  1. Kinda sounds like Tanner Hall.... I'll bet my whole quiver that Racers take to the park faster than Park people take to the race course....
  2. I'm selling a used 2005 173 RT. It works excellent on the race course, but is a bit big for everyday riding. Base and Edges are in great shape, just normal wear. There is a a small area of topsheet damage from an altercation in the liftline Seen here. Specs Running length: 154.5 cm Tip: 24.4 cm Waist:19 cm Tail: 25 cm Sidecut: 11.7m Pics will be availible soon hopefully. Feel free to ask any questions and make an offer :)
  3. So, ummmmm, who's willing to give up thier place in line? :D I'll throw ya $20 ;)
  4. Ok, I understand that the big advantage of the bindings is that they are lighter. This may be me over thinking the situation, but isn't this hurting you? My thinking is that a heavier binding will lower one's center of gravity, and will put weight right at the boards edge. This would inturn result in less angulation needed to put your own body weight over the edge. Am I over-thinking here? I know we are only talking about a few ounces here, but I got this theory in my head, and I have convinced myself that it's right, so I figured I would pick the brains of some people that have way more of a clue than me....
  5. Why not an older Burton? They are cheap, redily availible, and can still carve. That's the fate my old FP 159 is looking at.....
  6. I live at one of those dark green dots, so I am happy:D ...
  7. While getting the lift after inspection, a woman got tripped up while gettin on the chair, and had one of her skis slam into my Volkyl. No one was hurt, but the board took a decent hit. Any ideas on repairs? The gash is about the size of a dime, and appears to be topsheet only....
  8. This subject actually entered my train of thought recently.... Coming up in 2 weeks my local hill has a "Speed Weekend" with both a Downhill and Speed Trap events, both of which I'll be running. I'm curious as to they style of boards that are used here. I'd assume nothing shorter than 220?
  9. Last year, they held one of those races at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. The "track" was still under construction at the time, but it looked gnarly... I want in:D
  10. Yea, there was same day coverage on USA Network last weekend... It was a hell of a race. 1st time ever that an american won, let alone going 1-2. I can only imagine what could have happened if the US Ski program could have peaked on time in SLC . Oh well, better late than never :D
  11. They can't be that bad, considerind that there is a world cup race there the previous weekend....
  12. I will gladly volunteer to put this board through the paces of running a BX course :D Then we can see how it handles the bumps, chunks, and ruts:cool:
  13. Just curious, since it's a BX board, has anyone aired it out with this board? Just curious on how it takes landings....
  14. Jasey uses that monster 180 Coiler with Cateks on most courses...
  15. Those terrain park kids just don't seem to care about thier bases, do they;) :D
  16. I am really starting to feel for you guys in the Northwest..... Hopefully you can finish the season with a bang...
  17. I am currently taking a ski class ;) Hanging around with ski racers has definately pulled me towards the dark side... A carve is a carve :D
  18. What's wrong with PBR:D ... Kids drink it all the time on campus here... I mean if college kids like it, it must be good;)
  19. Ok, this past weekend, I raced in sub-zero air temps, with the snow in the -20 degree range... I used some Swix CH3 this weekend at a race, and it plain SUCKED!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions? I have heard great stuff about START's Green wax....
  20. Unfortunately describes me perfectly.... Breaking at the waist is an ongoing problem I have, and I would like to eliminate it this season.... I know I need to get forward, but I constantly find myself making this mistake.... It's very easy to fall into this habit, I know I have  ...
  21. I think that 2nd pic is cool as hell:D ... Nice work...
