  1. Salut Steph! Any way, si tu peux me conseiller, cela serait apprécié! Merci Francois.
  2. Greetings, I will be in Lake Tahoe the third week of March for business and I was wondering if I should extend my stay to ride in the area. I will be staying at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe. We have a free afternoon to go to Diamond Peak for a quick session but I am tempted to stay longer and do more. I was hoping to get some info from local people or frequent visitors about the typical conditions in late March. Maybe if I could get advice where to go from the Hyatt on weather, snow condition and crowd. Thanks.
  3. You are kidding, right? $150 for a Coiler metal... The answer is no. The board was built before metal was offered. Thanks for looking!
  4. Clean up time! Just tired of moving the stuff around when I know I will not be using this anymore. - Coiler Freecarve 178 for a 225 pound guy! (178 x 20 x 10.5 sidecut radius) $200 plus shipping. (Sold) - Coiler All Mountain 172 for a big guy as well (172 x 23 x unsure of the radius) $150 plus shipping (Sold) - Burton Speed 168 W (168 x 22.5 X 10.46 radius) $200 plus shipping. (Sold) - Burton Race Plates (Brand new) $200 plus shipping (Sold) - TD2 Standard with yellow inserts and 3 and 6 degree cant disks $150 plus shipping (Sold) - TD2 Standard and Step-in kits with purple inserts and 2 x 3 degree and 1 x 6 degree cant disks. $200 plus shipping (Sold) - Intec heels (2 sets) $50 and $75 according to their shape plus shipping (Sold) Thank you for all the interest! The Coiler Freecarve is in great shape ridden for a few season lots of life left in it. No base damage! The Coiler All Mountain was bought used from a BOL member and used only once since I found the waist too wide for me. Still in good shape and no base damage as well. I can't remember how use it got before I bought it. The Burton is brand new ("second" model, I never saw any flaws but I wanted to mention it anyway). Bindings were never mounted since I realized I was way too heavy for the board.. The TD2 bindings are in great shape. Of course, they are Bomber plates! The Burton plates are brand new! The heels are good to go but one set has seen less use. I have included a few pics but I can email more pictures and details shots for interested people. email: guay_francois@videotron.ca
  5. I noticed that the original poster has sold the bindings on ebay. I don't think I am going to much in his kitchen if I offer one option for bindings. So just follow this link to another posting and maybe you will find something that suits you! Regards. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?38306-Burton-plates
  6. I bought these plates brand new a long time ago because I wanted to used them with my Burton Speed 168W. It turn out that I never rode either the bindings or the board because I was too heavy for the board (230 +). As I was ready to post a few boards and bindings, I saw that you were interested in those bindings. So here is a picture of what I have. If you are interested, you can get them for $200 plus shipping. email: guay_francois@videotron.ca Regards.
  7. Hello, Stéphane, I have been thinking about doing the mods to the boots. I was also interested to add the BTS but on the Bomber store, they say it does not fit. Just curious to see how you did it. Do I have to be an engineer to do it? You can email me directly at guay_francois@videotron.ca Thanks Francois.
  8. Would like to be on the list as well.
  9. Yep, moving the binding one insert forward is one more avenue I will check after playing around with the heel and toe lift (if this does not work). As for the inserts, I simply went for the middle position similar to the previous board. The only difference now from the VSR to the former board, the VSR has 10 inserts or 5 positions per foot vs 8 inserts or 4 position for the FC. Maybe this is moving back a bit??? This might be another clue to my mistery!
  10. Yes, I did went from supplied heel with the Head boots to the Fintech so I could use TD3 step-in all the way as opposed to Step-in for the rear and standard for the front leg on my previous set-up (TD2). This might explain the difference I felt right away with the new heel. Maybe 3 rear and 6 front might put me back where I was before since I had no leg issues with the previous set-up. No, I did not try the old board for 2 reasons. First I did not bring the old board. Silly me, I could have compared the 2 set-ups. It reminded me of a day when I went to the slope with only my carving set-up to realized that 24 inches plus of snow has fallen... There was the issue of the new Fintech heel that does not work with the aluminum heel receiver from the TD-2 as well. I will definitely bring 2 boards (new VSR with revised heel and toe lift, old FC with the exact previous set-up but standard for the rear leg because my new Fintech heel prevent me from using the TD-2 alumimum receiver, extra ring and tools on my next trip to the hill. Some Sportlegs as well for extra safety...
  11. You bring a good point about widening my stance. I have been thinking about that. Since I want a quick fix for this week and don't want to fuzz around too much, I will probably try more toe lift and play around with the rear. When all is back to normal, I think I will experiment a bit with stance width. Nor sure how many more week we have left? Because our snow coverage reminds me of some of the sites in Vancouver. Pretty thin...:(
  12. Sounds like my plan for wednesday! Just trying not to do too much tooling around and start with the best possible fix! Otherwise, it will be yell at the chair lift guy, get drunk the bar, get back home with a taxi and then sell the Terminator and all related junk only to regret it in the morning with a huge hangover...
  13. I am 6feet tall with about 32 inseam height. I remember that I saw somewhere that 0.607 times the inseam was a good starting point. My stance is 19.5. I took the measurement center to center on my binding. Is this the right way? I will take your advice and run with 6 front and 3 rear as a starter.
