No Source you sited did more than say Both Cell phones and music devices are discouraged from

use on the mountains. There is a difference in the meanings of the two words discourage and

prohibit...as you yourself said perhaps you picked the wrong word as Prohibit was and is incorrect.

I did call all the resorts you mentioned as well as Mammoth and they all said...Bring your IPOD

no problem here...so call them yourself to prove I am lying about their statements...I apologize to

Dave as well for he was just trying to share some thoughts on listening to music on the slopes and

see what others were listening to...I asked you over and over to LIST the RESORTS than PROHIBIT

not DISCOURAGE cell phones and or Music devices and You Can not List One because not one of

the Resorts has progressed from discouraging as in the safety code to a policy of applying an

actual Ban on people using their slopes with cell phones or music...

you're a complete tool, just like being drunk on the hill. it takes someone noticing it being a problem. how many times did I say that? you still want to push it, unreal. not to mention barely literate.

most resorts specifically prohibit you from listening to music while riding.

if you have a accident and the ear buds are seen it will be used against you in court if you end up in court.

You Wrote this Right?

Well, it is not TRUE that most resorts Prohibit you from Listening to music when you ride...

if it's a issue, yes, they do. the following sentence reveals what I was trying to say quite well, if you're literate.

Sunday River does not prohibit listening to music while riding...I did call 10 Resorts and all said if I show up with an

IPOD they have no policy against me riding with it. Since you believe the people I contacted do not know what their

resorts policy is, please give me a name and number of a person at any of those resorts you named who will tell me

that I and my IPOD are not welcome there.

yes, you're right. if you don't read my whole posts and take them out of context. no one EVER suggested you're not allowed on the hill with a phone or ipod in your pocket other than you. however it was said resorts try to prevent their USE while riding and loading lifts. usually only comes up after something happens though.

you'd think posting a resort's own language on the matter on this would end it, but you want to believe what you want to.

spent ten years bumping chairs and working events. ****, used to have a stack of SAM magazine in my apartment.

discourage and prohibit are not the same.

most resorts specifically prohibit you from listening to music while riding.

what I am citing is posted at lifts and is well known by patrol and lift ops departments. when you get hurt and ear buds are seen it is written down and is considered if you litigate.

here look at # 4 http://www.keystoneresort.com/ski-and-snowboard/mountain-safety.aspx

Ever hear of the Flat Earth Society? Argument as a form of entertainment. You argue reason, science, fact. They come back with psuedo-science, circular logic, twisted reasoning, unsupported information, etc. In the end they say, in one form or another, 'For you to win the argument you must convince me I'm wrong. Nothing you've said has convinced me. You loose... I win.'

Nice try Seraph. I don't think it will work. You can lead a horse to water, but......

I know...I Know...but please don't discourage me. :D

Jessep: You want answers?

Kaffee: I think I'm entitled to them.

Jessep: You want answers?

Kaffee: I want the truth!

Jessep: You can't handle the truth!

I think I might bust out the 190 At Stratton in a few weeks and be rocking this with an Amplified backpack speaker system :)

Barcodebrothers " TRAIN"

Also "Tank" is good aswellas "666" as bands worthwhile.

  • 3 weeks later...

So as to only offend half of you, I ride with one earbud, volume set a level low enough to still converse on the lifts. I have been listening to a lot of The Crystal Method as of late, Legion of Boom, The two Community Service albums and the two disc Tweekend set. It is usually drowned out by wind and the occasional sonic boom, but it's always nice to have something playing when my hearing returns.

If I'm not supposed to wear an Ipod while riding, is it ok for the lifties at Nakiska to wear one while they are working? With both earbuds in? I'm just saying.....
