  1. i'm going to wachusett tonight, (tuesday 31st). hope to see someone there.
  2. I ride at wachusett alot, in fact i'm going tonight (tuesday). btw, no, i'm not a girl.
  3. I can see why the guy would get angry, but come on...accidents happen. He probably just thought, "Punk snowboarder," and let his emotions rage.
  4. wasn't able to make it out monday because I have too much school work. First time school work has stopped me from going out. Next day I'm going is friday night, and then i plan for sunday aswell. Ive improved quite alot since you've seen me. You have obviously helped me more than anyone else, and I really appreciate it. The cant did wonders. I still owe you beer. What do you prefer?:)
  5. half the fun of riding the alpine so far is just having people stare at you. Id be walking with my board to either take a break or something and I would just watch people's heads as I walk past them. They look at me then instantly look at my board with confusion. Gotta love attention:) this picture pretty much sums it up for me:
  6. you're just a little smoother than me. =P I'm pretty close. I got the "going down straight" part down, now i just need to work on the turning part.
  7. i don't understand why hardbooters aren't as common in sbx. On an alpine board, isn't it easier to turn and what not? or is it less stable moving around in a crowd?
  8. finally going to bring sbx to main stream. Alpine snowboards will defintly get recognized alot more on the slopes.
  9. Why would the a guy say thats illegal? as for the bandanas, i see so many people doing that now. i prefer a
  10. marz, thats a good idea, flying out to chicago. Got me really thinking. and Dr. D, thanks for all the info. A ride would be great. I'll let you know. We're seeing if Jay VT would be cheaper, even though the conditions would not compare. I really appreciate the offer and I will let you know. We would defintly stay in the cheapest place possible. Pat, i think if i pay for tuition with a credit card, I would end up getting a ticket from Logan airport (boston) to martha's vineyard. You need like $100,000 spent to get a one way ticket to anywhere, valid only on a blue moon, when a Yak give birth to a 5 legged calf in Zimbabwe.
  11. now that i started work-study, i doubt i'll ever be able to go out saturdays. I think i'm limited to some monday nights, friday nights and sundays. Friday nights blow cuz its packed all the way up to 9:40. I got in only a 3/4 amount of runs i usually do. I'm going there tomorrow night, monday the 30th. gimmie a call if you wanna carve. 508 265 1974. I can now keep up somewhat so i wont be a burden :) (ive improved alot, bob ) i'm 100% addicted.
  12. amtrak not too bad. huge trip though. Something along the lines of 55 hours. Damn. Would still be cool, but i would probably go crazy. Also, i didnt realize how far away the airport is from the mountain. You gotta be 25 to rent a car. I'm only 19 :-\ I might be going to jay peak this year's spring break.
  13. jesus christ. You weren't kidding bout that before you know it, you'll have more boards than you know what to do with. You guys are insane. My goal is to keep my potential quiver to 3 or 4 boards and one set of plates. As of now, my skill is in the gutter but i was told my burton UP will last me a while, as will my boots. Hope thats true.
  14. aright i'll ask the question. If you could only keep one board, which one would it be?:)
  15. wow cheapest flight is $500 for my spring break. Not too bad, not too good. I'm glad mine is a week before everyone elses. I'll see what I can dig up money wise and if all is good, i'm there from march 4 to the 12th:biggthump
  16. aright nice i'm seriuosly considering it now. Just gotta find some nicely priced plane tickets. Which airport is the closest one?
  17. Well my carving board is the only board ive ever been on. I usually ski but if i were to take a trip, to go to a prime place, it would be to carve. Most likely, i would bring my skis along too but they suck so much. They are barely shapped and are ment just for straighlining, for the most part. Hopefully i'll make enough over the summer to invest in some better skis as well. In powder, mine submarine right under it.
  18. i think its time i whip one of my movies outta the closet. Last april, me and my friends from the wrestling team went to Clearfield, PA to eat the world's largest burger. Its kind of a big download, but its pretty funny. We showed this at a show the senior class at my high school put on. best vid there. Enjoy! btw, i'm the one in the army helmet:biggthump
  19. you guys are great! This is what one of the guys on 419 posted:
  20. ya i figured the bus is a pain in the ass. I have my car here so we just pile 4 ppl in and go. We split the gas like $3 a person so not bad. I usually don't pay for gas because it is my car. Those are the best days, its usually a kick ass time. can't wait for friday.
  21. If men truly ran the world . . . Breaking up would be a lot easier. A smack to the ass and a "Nice hustle, you'll get'em next time" would pretty much do it. Birth control would come in ale or lager. Valentine's Day would be moved to February 29th so it would only occur in leap years. On Groundhog Day, if you saw your shadow, you'd get the day off to go drinking. Mother's Day too. St. Patrick's Day, however, would remain exactly the same. But it would be celebrated every month. Garbage would take itself out. Regis and Kathie Lee would be chained to a cement mixer and pushed off the Golden Gate Bridge for the most lucrative pay-per-view event in world history. The only show opposite "Monday Night Football" would be "Monday Night Football from a Different Camera Angle". Instead of "beer-belly", you'd get "beer-biceps". Tanks would be far easier to rent. Two words..."Ally McNaked". When a cop gave you a ticket, every smart-aleck answer you responded with would actually reduce your fine. As in: Cop: "You know how fast you were going?" You: "All I know is, I was spilling my beer all over the place." Cop: "Nice one, That's $10.00 off". People would never talk about how fresh they felt. Daisy Duke shorts would never go out of style again. Every man would get four, real Get Out of Jail Free cards per year. Telephones would cut off after 30 seconds of conversation. It would perfectly legal to steal a sports car, as long as you returned it the following day with a full tank of gas. Instead of a fancy, expensive engagement ring, you could present your wife-to-be with a giant foam hand that said "You're #1!". When your girlfriend really needed to talk to you during the game, she'd appear in a little box in the corner of the screen during a time-out. Nodding and looking at your watch would be deemed as an acceptable response to "I love you". The funniest guy in the office would get to be CEO. "Sorry I'm late, but I got wasted last night", would be an acceptable excuse for tardiness. At the end of the workday a whistle would blow and you would jump out of your window and slide down the tail of a brontosaurus and right into your car like Fred Flintstone. Lifeguards could remove citizens from beaches for violating the "public ugliness" ordinance. Hallmark would make "Sorry, what was your name again?" cards.
  22. you guys should check out RJD2. Its a group with pretty cool beats. Check out the song Ghostwriter, you wont regret it. I can send you a sample if you want. I love most songs by pink floyd because their vocals go perfectly along with the instruments and sounds that you can't really call them vocals. Also, i like dream theater as well. I also love some metal along with techno and DnB.:) O fortuna is a kick ass song too. I don't really listen to music while riding yet, only skiing. lastly, you want a good mp3 player, sell ur ipod on ebay and get one of these. how awesome is it?
  23. thats very true. Without BOL, the odds of me starting hardbooting wouldve hovered around zero. I'll convert a few of my friends eventually.
  24. wow this place looks more and more likely for a spring break trip. Its cheaper than going to okemo or killington, even with the plane ticket, i think. If not this year, defintly next year. I'm not keen on going to the caribean like most of my friends. Who needs the beach and sun when you can do that in the summer. Thanks for the info. It is more likely i'll be going there next year just because I want to get carving down before I go somewhere worthwhile.
  25. i'll probably do a lil research soon. Anything is cheaper than aspen, except heliskiing (not always either). I would most defintly be flying out there and staying in the cheapest place. Probably will be able to bring a friend too. What is the average price of a lift ticket?
