    Noram Calendar ?

Did anyone hear rumors about Noram calendar for PGS/PSL/GS/SL ( or any other FIS races ) There are the 3 "Classics"<o></o> Copper Mountain: November 19th-20th ( GS/SL format as last year, no parallel due to early conditions )<o></o> SteamBoat: January 9th – 10th<o></o> Le Relais, Quebec City ( hometown ) is also back January 24th – 25th <o></o>+ Tremblant, Quebec will host the Noram Finals ( PGS only, SBX, HP ) end of March, with some "Master" races. <o></o> <o></o> No other info on www.FIS-Ski.com<o></o> No additional info on www.USSA.org<o></o> No info on www.csf.ca Are we down to 7 races ( 4 PGS/GS + 3 PSL/SL ) <o></o> Already last year, there was only 10 with February races in Park City + Finals at Mt. Hood ( instead of Tremblant )<o></o> In 2006/07, there was 16 Noram races, which included Calgary & Norquay ( in a 4 races in 4-day format ! ) Bromley & Sunshine. ( 6 races in Alberta ! ) In 2005/06 = 19 Noram or FIS races<o></o> In 2004/05 = 19 Noram or FIS races<o></o> In 2003/04 = 24 Noram or FIS races !!<o></o> ….<o></o> <o></o> <o></o> Did anybody got info about additional race ? Park City ? Alberta ? East (Ice) Coast ? Seb
  3. I would consider Mont Ste-Anne, rather than Tremblant. A lot of racing team from East Coast driving down to Quebec every fall. We have seen good Snowboarding in early November some year. They open their north side, with 1000' vertical drop with a high-speed quad, a carving threat. But, during first couple of weekends, it could get too crowded around noon for good carving so you need to be there early. Seb

    Dealnews: Boot Glove

Couple years ago, my Mom had snow intrusion with brand new Head Ski boots ( poor design ). Head dealer gave her a pair of those boot gloves. It seems to work fine for snow intrusion + added some cold protection. They "chew up" very quickly ( stepping in & out of bindings + walking ) and were unusable within 15 ski days. PS: Head finally gave her money back..
  5. 6. The guy with the red shoulder, could it be David Manthei ? Seb
  7. Very good videos. My personal guess on who are some peolple on the video. In their riding order 1st: Blue jacket: Thedo, the coach of the Steamboat Race Team 2nd: A girl 3rd: Jacket with the red shoulder, I believe I know him but can't remember his name 4th: White jacket : Madeline Wiencke 5th: All black with yellow Helmet: Michael Trapp ( aka MTrappy on BOL ) 6th: Another girl 7th: Light blue pant: Darren Ratcliffe 8th: All black w/ black helmet: Benjamin Fairchild III These are my guess, I could be wrong. If you looked carefully, Michael, Darren and Ben are riding Dalbello ski boots. They were not during the race season... Sorry again for 2 out of 3 girls, I can recognized them. Seb
  8. At Mont Ste-Anne, January 2nd On my SG Pro Team 178 Seb
  9. - "no more metal top sheets"... - "Titanal is now burried under layers of glass"... - "slightly decambered nose"... Someone is "learning" from the SG Race T. board...Good board to "look at" since SG board won the World Cup. Seb
  10. I vote for TD2 as I rode with them for 2 years. But, I'm now with F2 Race Titanium for racing purpose. With so many days a year, the stiffness of the TD2 in racing conditions were giving me "shin bang". Altough I have seen F2 broken bindings ( bails ) and never saw a broken TD2. Seb

    Training now??

I heard about a camp at A-Basin in May with "Tedo" from Steamboat Springs, but I'm not sure if it will include gates. Seb
  12. I know this boots are hard to find but if anybody have a pair for sale I will take them! In mondo 26-26.5 thank's seb
  13. Mine were right out of the gate. I went straight line, only absorption for the whole set. The slope was easy. On the BX portion, I was faster than any skier, this helped me to make the "Final 4" out of 60+ people. Seb
  14. Funny, last saturday I entered a race that were intended for mogul skiers. It was a field of moguls ( 15-20 in a rows ) that transformed into a Skiercross race. That was part of spring festival and was intended to promote local Mogul skier, Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau & Vincent Marquis, both from the Canadian Mogul Team. I had to borrow ski poles to leave the starting position, but I was leaving the poles there. I did all the runs with my GS board, a SG 178cm . The formula was a duel one, very spectacular. I was a crowd pleaser and I lost in semi-finals against a mogul provincial team member, mainly because of a poor start. I won bronze ! I had a lot of fun, believe me Seb
Seb

Thanks Dave for the Info That's not even on their website....Nothing on LG, no mention as a sponsor...
  17. I'm expecting at least an other 6 ( 3 weekends ) Seb
Seb
  19. I lost one once. I replaced it with a small tie-rap. Never had problem since Seb
