Marc H
Just saw that two min. ago on the today show. Looks cool as hell.
Zone
that's pretty cool. He needs better boots though, can't see him swimming in that at Jaws:eek:
bobdea
did I see poles? why?
BobD
I think they should be banned from beaches. Obviously you can't be in control with your feet on separate boards. They'll be injuring surfers, and causing general mayhem. Not to mention, do we want skier types on our waves?
tex1230
did I see poles? why? stabbing kooks who drop in on you
b0ardski
did I see poles? why? binding release? slope feelers? balance enhancement? Dock takeoff would be nice with those anchors on you feet.
Gecko
I'm really hoping that Jaws kills one of these kooks
buster
if you can surf the mountain, why not ski the waves

These attitudes are extremely hypocritical coming from snowboarders.
BobD
What Buster said. These attitudes are extremely hypocritical coming from snowboarders. It didn't occur to me that anyone would think I was serious
Jack M
Heh, well, I wasn't sure, and Gecko's seemed kinda serious, so I lumped yours in with his. ;) I respect the right to think it's kooky, and maybe it is. Just pointing out that nobody wanted snowboarders on "their" hills at first either. Not that I think this is going anywhere.
powdahbonz
I gotta say that after watching this and other footage on this, it doesn't look that enjoyable. Growing up on the water and waterskiing, kneeboarding, "skurfing" and windsurfing, I just don't see the fun in it. Having the balance points of a surfboard in waves of that size would provide, IMO, more confidence and a feeling to push harder and faster without fear of eating $hit in a most spectacular way. That said, I do enjoy the ability to interchange between big skis, carving boards and softies on various frozen, watery surfaces. To each their own said the woman as she kissed her cow. Jack M
I gotta say that after watching this and other footage on this, it doesn't look that enjoyable. Agreed. File this in the "because it's there" category.
xxguitarist
Redeeming quality: these will never make it to my breaks, since there's no way they'll be paddling onto a wave. In other related news, SUPs can be awfully annoying on a small day, and dangerous in the wrong hands (feet?) on a head+ day
