  1. One mis-typed word and I sound like a pirate. Arrrrr.......
  2. The WC plate gets dimppled from the four bolts. I crank the king pin, then adjust me corner pins to desired angle. One all four are toughing the base plate, I tighten each a quarter turn working from corner to corner untill all are tight. I ususally stop right when the wrench starts to deflect under hand pressure. One they are set, I can usually just undo them all a few turns befoe I loosen the kingpin for removal. Remember to always tighten the kingpin without pressure from the other four bolts.
  3. I'd love to hear how it holds up after stuffing the nose, lift line collisions, etc. First Prior I've even considered in years, but I'm not going to really think about it till I know they hold up. I usually keep my "keepers" for a long time. Thanks for the review Jack!
  4. "I mean for that kind of money, you can get step-in bindings, a nice coat, an I-pod " Bull. You can get a quality helmet for $50 without even trying. Leedom, Pro-Tec, Gyro, Demon, etc.- between google, ebay and Big 5, there is no reason any kid with an allowence shouldn't have a helmet. When I was in college I worked my butt off to buy snowboard gear, and a good helmet was litteraly the first expensive piece of gear I purchased, but I could have spend a lot lss on a good lid on sale. I teach with a school that brings about 100 kids to the hill twice a week. Its a rare week we don't call 1 parent that their kid has a concussion. They ALL have helmets. I'd hate to make that call with anything worse then a concussion. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/prod_list_display.asp?dept_id=L2~2246&mscssid=AA81513C8AFB4E018A32429D0190AE97 http://www.snowshack.com/protec-helmets.html http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007LI60I/103-5940080-7154210 http://www.rei.com/outlet/category/40003838.htm?vcat=OUTLET_SSHP_SKIING_AND_SNOWBOARDING_SA If you don't want to wear one, fine, but c'mon, dont tell me you can't afford it. Ok, off the soapbox.
  5. Would it count if he died? I'v got no problem with idiots hucking of huge ass cliffs, but comeon, dude didn;t even stick it! I'm no cliff hucker, but if I bust off a 300 footer and somehow live, why even count it if I don't ride out? We thought skidding was a problem, at least skidders are riding down the hill. Thats like buying a snowboard and calling yourself a rider.

  7. Mounted an old pair of O2/Snowpro plates, just aft of center. Looking foward to surfing off of 9990 at the Canyons tomorrow. To bad Snowbird isn't free on a pow day  I'll have the screwdriver in the pocket and report back. Thanks for the help guys! Nils, I'll see if I can get any action shots tomorrow, otherwise it will be classic leaning aginst the wall shots :D Ahhhh...1'-3' predicted for tomorrow
  8. Just got my new 185 Undertaker Just wondering how you guys mount these up. The nose and camber are so far off from my other decks. Both insert packs are 5 long, the middle measuring about 21", pretty close to my stance width. Should I mount foward, with setback, right in the middle? I know its all personal, but who want to waste time on a powder day screwing with binding placement? Thanks guys, E
  9. Sold pending payment. Thanks Jon!
  10. <img src="http://tinypic.com/jpcz90.jpg" alt="Image hosted by TinyPic.com"> <img src="http://tinypic.com/jpcww8.jpg" alt="Image hosted by TinyPic.com"> Hope that helps! Oh, and Cateks not included :D
  11. I'm told the board was a prototype. 19cm waist, fairly short nose and approx a 15m sidecut. Carbon and wood derby plate mounted. Plate is in excellent condition, board is in good shape, but not perfect. A few repaired top sheet nicks (filled with epoxy). The derby plate is t-nutted on, and the holes are filled with epoxy. I've been slowly filling them wth black p-tex for a cleaner look, but they do not affect board feel. $225 shipped from SLC, $200 for local buyers. With the price of Kildy plates, this is a good deal for just the plate. Would also trade for a swallowtail in good shape, 175cm and up (not interested in Wintersticks really). Pics will b up tonight.
  12. I teach at a highschool weekend program. Not AASI. I applied at Park City and it seems I can't work at PCMR in hardboots as an instructor. I showed up to a hiring clinic the other day and was told it was a no-no from the man in charge. My feet haven't met a soft boot they like yet, so I had to walk. Kinda bummed, I'd been looking foward to the clinic since Sept. I even showed up on a freeride board wearing my baggies to try and blend in. I have a friend that has worked there for a number of years, and it sounded like a cool gig. I'm not sure if the hardboot exclusion is AASI freestyle oriented, or a PCM thing. I seem to be teaching kids fine in hardboots at my other job. I should email Martin and see what his take is on it.
  13. Looking to sell my Comet slalom board. Bamboo and carbon construction.Comes with tracker trucks and Hyper/ Seismic wheels. Like new condition. Looking to get $100 plus shipping. Available for local pick up in the SLC/PC areas. Would also trade for an alpine snowboard in the 160 and up range in similar shape, plus some $$ for the right stick. I'd also trade for an older set of Catek, Bomber, Snowpro race or Phiokka bindings. http://tinypic.com/fkd3s9.jpg
  14. Number 2 doesn;t really make sense to me. I know I put lateral stress on my boot sole. What is this "neutral" position. I think the tape idea is your best bet. Another idea is the soft clear PVC tube from the hardwear store, slit to fit over then taped. Same idea, just a little firmer. I've seen his on several pair of Catek WC's.
  15. The best part is I can rock a rail slide with that shirt sporting my Safari of similar vintage and matching Safari headband....well, that is if I learn to rail slide.... :D
  16. I'll be there, at least for part of it. Mmmm....
  17. I have a Comet slalom deck in near new condition with Hyper/Seismic wheels and Tracker trucks. Looking to trade it for a 163ish 9m slalom deck. Nothing under 160, please, I have a 155 Prior I love. Deck dependent I might be able to set you up with a few SL extras as well. Looking for Burton FP, F2, Identity, etc in similar condition. <img src="http://tinypic.com/fkd3s9.jpg" alt="Image hosted by TinyPic.com">
  18. I remeber the cant on the bottom of those. Similar, i guess, to the Phiokka rotating disc (sort of). In lieu of a base plate, I'd get some fit foam to stick under there. It distorts enough to fill the voids between the teeth, and provides enough extra traction to help them from rotating.
  19. Mr.E

    Burton plates $100

    Sold pending payment.
  20. Lots of folks use these with Burtons, so I don;t imagine its an issue. I've never molded my own liners, but Dave Morgan has some good info on his site. I can't imagine you would have issues if you didn't overcook them.
  21. Burton race plates, $100 shiped in the US. I'll try to get a pic up today.
  22. New, never molded Dual Density thermofit Intuitions, 26 mondo. $75 shipped in the US. <IMG SRC="http://tinypic.com/eqv0o8.jpg" ALT=>
  23. Nice code for splitting Zack. Sean seemed willing last time I emailed him, great to see someone who can follow up on the idea! I'd love to get a solid shape from Sean as a pack board- something in the mid 150's with a 10m radius. Short Axis with a big radius. Ahhhh...if I had the cash
