  1. Anybody coming out to Tyrol tomorrow? Weather is supposed to be iffy but it'd be great to get a few turns in with you guys. NASTAR starts at 10:30 too. Joe Frost
  2. I'll trade a never-used yellow long for a progressive blue...and add money too!
  3. Same height as you and same stance too. You could widen it with cants if you want...or not. Not sure you have to change anything
  4. Oh man, thanks for the write-up, I think we all got a little taste of the 1st annual MCCS, what a great event, especially for the first year! Whoever was taking those pics was awesome too, really grabbed the thrill on the hill and the festivities at apres-ski. Those sponsors have got to be happy with all of that exposure. I'm really thinking a Coiler with Cateks would be just perfect for me now. Are the dates set for next year? Thanks again :)
  5. Wow, that really does look Heavenly!
  6. Do you still have the 186? When was it made? Thanks :)
  7. Man, this has got me thinking about hosting a GPES Great Plains Expression Session! You guys rock!
  8. Cool! Let us know if it does all it is supposed to when you get it!
  9. Whoa, now you've gotta elaborate on this...here or a new thread....
  10. Is this still for sale? What is the waist width?
  11. Actually, what about the Razor? http://www.donek.com/01_products/razor.htm
  12. One of the versions of the Freeride....actually I think he means "Freeride, wide" vs. "Freeride, incline" vs. "Freeride, sasquatch" http://www.donek.com/01_products/freeride.htm The thought crossed my mind too....only $450!....but how do they carve the machine made stuff? And plates are OK?
  13. I'd like to try zeros but I don't want to give up my 3's, any chance you'd sell'em outright for 20$ each like tex?
  14. Here's a few things I try to do-some more successfully than others. If you've got "The Fever", they're all fun! -Riding with better (ski or snowboard) riders -Riding in tough conditions -Keeping yourself and your stuff in good condition -I'm a fan of watching videos....a throwback to the old "Cybervision" ski tapes (anybody remember these?) -Become a "student of the art" -Make the effort to go to where the best are riding once in awhile -Get plenty of on-snow time -Not sure about skiing to get to be a better boarder but coming from a strong ski carving/racing background has been a HUGE advantage in alpine snowboarding so there might be something to it
  15. I don't want to ruin anybody's fun but I like to tear it up as much as anybody else, I hear this probably once every day or two, so I stick to one run mostly. 50 midwest runs in a day and even one alpine rider can really tear up the cord on a run!
  16. oooo, yeah, that's scary! 2nd to scantily clad women, that's the coolest out there. Is this gonna be something available to other people?
  17. The yellow springs are pretty soft, I'm 195#'s and running the blues with only a little "preload" and getting a lot of flex, way more than before BTS and I like it. I think the yellows would be the way to go, you could always switch to the blues if they were too soft. I was worried about the blues being too stiff so I have some yellows "in stock" but I haven't tried them yet. They felt really soft tho.
  18. The reaper is cool, maybe you could make the logo the same style and put it on the nose and remove the skull.
  19. The yellow springs seem really soft (I have a set but have only put in the medium blues) and would give a lot of nice flex-obviously less than walk mode tho. The thing about walk mode that is funny is that it looks like just two little plastic tabs keep it from breaking on flexion yet yours have lasted for 11 years (!) I'd say get the BTS for safety but in your case maybe that doesn't apply.
  20. trade me your long red springs for my long yellow springs? Just a guess Maybe it is friction from more ankle flex...you could try the silicone spray in a zip lock bag trick maybe?
  21. You guys, sheeze, duct tape is soooo 1990's, it's gorilla tape now, this stuff has been on the podium at all of the big races, it's way faster, easier, and holds an incredible edge on ice. It's almost like cheating!
