Thanks Guys - I will be there Sunday at opening for sure!

If anyone is intested in joining me, I will be riding mornings at Eldora (9am-12pm) from Tuesday 3/22-Friday 3/25. I have to work in Boulder 2pm-10pm. I'd try Loveland (haven't been yet) during the week but the drive is a bit much to make it back to Boulder in time.
I'm thinking of Keystone or Loveland for Sat/Sun(3/26-3/27) but have set on anything yet. I wonder if the Loveland crew will be out on Sunday? Any other suggestions?
Cheers!
Gene

So we all have to stop at least 6 times on a run to tell each other how awesome and cool we look, we spot rollers, and we also rotate at least one person under the lifts to tally all of the shout outs we get :D

Pat,
neat to see a post on this Gizmo,
Any chance you have been on the Apex, Bomber or Donek plate? Also which bindings are/were you using.
I am curious how these device compares to the benefits of the new isocline/mono-plates or even the TD2/3 with suspension kit.
Inkaholic has been on the both the Gizmo and the Bomber plate

Lance, you are welcome, sorry I did not have much left in the tank. That board is a beast, my calves were talkin' to me most of the week. Don, sorry you won't be around, it just ain't the same without your freak flag flyin'. I take it you finally got internet in rock springs, good to hear from you

Out of curiosity, how busy does Loveland get on the presidents day weekend?
I'm thinking of sneaking up for a day but the thought of fighting 37 bazillion people on the slopes and I-70 doesn't really appeal to me.
Matt
They have been groomin the snot out of lovey this season so even when ALL of the lots have been full we have had room to rip, hard to say what's goin to happen with the snow movin in, maybe most will be headin to ail and their secret stashes, if you do come up, make it sunday, the kook factor seems a bit lower even though I am there

I was waiting to get 2 days on the same board and after 2 weeks it finally happened. As far as glide goes, scary fast in temps ranging in the low single digets to low 30's. I know that is not a quantifiable term, but I was out for fun and not running gates so you will have to take my word for it. I rode the following boards: 186 f2 speedster, 185 virus spartan evo, and a 184 Donek gs. None of the boards showed a need for a rewax after one day, nor did the donek or the f2 after 2, I still have only one day on the virus since the last waxing. The Virus and the Donek where both ridden on firmish colorado hero groom, and the f2 was ridden on firm groom with 6" fresh on top, and on a soft groom the following day. Hot Rod still wears well even when using significantly less material when using the wax wizard.

New mistress is a demanding one, my front leg was cramping up on the way down the hill after 3.5 hours of bliss and punishment, cannot wait to do it again. D, you were killin it on that snakeskinned beast, though I have to say Derek looked pretty damned good on your monster, especially going the "wrong way". Shelly, way to take the gauntlet the little man threw down and run with it, scrub is always an adventure and I was impressed to see you rippin on it. James, put that three on front and get ready to enter a whole new world of riding, today was the best I have seen you ride, good job! Lance and Marie, nice to meet you, congrats on you nuptiuals tomorrow, and good job on that riding. Kai, you rock little man, and you up your game every week, way to go!

I feel I have to defend an older Tanker here
I have been running TD2's or OS2's on my 02/03 wide since I got it in 2006. It only comes out on pow or really soft groom days. I have stuffed the nose and done several nice impressions of lawn darts, hit rocks and stumps, and had landing issues on more than a few misguided attemps at putting daylight under my board, and as of yet I have not had a problem at 250+ depending on recent beer intake. I have also run plates on a few older Limited LTD's(the ones made in Canada) without issues. If you must run plates on a freeride board, make sure it is a 02/03 tanker and you should not have any problems
