  1. I was at loon yesterday and it was some of the hardest packed snow I've seen in my life. Super fast. Awesome carving though. I've never flexed my board so much. My trenches from the morning were still there at last run. Discovered I still suck at moderate steeps. The groomed down lower flume. It was the best trail to straight line letting you easily hit 40+ with no effort at all. I'll be there monday since tomorrow will be a zoo no matter where you go, and I wont be in driving shape on sunday because of some playoff game going on.
  2. that will be my next topsheet.
  3. only thing I know that would work is a conshox or something similar. My Madd BX is a noodle now and I'm gonna try the conshox on it when I'm not lazy.
  4. are those really worth the money for hardboots? Or is it better to just go with the S-Flex?
  5. loon tomorrow. Anyone gonna be there? Avoiding the slopes this weekend for good reason.
  6. need another set of bindings. Let me know if they're still available.
  7. never seen those before. Look interesting though.
  8. dreamweaver is a good bet for sure:biggthump
  9. that course compared to the olympic one was nothing, but still far from what I could do. Jumps are not my thing yet. The olympic course was so damn steep, I couldn't imagine doing those corners that go into jumps.
  10. if you were watching the Jeep king of the mountain, then i believe that they made hb illegal. This is coming from someone saying something about it last year, I think...or, i may be on crack.
  11. dont know much about them, but give the bomber BTS a shot.
  12. my heelside still needs alot of work. on hard snow, i can go all the way down on toeside, but still a little nervous about it on heel. right now, i am just getting the custom topsheet done by someone out here and ill send the design to some company that then sends it to bruce, and then ill have my board. Enjoy yours because I will be putting mine to use on the ice 3 times a week. and we have plenty of out here.
  13. thanks guys. :) I think I've come a long way thanks to everyone here. It wasn't too icy, but conditions were much better earlier, but a few days after, the snow was so hard and fast that I was able to carve at mach 1 for most of the day. What a great board. Can't wait to see how my metal coiler will do. I've only hit those poles one time. Thank god for large foam pads. The snow is usually the best right next to the poles so usually my edge just holds right on. I'll bring a video camera to Stowe for ECES, so we'll have plenty more vids. So psyced!!!
  14. Lol yeah its true. Do ski shops carry any foam that I could use? I might just stuff a sock between the liner and the boot cuff.
  15. They fit OK right now. The liner definitely packed out but I just like having them tight enough to cut off circulation. On the lift, I just loosen them up and crank them down when I'm ready to go. I think I'll remold them soon. Next year, I want to spend as much money as needed to get a custom footbed, best liners and what not.
  16. I'll come down for those. Wont be able to use my Madd Bx since its kinda beat up. How hard is the course? Can't wait! If i didn't have work, I'd come for the gs/sl event this weekend.
  17. i forgot that he won at the olympics in softees. I think the King of the Mtn series made it illegal to wear hardboots. I know you can in the olympics, since the 2nd place was on plates. I wanna run a sbx course because they look like they're a freaking blast, especially in that practice video posted above.
  18. I didn't know they could use hardboots in king of the mountain. I don't remember much of what I saw because it was the day of the Pats game and alcohol took control of the day, but I don't think anyone was in hardboots. Was Wescott?

    Carving board for sale

interested in bindings, if no one takes full package.
  20. Conshox is only made for boards from 2003 and earlier, i think. So its probably not necessary.

    5 BX Boards

Highly reccommend the Oxygen. Amazing board. Doesn't compare to the Madd, but it handles like a slalom board with alot of love. Very forgiving.
  22. maybe its just me, but I love the response from the UPZ RSVs. I just can't seem to have them tight enough. Last weekend, I accidentally broke a buckle from putting them on too tight. I just love cranking them tight as possible so I can get through the afternoon moguls.
  23. Loon by far! I have never been to mt snow or sunapee, but some days at loon, there could be 5-10 carvers. I heard one weekend there was 12. 2nd place would be Okemo. Its not that challenging and Ive had some of my best days last year there with one of my friends who teaches there. With Killington, you get great variety, but it takes forever to get between trails. Loon is setup almost perfectly in my opinion. You can get to almost any good carving trail you want on the whole mountain from the gondola. Let me know if you head up to loon, I ll be glad to ride with you.
  24. no prob man. We have to keep a 2.5 aswell. How did you end up doing? My first semester was easy because I already had all those classes in high school. My gpa after the first year was a whopping 2.23. So I can snowboard the following winter, I took organic chem in the summer and slacked off big time, brining me down to an astounding 2.14. I did get to snowboard 5 days a week last year and it was the best semester of my life because of that. By the end of 2nd year, i had to be up to a 2.5. I got a 3.3 1st semester, and a 3.0 2nd bringing me to a 2.499. The Dean likes me since i went to high school with his daughter, took her snowboarding and what not, so he let me stay in the major. She is a cool girl, and I didnt take her riding just because shes the deans daughter. I still have the screen shot of the online grade database we have of my gpa being that close. 3rd year is where it gets really really tough, but you actually learn stuff thats interesting and useful. I learned more this year than I did the past 5 years of school. got a 2.93 this semester and now my gpa is at 2.59 so now i have a buffer. Just keep with it, and dont slack off like I did. Make a buffer for yourself so you dont have to stress like i did this past semester. I do work better under pressure, so I think its for the best that I was so close to failing. Hope the riding went well tonight. If your knee still sticks out, put more angle on the rear foot, like Jrobb said.
