  1. bobdea, sent you an email.
  2. I ride in a pair of SB 413's which are softer than your boots and don't have this problem. So I doubt it has anything to do with boot stiffness. My boots would do this when I was in the process of setting them up and they weren't tight enough. Once adjusted properly it doesn't happen. My boots are size 29 and provide a pretty big lever to pull up on the toe bail but no gap opens up. What size boots are you riding? Maybe they are too small and you need to flip the toe blocks around to shorten the length. Here's the Link
  3. For forward lean setting I took a sharpie marker and drew a line under the boot cuff at the different adjuster settings before I took them off the boot. Then I just adjusted the nuts on the BTS to match the line on the boot. For preload I started out with very little. I think I have 3 threads showing on the top. Maybe a couple turns on the bottom. I figured I would start as soft as possible and add preload if I felt like I needed it. Min preload should allow maximum travel.
  4. I placed my order in October. Got my comfirmation on Oct 18.
  5. Got mine on Friday, just in time to ride over the weekend. I usually ride with my front locked and back in walk mode. Took a little getting used to but I really do like how they ride. They look great too. Also replaced my worn out toe pads with the purple Bomber verisons. Very nice.
  6. Thanks for the update Michelle. Really appreciate all that you guys do to get us quality products.
  7. I really like my Donek. Its a lot of fun and very versatile. I patrol on mine so it gets used in just about every condition. You are welcome to try it out if you ever are up at Timberline. I'm there just about every weekend. I was hoping to get over to SilverCreek but the guys running the Toboggan Clinic decided to stay at the Shoe. I think the amount of cross traffic is what had me spooked the most. At Timberline, where I ride most, you don't have that much traffic coming from every direction because most intersecting trails are at right angles and the traffic is moving slowly across them. I think Silver Creek is kind of the same. The trails run longer distances and have fewer intersections. Hard snow isn't usually a big deal. My edges need a bit of attention though.
  8. I was there last Saturday. It was a mix of bulletproof with piles of sugar. The crowds didn't seem too bad but I didn't have to wait in the lift lines. I was there for a ski patrol clinic and we were mostly in the Spruce Glades park, Grabhammer and Skip Jack. I really don't like riding there. You have to keep your head on a swivel to watch for all the cross traffic and the trails are kind of narrow. I was back at Timberline on Sunday and the conditions were much softer. I suspect Snowshoe had softened up too because everyone said the snow was very firm at T'line on Satuday just like the Shoe. Be careful and have a good time. Btw, I was on my Donek Axis 177 and rarely felt comfortable with letting it run. They do have some terrain open at Silvercreek that might be worth checking out if its crowded at the Shoe. ________ Child paxil
  9. I'd go with something slower too. I shot Kodak Hi Def in 400 spd in a Minolta Maxxum 5 a few years ago and varied my exposure times, anywhere from 15 sec to 1 min. The shots turned out amazingly. I was stunned when I got them back, the colors were more vivid than they were to the naked eye. Very little grain. That was my first time shooting or seeing the aurora. I'm in WV so we don't get to see it very often. We were clouded over in my area on Thurs/Friday so viewing wasn't possible. I'll try to scan a couple shots and post them up. ________ Melanny4U
  10. Take a look at the Cannondale Synapse series. The geometry is slightly relaxed compared to a full on road race bike. Its less twitchy and doesn't require as much attention in the handling department. Overall comfort is better than something like Cannondale's R series. My wife has one in aluminum and loves the thing. A friend has one in full carbon and is also very pleased with it. You should be able to fit one of those in price range easily. My wife's was 1500 with full 10 spd 105, triple cranks, aluminum frame with carbon fork. I think the full carbon framed version went for about 2300 with 105/Ultegra and better wheels. I'll second the recommendation for a compact crank if you are in a hilly area. I have one on my Felt tri bike and don't know how I did without it before. I can't ride more than a few miles from home without a good climb and the compact paired with a 12-26 cassette has been a lifesaver. I do lose a little top end speed but its not enough to bother me. Whatever bike you choose make sure it fits properly. Actually before picking a bike, I'd suggest going and getting a fit done by a good bike fitter. Then let them recommend a some frames that will suit you dimensions well. ________ tiny tits Cam
  11. I looked into the Samsung SC-X210L recently. It has a remote cam that you can use as a helmet cam included. Its tiny and has expandable memory. It seems like it would be great for filming at the mountain. The downside is that the video quality isn't very good and you are limited to 90 min of video with a 2gb card added. At least that's what the reviews I've read say. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Samsung-Sports-Camcorder-SC-X210L/sem/rpsm/oid/147046/catOid/-13063/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do ________ lesbians Cams
  12. I've been thinking about picking up a slalom board for this winter. I'm currently riding a Donek Axis 177. I love that board to death but would like to try something different. The hill I ride at is kind of narrow and about 1000 verticle ft so something turny seems like it would be fun. I kind of have my eye on the Volkl RT SL. Do you think the 163cm would be ok for someone 6'3" and 250lbs? Any opinions on how that board rides? Any suggestions on similar boards from other builders? Thanks ________ Live Sex
  13. I've never stayed overnight at Snowshoe during the winter so I'm not much help here. However, if you post this question up at www.dcski.com I'd bet you will get lots of good info. Also, I'd pick Snowshoe over Winterplace. Especially if Silver Creek has terrain open. Winterplace is a short hill that can be very crowded. Its right off the interstate so access is super easy and it shows. Lots of bus loads of less than skilled sliders. You'll probably pay more at Snowshoe but they will have more terrain and more to do. Winterplace is fine for a day but I'd go nuts there for 3 days. ________ Laguna Bay II Condominium Pattaya
  14. Congrats on the new friend Justin. Here's a picture of our boys. Both are pound rescues and great dogs. Yukon is a 90 lb 8 yr old Husky/Mal mix as far as we can tell. Tua is a 75 lb 7 yr old Lab/(Pit,Rottie,who knows) mix who is scared to death of water. Has big webbed feet and everything. They have 2 amazingly different personalities. Yukon is happy as long as some food shows up once in a while. Otherwise he doesn't really care if you are around. Tua is constantly at your side. He's very dependent and must have scratchins. They get along great even though they are the odd couple. Wouldn't trade them for the world. ________ Allisa live
  15. I have lost maybe a pound or two but I feel much better since I started exercising everyday. I have more energy during the day and have no problems sleeping. On a related note. I finished my first triathlon this past Sunday. It was a short distance sprint tri but it was a start. Think I'm hooked now. ________ HotCarolay cam
  16. Mine is a 2000 SV650 naked. Love the bike but I've been thinking of trading it on a V-Strom 650. Its better suited to the riding I do. ________ IAMHOTLIKEHELL

  18. I'm in too. 8-4, 30yrs old, 6'3" and 260 lbs. I've been within about 10lbs of that since my my junior year in high school. My wife has been racing triathlons this year and I've started training with her. I'd like to get down around 220 eventually. She's a good motivator, she lost 80lbs herself over the last 3 years. ________ Wellbutrin settlement

  21. at the end of the season I usually hunt around the lift mazes and loading/unloading ramps. Skiers at our area tend to spend a lot of time on the ground in those places for some reason. :) One year my wife and I were walking down the one intermediate trail after checking out the unloading ramp of the main lift. About 1/3 of the way down we found a couple quarters. 10 feet later there was another. We followed a trail of quarters for about 100 yards. I think it was around $4-5 in quarters. Apparently someone was ready for the arcade but had a hole in their pocket. We've found all kinds of crap on that hill; groomer parts, sunglasses, wrenches, gloves, lip balm, ski pole baskets, parts from the snowguns, etc. ________ LusieR live
  22. Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll try the Randals and Gumballs first. ________ HOW TO ROLL A BLUNT
  23. Another question about trucks. What is the most common combination of truck angles on longboards? 45/45 front and rear, 45/30 f/r? Most of my riding will be on large sloping parking lots and fairly flat to rolling roads for now. ________ Live Sex
  24. I was leaning toward the Flex #1. I think I'm going to go with Randal RII 180's with either Flashbacks or Gumballs in 75a or 78a. Probably Flashbacks to start with since they won't be quite as fast as the larger gumballs. I really have no base to make decisions on other than what I've read. How does the ride of the Seismics differ from the Randals? ________ Latinahorny4Ux
