NMU Alpine Boarder

Personally, I wear a BX style helmet. It's different, looks cool, and allows me to just have 1 helmet for freeriding and running gates.... I have never had an issue with the temperture. Infact, I think it's better for me cause I have to race and ride in colder than normal temps

Sorry to hear about the bad expiriance you had in the U.P. man... I am a reg up here at Marquette Mtn. and try my best to promote the sport... If you are ever up this way, let me know... There are no where near enough carvers up here....

It didn't look like it from the sponsors/exhibitors I saw...

That has to be an interesting show.... Having to deal with some of the shops back home makes it quite clear that a good number of skiers in that area of the country do it just to be seen....

We have it good up here at school... The Outdoor Rec group brings it here and it's FREE to students

I don't want to really start another thread on this subject, so I'll just ask this here. Do you think a duel between JJ Anderson and Klug could possibly save us. Would NBC give coverage to something like this? I'm sure CBC would. What about Jasey winning PGS and SBX? Does that get coverage?

I'm your average 22 year old college student. Currently going for an Ecology degree with asperations of landing a job in Fisheries Management with US Fish & Wildlife or a DNR somewhere. This will be season 11 for me (8 of those were based out of Chicago, so I still got some Noobieness left in me ). Season 4 on plates....

Do you believe the competitive side of snowboarding (mainly racing, but the freestyle side too) would be in a different situation if the ISF was allowed to govern the sport. From what I have read on the ISF, it seems that they were more in touch with riders as compared to F.I.S. They seemed to be an organization "for snowboarders, by snowboarders". Personally, I got heavily involved in the sport just as the ISF was dying off, so I don't know that much about it..... Thoughts/comments?

I agree with this fellow Go Sox Although I do have to stand up for Doug Eddings. It's not because I am a SOx fan, but because I am an umpire when there is no snow.... From behind the plate, you really can't tell whether the ball was caught, or if it hit the dirt... The catcher will almost always block your view on any close call... This begs the question about whether Ed Rapurano (3rd base Blue) signaled to Doug Eddings.... You are taught from Little League on up that the field Blue should help the Home Plate Ump make a call on a 3rd strike.... This has not been an easy week to be a die hard Sox fan....

Just for reference, the NY Islanders came back from being down 3-0 (and they did force a Game 7 in the following series after falling down 3-0 again) in 1975. I also believe the maple Leafs did it as well... Boston was not the First team in Sports to do it, just in baseball....

Ski Brule usually opens around the 10th of November, and Marquette either the 2nd or 3rd week in November.... We are spoiled here in the Upper Penninsula compared to the rest of the Midwest, lol... I know what you mean about places like Wilmot I'll pass thank you....

I just realized that this will be going on at Sugarloaf the same time as the USCSA Nationals No Good shall come of this I guess that gives me double the incentive to go out there this year....

I really don't understand the success either... I have some friends here at school that post everyday in the Blogs, and read other people's blogs religiously.... It's amazing at how much S*** that can stir up in the Drama department. Personally, I don't see what the appeal of telling the world what you did at a party last night is....
