kipstar
I did the same thing to my deeluxes. The plastic goes Brittle and then it cracks. I guess we should be gratefull if didn't happen midturn. Same spot too. Mine were the orange ones.
lowrider
What's your best guess on the age of your boots?
Ladia
I had two Head Stratos broken in this way. It was in both cases front boot with TD1. I used step-in on back foot in those times. Lucky I had always second pair in car. AT or ski boots are stronger. What binding do you have?
Aracan
Myself, I have never had a boot break. But from what I hear, 400 days is decent mileage for those boots. Gray tongues and RTR cuffs sounds a lot stiffer than the red/white T700. Have you re-tried the softer parts?
billyt.
The picture looks like it shows some depression where the bail contacts the plastic. Is there too much tension on the boot plastic from locking down the bindings? Well now you get to dial in some new boots!
daveo
In contrast it is like everyone here is trying to carve. Which nightmare-ish mountain are you at?
lowrider
Noticed a few making a little more noise than usual but not hoards. Mothers must have kicked them out of the basement or they were low on bandwidth at home. Edited February 26, 2018 by lowrider

The chronic smacking and slapping of a snowboard on the snow to, while strapped in to the front binding, presumably to knock the snow out of the rear binding to facilitate an easier strapping in. Think someone washing their truck's mudflap and beating the hell out of it to try to knock off any dried-on mud. The louder and more dramatic, the better and more snow gets knocked off(seemingly). I visit a handful of ski areas and I haven't seen it anywhere but my hill?! It's like seeing the Loch Ness Monster, Elvis, and Jackie O playing pinball and eating chimichangas and drinking Big Gulps and the 7-Eleven(or a Mojo Nixon song). Made me laugh

I thought that was a Canadian kid thing. Like dragging your board base down through the parking lot by the front binding. Guess not.

I might lift and smack every once and a while... easy way to get off a pile of slush.
