I'm thinking about picking up a Loaded Vanguard this spring and I'm not sure which flex pattern to get it in. I'm about 260 lbs and dropping. Don't expect I'll ever be less than about 220-230. From their chart I should probably be riding a Flex #1. I've never ridden a longboard before and I'm wondering if I should go with a softer Flex #2 because of my lack of experience? Great. Did he have them in your size? Kind of odd finding hard snowboard boots at an XC touring shop but I think they are pretty similar to Alpine Touring boots. Actually the TR12s are AT boots. These are my wife's skis from a few seasons ago. I believe they are from 02-03. They are in good overall condition but have some scratches in the base and a few small edge dings and could use a tune. They are 181 cm, 16m sidecut. Profile is 107-70-97. The bindings are Marker 1400 Comp Piston Controls. They have been mounted only once and currently fit a mondo 24 boot. Asking $400 obo + shipping. Hey Barry, I don't ride there much but the basin side is usually pretty crowded and not great for carving because of the beginners bombing the hill. I would give Cupp some attention and if it gets too crowded head to Silver Creek. Its usually pretty empty and has some nice trails. I have a Liquid Arc 164 with light blue/metal flake topsheet. I'm not sure how old it is. It was my first alpine board and at the time I didn't really have anything to compare it to. I personally think it was an fairly easy board to learn to carve on. Its not super narrow and is pretty forgiving. I only paid $60 for it so maybe that skewed my opinion of it some.
