  1. I've got 4-5 hours of driving to get to GJ, then I figured 4 more to Monticello. got to drive the route twice, my dog would not be happy if I didn't come back. I don't think the Terry Peak race is that exciting. It is the area where I'm from and I will be using the race as an excuse to see the folks and spend time at the family cabin.
  2. I do wonder if declawing the cat would add to the excitement
  3. Sounds like a lot of fun. I just can't justify the 16 hours of driving. Snowshoe Enduro is a possibility in August. I am also going to the Terry Peak HS August 19.
  4. I agree, I'm a weekend warrior if there is traveling involved. any plans for the 21st and 22nd?
  5. I've always wanted a cat and a humingbird feeder that is 3' off the ground.. it just sounds like hours of entertainment
  6. sounds like you're sitting to much! lots of single track over here too, some four wheeler trails that can be avoided fairly easily. I raced Upton last weekend and that was some fun riding, tight single track and not to rocky, the only bad points were the 98 degree heat and the constant dust cloud. still haven't heard how I finished. Until I hear differently I think I won!! (except for the guy on my minute that I could only hold his wheel for about 10 seconds. and the other guy that was two minutes behind me and passed me in every test. other than those two I think I won....hands down). The boss is giving us thursday and friday off this week also, I think that I may go and ride the Grizzly-Helena trail and maybe spend a day or two around Fox Park. Haven't ridden at either area yet. i just got one guy who is as stupid as I am, he committed to the Griz with me on Friday.
  7. I wonder if it whistles louder the faster you go!?
  8. Me....Me.me! me!.me. I!..Oh! oh! me!. I'm a Jackass!!!!
  9. The true test of one's manhood is to dance with a cowboy.. Pictures are a must....
  10. my opinion is to do everything possible to stay off of the interstates. there is so much to see once you get off of the high speed routes. Interstates are only for getting from point a to point b as quickly as possible. one of my favorite trips is from Winter Park back to the Black Hills. I can do a six hour drive with only 10 miles on the interstate. I get to go through mountain passes, national grasslands, Deliverance type communities and quiest country roads! most excellent in my opinion. and If I were to use the interstates i might save 30 - 45 minutes on the drive, not worth it.
  11. I am a guy! worse yet, i'm a guy in a ski town! The fear of commiting to anything is strong over here too! I could give the most noncommital statement of all and say we can leave it to fate or destiny. I will come over there, I promise!!!
  12. well Michelle, I won't be able to make it over on Friday. between people coming into town the next two weekends, a race the next weekend, the fourth of july after that. This summer is going by way to fast already!!! It is going to be fun though. I swear I will make it over this summer!
  13. The few times I have driven through, it looks like a dirt biking Mecca.
  14. Won't be long. I just stretched it's legs by riding to Green River, Wy and back for the weekend. The hwy from Vernal to GR is awesome. I got involved with a branding this weekend, cool stuff. glad I am content to do it once or twice in my life. Watching the real cowboys who have been doing it for three weeks straight was impressive. I will take a day off in the next few weeks and come to see you. I am hoping that this snow wil stop falling soon so that summer can be here for the three weeks that it exists up here. i see june 8th as the likely day.
  15. The bike is OK, could always be better. At this point I am not afraid of it leaving me in the woods. The dump sounds like fun, maybe sometime in June. I will be squirreling money away for quite awhile (or at least until I buy a house), but I will keep the bike in good condition also. May have to wait on the steering damper and silencer that I want (amongst other parts). I do plan on getting a few sets of tires next month though, hopefully enough to get me through the summer and into the fall.
  16. Ohhh Yeaaa! Some of the lower trails are open over here. Rode over at Grand Lake last Thursday. I can't ride this weekend:mad: (i'll be on the street bike though). The next weekend I would be up for traveling towards your area. I haven't ridden at the Wolcott dump yet or the Red and White trails. I'm trying to be a little conservative for now, at least until more trails open up. And trying to get the money together for a house.
  17. I've heard that too, that could be a great thing for Husky and BMW. BMW may actually have real dirt bikes!! Husky could have a real dealer network!
  18. I agree, lets take guns out of this thread It is very sad that everyone is touched by this. I am relieved to know that this inspires a high level of emotion, it reminds me that the world is not as appathetic as it can seem at times. Whatever our opinions are about topics related to this incident, I think that we all offer support to those who are not dealing well with this tragedy.
  19. Or a tool to feed a family. Or a tool to protect a family. Or a tool to bond a family. Or a tool to teach responsibility. ..etc.... Everything has more than one use
  20. I look forward to riding with you again next season!! Have a great summer
  21. Are you pregnant?! Not that we would start any rumors or anything
