i was watching the news and i saw people were out in full force having a good time near the stadium. All of the sudden they start showing people getting beat down for climbing on traffic lights, talking back to police, and just being too drunk. Only thing to fear this year was tear gas, since they can't use rubber bullets any more. What do i do? I quickly grab my camera to film the carnage!!!! Too bad the 2 gig card is already full from halloween parties, trip to NH, longboarding in CT, and other random crap so i wasn't able to get it all, but i'm sure the helicoptors got everything i didn't. Anyone else join in the fun to watch stupid people go crazy? Sadly, i didn't get anyone on film doing anything too crazy. I'll post them up tomorrow.

oh i've known about sac for quite some time now, since the first few months that it came out when it was just doing one item a day. I bought SWEET sessions tex pants there ($240 retail, got for $89 shipped) but the jackets have been lacking lately. I go on sacattack.com but no one is selling anything in my size. I don't have time to go to swaps because everyday i'm either studying or working so i can get enough $ for all the crap i don't need but still need. I was considering another sessions jacket but all the pockets stick out get shredded fast, thats why i'm looking at arc'tyrex or karbon jackets since they keep them well sealed and protected. Bob, i know what you mean about the diminishing in return as you go higher, but i discovered that with outerwear, you really do get what you pay for. I got $100 session pants that lasted me only 1 icy season and are now pretty damn absorbant instead of repelent (dizykay is enjoying them now). Since i'll be going riding about half as much this year as last, and even less the next 2 years, this jacket is an investment that will/should last me till i'm out of school in 4 years. anyways, here is the jacket i really want, but in a large, and possibly a different color. If someone sees an arc'tyrex jacket on steepandcheap, please call me, any time of day, i'm that desperate, and let me know. 508 265 1974. Mine got shredded last year. Looking for a new or barely used high end Arc'teryx, Karbon or north face. I'm looking more at the Arc'Teryx Scorpion, Sidewinder, or Theta, but will also take other suggestions. Thanks. edit: forgot to mention i need a large.

the pictures in this thread have made my week!!! So damn nicely put together. This pas week was crazy! I can hear the game from my apartment last night, thats how loud it was, and I live a good distance away. 1500 cops insure no riots. 12 people arrested after game 7 of ALCS and 3 of them happend to be my friends' friends. Go figure. They didn't do anything accepted ended up being pushed by the crowd into the horses... One thing i don't understand is how are people still paying $800 for a ticket. No game will be that exciting. I was at game 2 of the ALCS with my girlfriend(11 inning blowout in the end =\ ) and that was all I needed. I also ordered those tickets over the phone, 8-9 hours before the game for FACE value, and we had sweet seats. Just know that for any post season game not including the WS, you can always get tickets at face value over the phone in the morning. I'll post the pics in a bit.

I'm with blueB, its identical to what we do, just they have both feet forward and we don't. Looks fun though. Wish i could do that on skis, not too hard on a board.

tell you the truth, i have no clue, I just love bx boards. If you want a nice, cheap bx board, go with an oxygen supercross. I want a longer one than the 158 I have. its a really solid board that can do pretty much everything you need. Crazy stiff and perfect for those crowded days. Its also really, really easy to ride. Almost too easy. Perfect softboot carver too.

I felt so stable on the drop deck, but then I also never tried out a downhill specific drop through. It just seems that a drop deck seems so much more stable with a much lower center of gravity.

I saw someone this past weekend doing one of those tucks. I think they said it makes the board more stable...I'll try out the standard. I hope to be able to get into the high 30s next time out. On inline skates, its so much easier to go fast. on my first downhill bomb, I got into the mid to upper 40s without trying...and stupidly, without a helmet. I was curious, but i'm not that dumb anymore.
