    Coiler NSR

Hello, for what weight range was the board build for? Also I'm not familiar with the coiler flex patterns, can you help me out a bit please?
  3. I understand the idea behind the sentimental value of this board. Whoever bought it probably didn't make a dent in his/her wallet. Funny thing tho - collectibles are only that much worth as much you are willing to pay for it. But that won't change a thing: it's something you can put on your wall and look at it. Perhaps to brag about it to your friends. Perhaps an investment for later? Who knows… (I can imagine how many people are raising an eyebrow on me right now) I probably can't really appreciate it, because I'm more of a "let's do things" person instead of a "let's have things" kind a guy.
  4. Hmmm, I don't know… 31K for a slab of wood on the wall?! I could have a lot more fun for a lot less money with boards from Bruce or Sean. I collect toys myself and sometime it is okay to fork out a bit more money for a special set, but 31K?! Yeah, I don't think so. Would be interesting to wait and see the feedbacks from buyer and seller.
  5. This was my second season wearing the Level half pipe gloves. Also bought the same pair of gloves for my girlfriend who just got into snowboarding. So far so good, no one got hurt yet. (knock-knock) I can only recommend the biomex wrist protection. Have tried many other ones before but this one seem to be the best solution so far.
  6. We had 4(!) hardbooters @ holiday valley past weekend…..That was an absolute record…
  7. It sounds funny, but you may be surprised... When traveling overseas, my girlfriend has been told numerous times to say she is from Canada when asked.
  8. This looks just terrible.. :(
  9. Nothing new or special this year so far, however, last weekend 3 of us hardbooters are getting on the lift, while the liftie approached us and said: "did you guys ever try real snowboards?"...wow!
  10. Well done comrade! I could tell a sad story too how a drunk driver changed our family - forever Never understood drunk driving, especially because I work with and around alcohol every day. Even more surprising seeing people liquered up and/or high on the slopes. Very-very sad...
  11. Thanks, I have already checked out that thread as well. After all, I ended up talking to Fin today and we've went through those questions. So I'm a proud owner of a new SW SI binding and a set of Fintec heels now. Well, I guess the only thing we're missing now on east coast is snow. Comapedrosa: with a "little mark" I mean a little dent on both sides. First it seemed the toe bail isn't wide enough or the boot is too wide (depends whether you are a pessimist or optimist), but after one season no issues at all. (knock-knock)
  12. I ride UPZ with TD3's and worked out well last season. The side of the toe bail left a little mark on both sides of the boot though. Breesej: I didn't experience any issues with my UPZ boot. Does the t-nut rule apply to the newer (2012-2013) models as well? Thinking about changing to SW SI's with FinTec heels this year. Something I should be aware of? I have tried to look up older posts about this topic, but they didn't really answer my question. I could use some advise...
  13. Yess! Olympic Doneks are great boards. Had great fun last season with the blue 177gs from you.
  14. Unfortunately there is nothing new about this.....and there is nothing you can do against either. G M O is everywhere from vitamin c to the candy bar, from the giant shrimp to (even) honey... :( This is exactly the reason why you should try to grow your own veggies and fruits - as much as possible. We are doing it and it is not a rocket science. Buy from local producers and avoid big chains. One day mother nature will take her revenge - until then keep up the good spirit.
  15. i would say an average of 7 out 10 are dumb questions and usually at the end of day i'm starting to run out of patience. however, to pull the foreign card "me speak english little" always works and there is an odd silence for the rest of the ride :P i'll be out on sunday, see you there.
  16. second in line. email sent.
  17. pretty smart, thanks. actually i have purchased a few of the small round shaped step mats/aluminum spikes and placed on several spots on the board. that works too. today, while riding next to a group of young kids I have heard a pretty loud: what the f@ck is this...? - while looking at my board.
  18. Wow...who knows, might be a 5O%off on the second pair...
  19. Really? If that happens to me, I would have wrapped the ski pole around his neck.... On the other hand it happened to me several times while waiting in the line people slide on/over my board - leaving markings on the top sheet. This makes my blood to boil...
