  10. two of my daily riders are SL boards. I have a FP157 and a Speed 160. I ride these since I ride a smaller mountain. The Speed cant take petty much anything thrown at it but the FP is a perfect groomer board only..I love them both since I can turn on a dime to get out of anybody's way
  11. I got: one new baby due April 18th and I do mean a real baby....number 3
  12. because it is fun...use to have a 89 jeep..my daily driver but lucky for me there was a number of old logging trails behind my house...so much fun...that jeep was about 5 years old when I got it but if I was to buy a new one today I would still take it off road. The only thing you will have to remember is "If you want to play you have to pay"....I snapped leaf springs, took out shocks, trashed rims and punctured a few tires...but it was all worth it
  13. Are you getting the regular or the unlimited version...when my payments are done on my current car I plan on getting the unlimited
  14. if the R17 160 is anything like a Speed 160 its not a bad boards. I am 5'6" 180lbs and have no trouble pushing it around. Its the board that I really started to carve on but I outgrew it within a season
  15. Here is my story....Was at one of the Burton Demo days when Mountain Creek was still Vernon Valley. Wanted to try hard boots for the first time. Took out a FP159A. The guy setting up the board gave me a few pointers...one of them being "you have to put you weight over the front of the board"...well green trail carving pretty good and then bam...folded the nose and went face first into the snow...finish the run and when I got back to the Tent the guy ask me if I went over the nose.....I said yes how did he know....He says everybody does that the first time out...
  16. both sizes are fine...I ride the Creek over at the South Mountain...unless you get something with a sidecut bigger then 13...I ride a Prime 67 with a 12.29 SC and have no problems. I plan on going bigger myself (madd 170 or donek FC 170ish) when this whole family thing of mine calms down a bit. (got a 6 month old and my wife is 3 months PG). Every now and again the Creek gets a little to busy for the HB so I always bring my softies with me just in case.
  17. was out for halloween one night....I was dressed in drag as a punk prom date...my one friend was a used maxi pad /w wings....the other was dressed up as superman wearing cowboy boots siting in a wheelchair for the night and his girlfriend was his hot nurse....get pulled over coming back from the bar...the cop laughed so hard he just let us go...

  19. I ride my soft on soft spring days..pipe dont do the park and powder....I ride 21/9....but i have not been able to get out alot lately so since i like to ride HB more than softies I save my days to go for perfect carving weather..I am still playing around with my HB angles rode 51/54 18 inch two years ago and switch to 51/48 19 inch last year
  20. I got a pair of Rulers from a while back maybe 2002...cant compare to the new ones..but these have a hard "plastic" tongue and a power strap...very stiff for a soft boot....but if i ever buy a softboot again it would be the driver x
