in search of more freshies. Local knowledge did not disappointment and we were rewarded with this run. The Tanker again did very well here, I was able to carry a ton of speed down this mini-bowl with full confidence. It floated effortlessly and when we reached the cat-track it was great to glide past everybody with a big smile on my face :) I ended up buying one of the 192's to add to the growing Tanker collection!

Oes 2008!

Trying Mr. Buell! I'm trying....RJ has pulled my leg into riding this weekend...then I already have a 4 day planned for the next weekend...looks like we are shooting for last weekend of March if you guys are still around? Maybe G-Unit can come in as well?
16. NIce looking shape Mats! Whats the flex and sidecut like?

Oes 2008!

little video from our day three "powder day"... Bachelor is an amazing mountain, only 4 inches of new snow but we are rewarded with a run like this:
19. great great board! It was a big hit at OES!! ...just ask Russell, he demoed mine for a few runs and when I asked him what he thought his only answer was "I'm calling Bruce on Monday!" I saw this board and Brett has kept it in excellent condition, it looks pristine and you cant even tell bindings have been mounted on it
20. NICE! that is good exposure for the sport!
21. good stuff! I'm still learning myself and its great to have breakthrough days like that! :) Sounds like Mario's advice and your application of it lead to some good results and progression! Keep trenching!
22. Tahoe in April is certainly going to be soft and slushy :( Like Thor recommended I would aim for resorts at higher elevations. Colorado is a good bet, and maybe Mt. Hood in Oregon? They have skiing till June I believe. Enjoy that metal! :D
23. that is great Mike! So cute!! I love your workaround for the bindings :) That would be great if she jumps between skiing and snowboarding, will make her a better rider in the long run!
24. well here in Bay Area its widely accepted as a "normal" thing to do for both girls and guys. And when I lived in Boston about 5-6 years ago it was also gaining popularity - there was even a good studio run by a guy in Somerville...now in South Florida Yogo is a whole other story  only the supermodel's on south beach do it...the rest of the population thinks its hippie and weird.

Oes 2008!

Allen and I finally got home LATE Sunday after a very exhausting 8ish hour drive. 55 MPH in Oregon sucks by the way :sleep:never been so happy to see the "Welcome to California" so I could drive a reasonable 70 MPH... So oh wow oh wow...where to start?! OES was just downright amazing.... First off I want to say thanks to a bunch of people: MikeT, Bonnie, Buell, and Rebecca for setting up and organizing this amazing event! Everything ran so smoothly and always had that chill vibe with friends. Thanks to RJ from www.Exoticboards.com ! He brought quite a few 07/08 Tankers and broke them out of plastic wrap for "lending out" to "friends" ;) We also had the pleasure of seeing and riding some of the latest SG metal boards. Quite a few of us left with new Tankers and SG boards in our quiver! Extra special thanks to Don for his clinic on Sunday! I learned so much from that and I will never look at an orange ribbon in quite the same way...and I promise by next year I'll learn which is my front knee and right and left hands Bryan - I'm so sorry I didn't get the honor of meeting you in person. I have been reading and enjoying your posts for months and was looking forward to shaking your hand. Your presence was here though in our minds and I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to sharing some turns with you next year! Thanks again for the dinner at Chan's, it was truly a special night for all of us. Diablo Composites (Abel and Eric) - thanks for the opptunity to ride the new Diablo Composites prototype BX board! What a board! 188 with a full carbon fiber topsheet, kelver and hand-picked stringers. This thing just plowed through it all. 50 degrees and skied off packed powder conditions? No problem, set the edge and let her go. The 188 rode alot smaller when needed after you got it up to the right speed, edge trans were amazingly fast for a wider board. Perfect match of enough dampness to smooth out the rough snow patches without making the board feel dead and losing all the important feedback of what is going on under your feet. We'll definitanly be hooking up and i'm very excited to see your first production run. By the time OES 09 comes around I'm sure everybody will know Diablo Composities (just remember me! and save me a spot in the board build queue! :)) Allen, Dennis, Etsu, Rebecca, and RandyS - thanks for taking pics and posting them! I totally bailed out of my usual camera crazy role and glad you guys were around to capture those great OES moments and memories! The NorCal crew - Randy T, Russell, Hagen, JimF, Hugh, RJ, RandyS! Man it was great meeting you guys after reading your posts here and on TC. It was awesome riding with you guys and I can't wait to hook up with you guys in Tahoe and carve some turns! Mahalo Ron and JimF - you guys just always made me smile every time I saw you. It was great sharing some turns with you guys! Steve - We killed Downunder and Ed's Garden that day - thanks so much again for taking the time out to give me some very helpful advice. I'll always remember your helpful tips...you are a great teacher and it was a true pleasure to get to ride with you and Sean! Tim - you rock man! It was great riding with you and I really enjoyed hanging out with you! You are a super nice guy and anybody would be lucky to get the chance to call you a friend. Don and Etsu - thanks guys :) Don it was an honor to get to ride with you everyday. You are awesome and we'll definitely have to hook up again. Etsuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :p you always brought a huge smile to my face every time I saw you and you are an amazing carver! Kenny - thanks again for everything! It was great riding with you! Chris - it was awesome railing some nice pow turns with you and sharing our last riding afternoon together. Hope you have a safe flight back and glad you come out! Greg - enjoy that tanker :) It was great riding and sharing a table with you! Brett - thanks for the beer and the good times! I'm sorry you had to work this weekend, you were missed on the hill but it was great to see you at Mike's house party before I had to leave. RandyT/Russell - awesome hanging out with you guys! I'll come up and ride some nice double/single-track with you and Russell this summer for sure! And Russell enjoy that AMT buddy :) I can't wait to rip some turns with you and Randy Trikerdad - Bill, what can I say...you are amazing, you don't leave trenches, you leave caves on the hill... You were the first OES carver I had the honor of riding a chair up with and I loved riding with you. Your helpful advice and tips were always appreciated and I cant wait to share some more turns with you next year! Buell and Rebecca - wow guys...I really just don't know how to express my thoughts to you guys. Thanks just isn't a big enough word, in fact no words are. From the first emails we exchanged till the last hug goodbye at 4pm Sunday I was grateful for every minute I got to spend with you guys. There is no way I'm waiting till next OES to ride with you guys again so watch out for a grey subaru showing up in the parking lot for first chair :) MikeT - Mike what can I say? You are awesome! Thanks so much for setting up this great event, showing up for first chair every morning, making sure nobody ever had to carve alone, opening up your house to 40+ people, taking the time out for a great tuning clinic, and for keeping that vibe we talked about for 4 days going! I loved riding with you, talking Coiler with you, and just flat out hanging out with you. I really can't wait to see you again and I want to be your first student :) Bonnie - You are an amazing woman! Thanks for putting up with my hugging addiction, riding with you, and welcoming us all into your beautiful home! You rail on that phoenix!! :D Quentin - G-UNIT! I'll never forget ghost riding the whip on twenty-twos in the bachelor parking lot while we are chillin with some grilled cheese 'N juice I'll have a bunch more to post later!
