  1. Its best to get fitted near the slopes, so you can go back during a day of riding to get things tweaked, but if you must do it down in LA, check out Claude at Ski Net Sports in Studio City. http://www.skinetsports.com/
  2. Ripturns = CMC? Welcome back! I have one of your 58s and try to ride to snot out of it as much as I can. :)
  3. Mammoth pass, but hope to spend a large amount of time at June.
  4. I might give it a try next weekend too. The top appears to be holding the slush bumps somewhat well, but I don't expect much down low after 11am. There's some kind of MVP party on the 11th too.
  5. I didn't get to meet up with any hardbooters other than Tim Kienitz briefly, pretty late in the day on Saturday while I was wrapping up for the day since it was all mush. I did see a number of other folks from afar earlier but did not get to meet up. On Saturday I was on a Coiler Stub 166, green jacket, face mask and shiny goggles. Sunday I was (shock and horror!) on skis! :)
  6. I saw a lot of carvers that I didn't recognize right away, and only got to meet up with Tim K briefly at the end of the day Saturday once everything turned to mush. Good times though!
  7. I'm probably coming up this evening for the weekend with a group of friends. Will keep an eye out for you Joe.
  8. Here right now, the plan is follow the sun. Park at stump but take 10 up and ride Canyon early (Eagle is done, forget it). As things warm up head towards main then head up to the top and backside. There is still lots of really good riding and excellent coverage.
  9. Good dinner. Good beer. Thanks for the update Tom. Sorry you couldn't make it. For tomorrow, we're aiming for a 10:30am meet up at the main lodge map. Terry and Frank found great conditions over by 12, 13 and 14.
  10. So where was everyone? I separately ran into Miltie (Tom), Tim Kientiz, Terry & Frank, and KingCrimson/Theo. carvingchef and arclight were on the mountain but we did not get to meet up. Who else was around? We're getting together for dinner at Z Ranch at 7pm for those who can make it.
  11. Beer friendship works for many of us. ;) You need to let us know ASAP (email/name) so we can submit the BaF request. It needs to be a day prior to riding. I'll have a cooler with a few at the end of each day at Stump anyway. See you guys soon!
  12. A little warm, and sounds like there's a bit of freeze/thaw, but we'll have a good time. Sharpen those edges if you're going to get first tracks! Lets all try to park just right of the lift at Chair 2. See you guys soon!
  13. You relocated the ankle buckle there? Does that keep the middle two buckles from hitting each other? That appears to affect flex quite a bit when they do.
  14. Looks like a solid carving-weather/conditions weekend for us coming up. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!
  15. Personally leaning towards the 3/16 weekend, but I can be swayed. I'd like to hit the weekend that has the least weather for good carving (though some more snow would certainly be welcome, too dry lately!). Thoughts? Based on the posts above, I think I see more votes towards 3/9.
  16. What's the general purpose for the Nirvana build? VSR shape, plus Monster feel?
  17. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll try to hit up those spots and I think my friend already booked lunch at the 10th Mtn Restaurant. :)
  18. I saw that board, you beat me to it! :) I won't be up until next weekend at the earliest, might even be first weekend March. I'll keep you posted.
  19. I'll be at Vail if anyone is over there.
  20. Pretty sure I have a set of yellow e-rings (or at least TD2 erings + suspension kit, same thing) and I do have yellow epads that I am not using. When are you up in Mammoth next?
  21. Yeah, so I'm dumb and am arriving in Colorado just after SES ends. With that out of the way, I was only able to arrange a CO trip over President's day weekend. We have a room at the Vail Marriott during the busy 3 days that long weekend. A few questions/request for suggestions from all y'all: 1) Will Vail and Beaver Creek keep us sufficiently entertained as far as riding? Carving will be a focus for me, but not the only thing we need to do if there are good pow runs (I know the back bowls rock). For carving, it sounds like reading the grooming report is the best bet, correct? Any specific areas to hit for good carving, and to avoid crowds? 2) Staying at the Marriott, it sounds like I'm somewhat close to the Lionshead gondi, correct? Is there good riding out of there? Apres, are there good spots near that hotel? 3) FOOD: where are the must-eats in Vail? We're willing to splurge a bit if it is worth it. Also, any hidden gems (hole in the wall to high end, doesn't matter as long as its great) that we should hit up? 4) Party :) Any specific spots to party it up? I know it will be a crowded weekend, so I'm looking for options, both on the big party side as well as some smaller mellow places to grab a few nice drinks. Thanks in advance all. :D
  22. Hey we chatted at the base of 2 about your set up right? Let me see if I can find the Burton wedge and I'll bring it with me tomorrow.
