several years ago i snapped 5 ribs in CO and the fear of getting a bill that looked like this informed my stupid decision to get myself off of the hill, unassisted. i foolishly left the scene like I’d robbed a bank or something ( i hit a fixed object, not another skier/boarder)i wish I could say I was in shock or unaware of the extent of my injuries, but a piece of paper like barryj’s bill for transport was precisely what i was thinking about the whole time.

the flames on the Kessler are good flames, as flames go. just a theme that is played, IMO. my 185 is all black. Previously, I had a white one and a bare metal - both 185. I liked the red one that I saw in CO a few years back. I think Kessler should leave the flame graphics to others. Swiss Army knives don’t have flames.

I went straight to the 8:00 and watched……twice. Wow. I will go back and watch how they did the video it but I am sure that I will never understand how the guy on the bike did what he did.

I am intrigued. In soft boots (size 15), lowest angles i ever run are +45\+30. I get it, totally. My first cautious thought was that maybe I don't want to go in the trees with those things. Otherwise, I would love to try them. Good luck

Kessler 185 (black) super good condition

It works and works well. I can attest. Mike is an Olympian so he can probably ride a lunch tray smoothly but there was absolutely nothing gimmicky about this creation. I saw Mike on this (w/Head Rebels) at Sunapee last year. Presumably, he was testing/refining. Rode a chair or two with him, along with my daughter. all the best to you, Kildy. Pleasure meeting you

Previous owner of my house “conveyed” a can crusher - same make, same model. 23 years and I am still looking at it. Used it once to see if it works.

Thanks for the heads up. Nice for the Pittsburgh area bunch, for sure. It is 3 hours drive from me and I rarely go there, but now maybe I will go there one or two days a season.

my thoughts exactly, BlueB. not too worried because i know it's not a stiff board, i have the 3800 in the same length and am familiar with the feel (and i like it). the nose on the 4807 looks like it has a little more float than the 3800 and the tail on the 4807 looks like what i want behind my back foot on steeps/in bottomless/at speed. my hunch is that the 4807 looks like what i want when i want to frequently modulate speed in pow. i pretty much always ride Tankers in pow, 187 - 200. comparatively, and given my size, the 4807 seems short and nimble looking enough for me.

ha ha ! when I saw the pic, i got a good laugh. it's especially funny because I am getting a few powder boards together for a cat trip in January with a group of friends who always expect me to show up with a bag full of race boards. the first time i ever hung out with this particular group was in Park City and I ended up hiking to the top of Jupiter peak in hard boots and an old race stock Burton FP 185 (RIP). arneburner has an SG for sale that is actually a fairly good candidate for my needs. i bought b0ardski's Osin 168. the Osin is not short or darty, but it is shorter and dartier than my Tankers, for sure. still looking for one other, shorter, more nimble board

arneburner's ? i was thinking about it but my concern is the stiffness - not too stiff ? i am probably not going to be in hard boots. stiff soft boots and NX2-GT bindings, but not hard boots.
