  1. Another Clicker fan, eh? I was too until I couldn't find boots for my big feet anymore. Sold all my remaining boots and bindings last year. Sad to see them go.
  2. Hit Heavenly on the south end of the lake if you have the time.
  3. Smith makes great goggles in a number of different sizes and profiles. For those with glasses or fogging problems, check out the Smith OTG (over the glasses) goggles. Specifically the Turbo Fan models. They have an integrated fan venting system that works rather well. You can also pay for their ODS (ocular docking system) that is a custom Rx insert (in place of wearing glasses) for their OTG goggles. Ultimately you need to try on an assortment of models to find ones that fit your face and helmet. To avoid watering eyes, make sure the face foam sits snugly against your skin all the way around the whole goggle. Most of the time the problem is air leaking in around the nose or near the temples. Make sure they fit well and this shouldn't be a problem.
  4. 3 degree toe lift, 3 degree heel lift. No canting. I find that the toe lift on the front foot puts the ankle in a flexed position which helps engage the knee and hip.
  5. Fin, can the lugs be made out of steel? It seems to me that the aluminum lug is the weak point between the steel bail and steel shaft. The lug also tends to deform when tightening the shaft screw (at the opposite end where the shaft is held captive by the lug).
  6. Hopefully CO and WA will be a model for other states. Anybody know how these changes to the laws will be rolled in?
  7. I extend hot waxes with Dominator MOMENTIUM O2 paste wax. Stuff works great! http://www.dominatorwax.com/momentium.html
  8. Sold. Thanks bruincounselor!
  9. Won't that be sweet? Boots printed for YOUR feet. I can't wait.

    Whooopsy!

Is that road like the Bermuda Triangle for motorcycles? I've seen so many pictures of people crashing there.
  11. I was referring to the feel of a waterski compared to a wakeboard. The way they turn feels quite different. I would imagine that a reverse sidecut snowboard would feel similar to a wakeboard.
  12. Buy Honda or Toyota. They run forever and are not costly to repair.
  13. I have a Voile Split Decision and love it. Kelly, I would look for a Voile board. They have been making them for a while and you can find them used. The construction quality is great and the Viole binding system is good. It takes a little tweaking to get it set up right but once you do you will not have any problems with it. I never rode on the Burton system but played with it at the local shop a number of times and it looked horrible. I'd be wary of the Atomic board system as well. Reviews of it's binding system are not good. With splitboarding, one thing that you have to be comfortable with is a quick change from climb to ride. The Voile system does that well. It's simple and there are not many ways it can clog up with snow. Clogs of snow tend to be easily cleared by the act of disassembling and assembling it. It's well designed. If your hardboots fit well, and it sounds like they do, I would think you'd want to go with a plate binding for the split like the Voile Mountain Plate or Bomber Splitboard Binding.
  14. What Fawcett says makes sense. Wakeboards have a similar shape. I would assume that these reverse sidecut boards feel like the difference between wakeboarding and waterskiing. A waterski feels like you need to lean your whole body over and the turn is happening over the length of the ski. Wakeboards feel like there's a pivot between your feet and you can dig that edge into the water and change directions much more quickly.
  15. Sale pending to bruincounselor.
