  1. It's a past life. One I have given up until I can afford to run the sleds how I like to. What can I say, I enjoy being a jackass, especially when motors are involved.
  2. Shouldn't be much top speed difference between the two. Getting to the top speed there should be a big difference. The 600 is probably liquid cooled while the 500 is probably fan cooled. This will allow the 600 to be tuned much tighter and it will also develop more horsepower. If you are an experienced rider go for the 600, if not the 500 will get you anywhere you need to go and you will have plenty of fun with it. I'm about the same latitude as the area you are going and dark is about 5-5:30 right now. Have a good time!!
  3. Ride with Curtis when you have a chance, it's a lot of funand he is solid Take a picture of your binding from farther away, I can't tell where the gash is on your binding
  4. JVB Thanks for the description in your post, it really helped me to identify some problems in my turns. Between this and some on hill coaching from Ink, I have a refined thinking of my turn Thanks Guys, you rock Justin
  5. If it is an established relationship, no problem. if it is used for a first date it could be a little uncomfortable. For a first date I would use the 6 or 12 pack and invite the other to the terrain park to watch the carnage...and successful jumps. It would be good to have camp chairs that would be easy to ski with
  6. man, that dude is out there. He seems like one of the people that would shave his head, pierce his nipples, connect them with a heavy chain and cover his mid section with tattoo's of other peoples mother's I would ride with him again, though :D :D
  7. Are you sure about setting kirtap up with him? Seems like that would be pushing the limits of decency
  8. is the 500 in Taylor Park again? I don't know if it is there every year or if it is moved around That blows about the blood clot. I understand the need to stay low key until all is well. I lost someone lose 6 years ago to a blood clot. Will you be able to ride on dirt or snow anytime soon? not sure what the recovery time is for something like this
  9. That's how I feel too. trees and rocks are the preference, but trying everything keeps it interesting. I've always loved the desert rides and am curious about the racing formats. From talking to some of the better local racers, many of the desert racers are strong on the open stuff and flail in anything tight and technical. I think that their definition of flail is probably different than mine though.
  10. Can't do it tomorrow, TVR, Snowman and I were on the hill most of today. good times. Overall the crowds weren't bad for a Saturday I probably won't get back to Lovey until January Have a great time tomorrow,
  11. I was thinking USRA in Utah. H&H just seems like a crazy style of racing. The start scares the bejeezus out of me.
  12. That is awesome!! I grew up going to the local track, never raced unfortunately. I do race Enduro's and Hare Scrambles on the dirt bike though. Looking forward to a Hare and Hound race too
  13. I've always liked a bottle of wine with a note saying when it will be consumed and the food that will be served with it.
  14. at least it is not as bad as this ebay deal http://cgi.ebay.com/Burton-Alp-Alp71-carving-alpine-race-snowboard-167cm_W0QQitemZ130179273314QQihZ003QQcategoryZ21250QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. What is the weight of that thing? How much flex is there between the two boards?
  16. over the last two days, 21"+ and another 12-18 through monday. Ropes are dropping left and right
  17. any girl that is willing to race the Baja 1000 is HOOOOOOTTTTT.
  18. I am apologizing to Bola and anyone else who found my comments offensive, that certainly wasn't my intention. I will be more concious of my remarks in the future Justin
  19. I hope recovery is swift and painless. Damn scary!
  20. This year is a low cap year also, the dog is gettting part of her lung removed,(that is her gift, or would it be her giving?). Unfortunately it is at the cost of SES, maybe I will make it for the banquet and riding on Friday. The parents will get a digital photo frame with a partially filled photo card and a visit (they are stoked!). The SO...? I won't see her until New Years, but it would be better to have something waiting for her in the car when she picks it up (which is previous to my seeing her)...I have been thinking that a bouquet of plastic flowers should be waiting in the car (plastic because whatever goes in the car will be sitting there for a few weeks before she gets it). Maybe...????!!!??? Oh hell, I don't know.. What is is that women want?????!!!!!!! This is as STRESSFUL AS IT GETS!!!! I thought Christmas was for the children!!! AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!! It is still fun, though
  21. I would like to be amazed that Burton would attach their name to something like this. This does nothing but promote a division between skiing and snowboarding. I hope that these resorts keep the rules the same for a long time to come. This lack of respect, shown for a group with a different opinion about snowboarding, only casues snowboarders to lose credibility when change is wanted or being discussed. It does seem like this is becoming a game between snowboarders and these ski areas. It would be nice if snowboarders would send diplomats instead of doped up wiggers
  22. I can't wait for your next trip out. I enjoy discussions. On this same subject, one of my best friends and I disagree hugely. In the end, I think we all want the same thing, we just have different ways of getting there. See you in a few weeks
  23. that sounds like useless. I advocate keeping land maintained and accessible to those that "own" the land. Wilderness is wasteful. Land abuse is wasteful. Forests can be maintained, used by all and kept healthy. No need to close the forest
