Freezer
Anybody have a source/recommendation for board bags? Looking for something to put the alpine boards in to throw in the back of the SUV. Want to protect from scuffs/scrapes, but don't need an airline/wheeled bag. Thanks! pmorita
I had the same problem to solve. Went to Harbor Freight and bought a few of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/72-inch-x-80-inch-movers-blanket-66537.html Took a sewing machine and created a sausage casing bag open at one end. Make it long so you can tuck in open end so the board doesn't fall out. 10 minutes and $9 later I have a pretty neat looking bag.
rjnakata
Another good source is Craigslist in the Winter months. You can sometimes get some great stuff for cheap without the shipping cost which can be high for a large bag.
Keenan
http://bomberonline.3dcartstores.com/Accessories_c_32.html Bomber has them with straps for $35. Mark at Thirst Snowboards also has some made out of moving blankets if you want something more basic.

I've been burrito wrapping my boards for travel in some softshell fabric that I bought by the yard at a crafts store. It works fine, but is a pain in the butt - a bag would be much easier. If I could sew / had a sewing machine, I'd be all about making my own moving blanket bag.

Mr.E
Rossignol Stuff Sacks: Fits up to a 210, is padded around the bindings, and stuffs in the closet when not in use. I layer these is a DaKine Tram 190 (labeled as a ski bag) when I need more: Edited December 20, 2019 by Mr.E
